The "Braise Short Ribs" were rare which was not what I ordered or expected with short ribs. So therefore were not tender at all. The side dishes were lacking the advertised potato. The rest of the food and drinks were great. They did discount the bill and give us a coupon for another visit, if we ever decide to go back. I use to go to be very happy with everything on the menu here. Dis appointed for a 7th Anniversary celebration.
It was good - probably could have used another waitress as our food was brought out at different times and when paying the bill one of us used the machine while she still waited on tables, so there was a delay in getting out of the restaurant. Overall the food was great and it was quiet enough to catch up with friends
Celebrated Galentine's Day with my gal pals! Great food, good service and a great value
Amazing. Will definitely go back! Pizza was tasty!
The food and service were very good, but the meal was not hot. Otherwise we were quite satisfied. Their coconut macaroons are so-so.
Meal and service were great. Only drawback was, I made a reservation and told them it was my daughters birthday and this was not recognized.
Table of 8, served promptly, server was friendly, food was great. Everyone enjoyed their meal.
Great place, first time there. Food and service were great. Will definitely go back.
Not the ambiance we were looking for (kind of plain no real privacy between tables), but the food was excellent - very creative combination of ingredients and flavours
My wife and I both ordered the tenderloin and both of them came out cold, the tenderloin is supposed to come with potatoes, i ordered fries instead. Both my wife and I ordered our meals with no salt, mine came out...cold fried and cold steak. My wife’s came out without potatoes at all because they are cooked with sat so instead nothing came out for her until she asked for fries. The server did give us 25% off our bill so it softened the blow but it still was not what we were hoping for
Chris the waiter was over-the-top excellent!! He made us feel very welcome! He explained the dishes very well and pointed out some of the biggest favorites. The gluten-free bread was the best we've ever had. The food portions were excellent and we were too full for dessert. He surprised us with some homemade almond and cranberry chocolate when he brought us the bill. We will return the next time we are in Saskatoon
I ordered tenderloin med. rare- perfectly done & very tasty. My husband ordered striploin med. rare- came well done & not good. Server was excellent. Ambience was very basic pub. Could spice that up a bit. Probably won't go there again or recommend it.
Took my adult children out for birthday on Monday night when the $8 pizza and $5 beer is on special. Great pizza, good value. $8 for one Caesar drink made me regret ordering it, should have stuck to water. My bad. Will go again for sure.
I always have a great time here. My server was excellent as usual. I enjoy the variety on the menu. My date and I were very pleased with our experience. Thank U.
A friend and I decided to have a friend-date on Valentine's day and Aroma seemed to be one of the only places that still had reservations open. Used the OpenTable website to make the reservation and they were ready when we arrived. From there it was not too special. Food was alright, atmosphere wasn't great, and server seemed to be quite dramatic in conversation. For the price and location, there are many other great places downtown to go to that may prove to be better.
We, 3 couples, dined on New Year's Eve at Aroma Resto-Bar. Service was excellent, never feeling rushed even though we were there at prime time. We all but 2 ordered something different, and they were all delicious....I had the duck, and it was very good....dessert followed and it too was great. We chose Aroma as we were looking for somewhere to go that we wouldn't have to yell at one another to visit...we were at a corner table, and the noise level was not too bad. So many of the restaurants are big caverns with nothing to buffer the sound, this not so...being a busy night, it was still easy enough to converse. If looking for this sort of venue, Aroma fits the bill :)
The food was great. The service was wonderful. We all enjoyed the waiter. He was funny and patient with all of us. It was wonderful that we were not rushed out of the restaurant and was able to sit and visit as long as we could. We will definitely be back. It was a great Christmas party. Enjoyed by all. Thanks again.
Our meal (breakfast) was quite good. Our service was average but I had friends at another table who waited quite a time for being served, asked for someone to come by, and overheard the server snapping at the other that she was on her way or knew already or something.
This did not happen to me but it makes me nervous to recommend the restaurant. I have come to Aroma many times for lunch and supper and have not had issues previously.
Good service but that was about it. Will not go back as food was just not good. We expected more after hearing about the chef.
