Arriva Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
I decided it was time to switch from my usual order of spaghetti and meatballs (always delicious); so I had a spinach fettucini with salmon... OMG so good! The others had various seafood pastas - the shrimp in white wine sauce was "the best I've ever had". And the one who had spicy shrimp also loved his dish.
We were treated well and with lots of good humour on the part of the waiter. The food was well prepared and, although not especially creative in presentation, met our expectations. My friend's birthday was acknowledged with a candle but not any embarrassing display-whew! A good place to celebrate a special event, particularly for those with fairly conservative tastes in food.
We have been eating at Arriva since the 1980s . That tells you something right there! Travelling in from Richmond and White Rock (1 hr drive .. traffic dependent ). Do you not remember having any bad experiences with our meals. Always tasty and plentiful .
The wine list is somewhat limited we commented to each other the last time we were there September 2017. I can still remember a few gigantic parties that took up the entire restaurant. The set menu dinners are great for it parties. I also remember my husband's big birthday when I surprised him with a rental Ferrari and a group of good friends all had dinner together. Service is excellent all of the specials are explained and I can't say enough about this restaurant is very very good
Great Italian food - never disappointed when we go to Arriva's Paolo normally will appear and check to see if everything and everyone is OK. He is an attentive host always. His staff are also a lot of fun and very accommodating. We have our favourite regular menu choices as we don't eat meat. However, there are lots of options for everyone. There is a private room available for
special occasions which we have used for family birthdays. This is a friendly casual restaurant that offers high-end quality and service. Great wine menu and full bar options are also available. Once you go you will become a regular like us.
Our family had dinner and enjoyed the European flair . With the European flair comes some servers that rush and dont live but overall great experience and we will return.
Feature was a Grilled calamari that takes me back to Italy. Pasta great and overall great flavour.
Ended our meal with our 4 year old getting lemon bowl ice cream which she thought was pretty cool.
The food was excellent. Our server was hard to hear, very soft spoken. Service was ok. We asked for a minute to decide on beverages and the server just lingered about. It was awkward. When the bill came it was all on one large bill instead of separated out as we had asked. We spent about 15 minutes at the end trying to add up our respective choices and paying. And again the server linger right by your side while you were using the interac machine. Usually come here for lunch and it's always excellent food. Thought we would try it for dinner...will probably stick to lunch. Different staff and better service.
1st time at Arriva. Tried out the DineOut menu. The linguine with mussels appetizer was entree size at other restaurants. Used the foccacia bread to soak up the tasty tomato sauce. Squash soup was very good. Veal was too salty since prosciutto was put on top. The trout was good. Large size tiramisu. Shared one and took the rest home.
