Arnold Palmer's Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
We sat on the patio which has a fantastic, big firepit, Large Palms and plenty of heaters to keep you warm on a January night.
The French Onion soup is one of the best you could enjoy anywhere. Pablo was our server and was delightful and offered great service throughout our dinner.
Some of the food was over salted, and there were a few mix ups with ordering (we were also never informed of the specials which a few of our party inquired about afterwards). The suprising piece at the end was a very large bill to which we didnt feel was on par with the value of the restaurant. Go somewhere else in old town.
Overall disappointing. Greeter led us to the worst outdoor table in a dark corner under the portico totally remote from the good ambiance of the outdoor area. After complaint, we were given a nice table near the fire pit. The food was fair except for the sea bass which gave my daughter a night of being sick. Don't believe the menu when it says an entrée such as meatloaf or pot roast comes with mashed potatoes, there is only about a tablespoon. If you want mashed potatoes, it is an $8 side dish. The entrees are really overpriced, especially the meatloaf at $28 for an average sized serving with the aforementioned tablespoon of mashed potatoes. Can't recommend it.
Service was subpar !! The comfort food, pot roast and beef noodles or awful ..... if you're looking to get a hearty meal this is not the place .... my wife's bistro stroganoff had about 3 ounces of pasta and about 2 ounces of meat( The culinary artist in the back must not know what comfort food is ) .... stay away !!!!! The one great exception is the back patio outside area is wonderful.... we used to frequently go there 15 years ago when I lived in Palm Springs and it was exceptional .... if you have to go to Arnold Palmer's restaurant in Palm Springs stay in the pub area you'll have a better time !!! U Will not be paying $34 for beef stroganoff !!!
Absolutely love the Arnold Palmer memorabilia; but some of the decor needs updating and dusting. Server was a frazzled and in a hurry with a fairly empty restaurant. Also a canine in the main dining room (not a service dog) seemed a bit odd and unsettling given the ‘upscale’ prices. Short rib gnocchi was a pleasant and delicious surprise.