Food was very good. Wanted to try the peanut pretzel cheesecake but was not available. Bread pudding was great Etta was a great server
Chris was our server and was absolutely wonderful. He put up with our group of 16 and made sure our drinks were always full. A+!
Fantastic pizza! Service was a little slow for drinks.
Had the three course dinner with Caesar salad, Korean Marinated flank steak and peanut butter pretzel cheesecake. All three dishes very well done and delicious. Other diners all enjoyed their meals very much as well. Will go back again. Surprisingly quiet for a Mother's Day dinner.
we thoroughly enjoyed our evening - the food was excellent and having a quiet environment was so enjoyable for our conversation thank you and we'll be back!
Top-notch menu, delicious Valentine's Day specials, great service.
We are return-users of the private room for our semi-annual supper meetings. Our group of about 12 eat then meet in a closed room with always terrific and attentive staff (We had Graham last week) . They are always pleasant with our requests to lower music volume etc. I was thrilled to turn a couple out of town members the famous fig n pig pizza. The only thing that would make this a 100% awesome supper meeting venue is better parking at the Radisson!
It was an alright place I guess. Slow service. Really slow. It took 20 minutes to get our desserts. The food was good but pricey for the place. 2 burgers, 2 drinks and a dessert for $70
Aroma is now now bigger and better than ever. The lounge was a buzz, the food was great. Our was bring me a second drink before I even asked. Aroma is my little bit of Gas Town in Toon Town. I will be back😃
the food was great and our server paige was amazing, always with a smile on her face and always ready to help and recommend great food.
the service is always great, the people are always great and the food is always fantastic and the right price.
The service was outstanding from the time we came in to the last minute, the food from appertizers, to the main was fantastic, definatly would recommend this resturant, everyone is very friendly fom the GM to the servers.
I have an allergy to shrimp and the staff was all mindful and aware. I had put it in the notes when making the reservation and couldn't have asked for better service. The food was amazing as always your chefs never disappoint.
Great people, great service
I definitely would return just for the service and try more dishes. The appertizers and salad was amazing . Everyone loved the flat iron steak. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable."
For a restaurant that was located in a hotel, the food was very good. I wasn't expecting much because of the location, but had to try it because the reviews were so good, and the food experience was wonderful. Most of the hotels I have stayed in have mediocre on-premise restaurants with pub type food but this was so different. I may have to stay in this hotel next time, just to have the option of eating here again.
We love to try new places and this one was a hit! Six of us went and all six of us really enjoyed it! It had a great entree menu but you could also go casual with great starters! We will definitely be returning and telling everyone about our experience!
I usually love aroma, but this last time we waited almost 50 minutes for our food... which was a salad, fries, pizza, and soup. Shouldn't take 50 minutes to get that! and when we asked our waitress when the food would be out she said she would go check, but had so urgency in her step what-so-ever.. she just kind of sauntered to the back and then sauntered out.. without our food and then never told us when it would be coming. It took so long to get anything... more napkins, more sauce. more water, the cheque. I will go back to aroma but definitely not for a while!
We recently booked a table at the Aroma restaurant. Much to our surprise, we were the only ones there! We've heard lots about their chef so we thought we'd give it a try. The food was amazing - very different, creative dishes and incredible flavours. The service was great - very friendly and professional. The only criticism is the lack of others enjoying such a great restaurant. We will definitely be returning to Aroma!!
Aroma was different. This was our first visit. Our evening started off with complimentary olives and then bread with antipasto. My husband and I both enjoyed pasta that night. It was very filling but we managed to save room for dessert and coffee. We shared a piece of ginger lemon cheesecake. This was quite different. Thank goodness it was a smaller piece so we finished it. It was most enjoyable. To end off the evening, our server, Trish, dropped off 2 coconut macaroons with the bill. These were tasty. We were both full upon leaving the restaurant.
Our waiter was probably the best server (hands down) that we have ever encountered in our 30+ years of dining experience. The food we would have to rate as; average to good. We have been to Aroma before, thought it was fine, returned this last time as we heard that Dan Walker (former owner/chef at Weczeria) was now at Aroma but didn't see him in kitchen and the food was still just average to good (sorry). I would presume if "Chef Dan" was cooking it would be AMAZING!!! TRULY MISS HIS CULINARY SKILLS.
