   We made a reservation on Open Table, when we got to the restaurant they said they saw the reservation however they couldn’t honor it because they were too busy!

   Took my sister who came from Puerto Rico to visit for the weekend and we all had a great experience and much fun. Great place for any occasion I would say.

   I was a little confused about the menu. There were some dishes that were native of Colombian food and this was a Mexican Restaurant. Either way the food was good.

   Friendly service, amazing food at a great value. The owner even came over to make sure we were happy and satisfied. Of course we were, every thing was fantastic. Mind you, this is after seeing the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular and the Rockefeller Christmas Tree... so we had pretty high expectations. We were NOT disappointed.

   Great spot, worth the trek to Sunnyside. Went for Sunnyside Restaurant Week, got 3.5 courses for ... $25 was it? Expensive but delicious cocktails, too. Good food, our waitress was helpful with suggestions.

    We went on the first night of Sunnyside restaurant week and I think they were still working out the kinks. Our server was so kind to substitute a regular Margarita for a frozen one, but then we had to ask for the guacamole that was included in the prix fixe and the cup was tiny! The appetizers were amazingly delicious but my entree was just fine. I wish I had gotten the chorizo tacos like I always do instead of ordering off the prix fixe.

    Food was terrible. Waiter got one order completely wrong. My huevos rancheros were supposed to be poached but yolk was completely hard. It took the kitchen almost an hour to make 6 brunch orders and the restaurant was almost empty. I would not recommend this restaurant.

    I prefer better food. I arrived from California late night and was hungry. It didn't satisfy my cravings for a dinner. I was glad they were open as well as served late. I'm pretty picky about choosing GMO Free corn products and prefer veggie options. For a Mexican joint there weren't many if any veggie options.

    Happen to be in the neighborhood on Father's Day. Booked a table right away and walked in. Food was not a disappointment except for dessert. This place definitely needs to stick to Mexican/Spanish desserts. Can't mess up Churros but everything else out of their realm. Service, ok. Our waiter was attentive, accommodating but lackluster with understanding. When in America learn the language (English) of the land and use it. Practice makes perfect. At the end of dinner, he received a 21% tip and was noted looking disappointed &pointing our table out. Service people have become too self-entitled even to the point of asking why tip amount is what it is and declaring that they USUALLY receive X amount. Seriously?! Gratuity is optional not mandated. Will not return but would recommend others try for a tasty meal.

    First time was a charm. Female bartender must be new cause she messed up a simple margarita, twice. And shrugged when the drinks were returned. Our sever was very accommodating, spoke to manager who had to oversee the making of the drink. Male bartender got it right! Food was out of this world. So flavorful. Will return. Maybe to the Manhattan location.

    So I have been to arriba arriba a couple of times and obviously I love the place or else I wouldn't go back. But the other night Sunday 2/15/15 there was my first ever issue with the restaurant and that was the drinks . I know every drinks are made different but the drinks on Sunday were way of compare to other times . I will still go back it was the first time ever so im Pretty sure it wou dnt happen again

    We made a reservation just because I was having a hankering for a margarita! I was very pleased. I had two and they were delicious. The only thing we ate was the guacamole but it was delicious. Next time we will order the spicy version as the medium was hardly spicy at all. The place was all decorated for Valentine's Day and it looked really cute. Also our server was really knowledgeable about different tequilas so it was fun to give some a try!

    We had dinner there on New years quite early, around 7pm. The restaurant was filled maybe half-way. "You can only sit here up to an hour and a half," was the only thing the waiter said to us after we sat down, "because we have reservations." I was one of those reservations, but that didn't seem to matter. The waiter rushed our order forgetting to ask whether I wanted my enchiladas with chicken or cheese. I caught him before he left. One of my tablemates ordered the same exact thing that I did...and for some reasons, our wraps were completely different. The food was great but the waiter never checked on us once. Again, it wasn't nearly as crowded as they seemed to think it was. When we finally got the bill, there was not only a 20% gratuity added on (for three people) but there was a new years surcharge as well which we were never told about. The waiter's only explanation was, "that's because we're not supposed to be open. It's a holiday." He also showed us a small thing at the bottom of the many paged menu that wrote that. He still should have told us in advance. The food at Arriba Arriba is always good generic Mexican food but because our service was so lousy, we won't be going again.

    Went for Mothers Day and really had an enjoyable dinner! Guacamole very good as well as the Spinach enchildas and the Mole chicken! Fun and festive!

    for me, it's rare to find a Mexican restaurant where the food isn't greasy, this spot has become one of my favs food is just amazing everytime the drinks are strong (pineapple frozen margaritas are amazingness) & the servers are really friendly & welcoming!

    Had a surprise party for my husband and it was a total success. The staff was helpful in seating my guest before we arrives unlike other places who insist the whole party is there before seating. I pre-ordered sangria for the table and they obliged. It was a great surprise for my husband and all the guest had a wonderful dining experience.

    The place was so noisy we had to shout to hear each other. My chicken was so dry and overdone I ate less than half my meal. Servers were very good - pleasant and patient with us as we took a while to decide on our orders. Would not go back or reommend to others.

    Great food hands down and the margaritas were awesome! The music was very energetic and loud, made for dancing. Maybe it was like that because it was the night before Cinco De Mayo but it was really fun! Good atmosphere for groups of friends, not so much a date place.

    Had seen Arriba Arriba from commute nad was curious about trying it. Was very happy I did, the party of 5 people I was with enjoyed the restaurant very much. Will come back again.

    It wasn't flavorful and one of the dishes with rice and beans, certain batches in the rice has tiny rocks of salt which was very unappetizing. The waiting for the food was too long, by the time it arrived the food was slightly war. Their salsa was too watery and the chips tasted stale.

    It was Valentine's Day. Not the best day to review a restaurant but Arriba Arriba did well. The online V-day menu (selections, pricing) was different from what was offered at the restaurant but it was still a good value. Margarita/Sangria were delicious, as were the chicken flautas and Mexican steak (cooked perfectly). All in all, a great dining experience and we will return time and time again.

    One of the best things about this location is the restaurant takes bookings unlike their Manhattan location. Same good food & drinks and quieter ambience! Worth the train ride- easy to locate as close to subway!

    This was our third time to Arriba Arriba and we like it. Our first time, my wife and I sat at the bar and shared the gigantic Lover's Margarita and chicken quesadilla. On a Saturday night they have a DJ blasting music and the atmosphere is fun. The second time we came was with family on a Sunday and we had a nice relaxing dinner. This third time we came for Mother's Day and again the food was good as were the drinks. Nachos and chimichangas are the best here.
