Arrivederci Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
Oh how I love this place. Great food, Great service. I've been here a number of times and have never had anything other than excellent. I had the salmon and it was totally delicious. My husband had the lasagna and he said it was the best he's had in a restaurant. We'll be visiting again for sure.
We have been visiting Scottsdale for several years now and always return to this restaurant for good food, family atmosphere and excellent service. Being from the UK we love being served portions that you are able to eat without taking a box home! Thank you Arrivederci. We will be back soon.
This was our first time dining at this restaurant. The restaurant is in the corner of a strip center with ample parking. This is a neighborhood restaurant, not pretentious but attractive . We were warmly greeted as we entered and seated at a four top in the smallish ( which is bigger than small) dining area. Our server promptly introduced herself and recommended a couple of dishes from the menu, one of which we ordered. Warm bread was next, served with pesto infused olive oil, good but not great. Our entree's were served piping hot in about 10 minutes. I had sausage and peppers and my wife had the eggplant. Both were very good, not fabulous, but good enough to come back again.
We were among the first customers to arrive on this particular week night and when we got there the tv in the adjacent bar was so loud ( and so obnoxious in that it was tuned to a political newscast) that it was distracting. I asked the server if they could turn it down? Absolutely, she replied and promptly turned it off, to the applause and thumbs up from the other diners that had wandered in. Loved it!
We had a great meal at Arrivederci. The place is very old-school, classic Italian-American. We loved that the front staff spoke Italian to us when we walked in. We also speak a bit of Italian and think it's fun to use it. The service was excellent and to be honest, was a bit too attentive for our taste. We know that we are very unusual in this regard. Most Americans would absolutely love the attentive service at this restaurant. But there were times when the waitress completely interrupted the flow of our (important) conversation to ask us how things were going and ignored our quick nods of approval (trying to send her the message that everything is fine and we are engaged in conversation that we don't want interrupted) and continued to talk to us despite our attempts at being involved in our own thing. The bus staff was somewhat over-attentive too, in that they whisked things away when we merely paused. Again, I know most Americans would be fine with this. We like a waitstaff that looks at us frequently but doesn't interrupt us unless we motion to them. But again, I don't think this should count against them. The food was very good. It was what we would call "comfort food." We had the fettuccine alfredo, the ravioli, the fish special, and the pasta special. It was all very good. They brought us limoncello at the end of the meal which we love and I believe they said it was house-made which is always a plus. Overall, a great place for classic Italian fare.
Food was very good, wish they had a chicken / veal Scarpiello offering. Seems no italian family restaurant makes this dish! Instead I had the chicken with hot sausage and peppers which was good tasting and reasonably priced as with all other dishes. We will frequently this restaurant again as we like the family cooking and overall environment. Parking can be tight.
From the friendly hostess greeting & seating us, to our waiter Giovanni & his helpers, we felt pampered. Great ambience, excellent wine list & food options to satisfy anyone. Our meals were served promptly and just as ordered & wish we had room to try their desserts. A nice unexpected touch to conclude with each being served a shot of limoncello on the house, however. We plan to return!
The staff helped lend an Italian flare to the dining experience. Groupon was a great way to try out Arrivederci's and was well received by our waiter. I always tip on the original price and the staff shows their appreciation by graciously accepting the groupon and makes you want to return.
