Arrivederci Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
Arrivederci is our "go to" saturant for celebrations. We have been going there for more than 20 years and have yet to have a bad meal. The food is consistently excellent, the staff both friendly and professional and the ambiance is what you would expect from a first class Italian restaurant. With a reservation, I have never waited more than 5 minutes. Without one, it may take a little long, but the Maitre D' will tell you about how long you can expect to wait and make you comfortable while you wait. I am a fan of the restaurant and wish them much more success in the future, since I intend to continue to eat there.
The food had very little taste. I had the penne pasta with Vodka sauce. The sauce was watery with absolutely no taste. my oowife had the lobster ravioli and she was also very disappointed with the food. The service was very slow and the restaurant was noisy.
We were out of towners so no idea where to go. Found this on Open Table and decided to try since it was close by. My friend enjoyed the meal, me not so much. The fish I got was salty. Salt and I do not get along! The place is nice and the service is great. At the end of the meal the owner walked over with a glass of Limoncello. which was so nice and unexpected.
We have been going to Arrivederci for years. Love their basil dipping sauce and several of their dishes. It's a great neighborhood place. However....their house wine is Liberty Creek. Yikes. And they charge $7.50 a glass when you can buy the LARGE bottle of Liberty Creek at Total Wine for $4.98. I find that price gouging and just ridiculous.
Last year at this time we were very impressed with the foo and service. This year we were disappointed. My chicken parm was tough, probably overdone. My wife’s pasta dish was mediocre. Maybe they have a new chef?
Service was just ok, although our waitress did check after the food was served, she never looked back our way during our meal, and we wanted to order another glass of wine.
I was super disappointed with my meal. Ordered Chicken parmigiana with angel hair pasta. Came out with ziti but I did not even mention it to the server because that was not a big deal. What was a big deal was that the chicken cutlet was SO THIN that I could only taste the breadcrumbs. I have never in my life seen a cutlet which is so paper thin that the only thing you can taste are breadcrumbs. Never. The sauce was good and the server herself realized that I was supposed to get angel hair and brought out a dish with angel hair. Frankly, I don't feel I will ever return again and can't recommend this place to anyone else. This is not our first time here so I am shocked by the meal I received.
