What amazing specials!!! And the handcrafted endless Margarita choices!!! And the duo playing music were fantastic! Kudos to the Richard family and continued success in 2019!
Food was very good, waiter was very friendly and helpful and had some of the best deserts at a restaurant that I've been to. Great time.
Food was great, as always. Thomas the server was very informative with the menu and daily specials. He was also very attentive to our needs and wants. The bartender even made a drink for us that was no longer on the menu. Will definitely go back.
Great Service. Great Food.
Good food and excellent overall experience. Our seating was near a large and lively group that was having a great time as well. Looks to be a popular place with large and small gatherings. Many sports fans dining after the Texans game. Our wait staff was helpful and attentive.
No service. Arrived and seated and then no service for 10 minutes. No waiter, no drinks, no chips, no anything for over 10 minutes. We ended up leaving. Food is usually good but service is always hit or miss.
Amazing food with a family ambience and fantastic drinks!
A favorite place! It never disappoints. The food is excellent and different than Tex-Mex, the service was impeccable. Lunch and breakfast and brunch are unbeatable.
We have been fans of Pico’s for 25 years, following the move from Bellaire Blvd. to Kirby. Same fabulous margarita selection and authentic, delicious food.
Pico’s has terrific food (we had breakfast this last outing), nice atmosphere, creative cuisine, and attentive, but not overly so, service. Great place.
Parking is tight and didn't feel to welcome at the door by the hostess. The food and service was great. Fish was cooked well and the flavor was great. The Crab/Shrimp Enchiladas were tasty but lacking in crab.
Food was great, but service was better. We did have a couple of mistakes made hut they were so apologetic and righted everyone. It was outstanding service!
Christmas Eve with family. Great service, food and music. The churros were to die-for!!!
Picos is that rare bird: a restaurant that offers an extensive menu of ambitious dishes and excels at each one! In addition to a wide range of outstanding, authentic delicacies from the interior of Mexico, Picos offers a broad range of excellent Tex-Mex dishes. This is a truly wonderful Mexican restaurant.
Lupe, our waiter was awesome!!
We live and learn. Heard good things about this restaurant. Nice atmosphere but noisy. Very zealous wait staff, which made it difficult to have a nice conversation or leisurely peruse the menu; seemed to rush each stage of the meal. The kind water emphasized every "special" item that was not on the menu, which items probably outnumbered the items that are actually on the menu; on and on and on. Since this is known as an "authentic" Mexican restaurant I was considering ordering something different - not on the menus of the typical TexMex restaurant, but I was convinced to try the fajitas. I now regret that, not only because every TexMex restaurant serves fajitas, but more significantly because the fajitas were nothing to brag about, not nearly as good as the more popular Mexican food chains in the Houston area. Did I mention value? Somewhat overpriced in my opinion. To have spent around $110+ for fajitas for 2 and a couple of drinks I think we would have been better off at the local order-at-the counter chain.
Great bar service and good food. Enjoyed our first time dining experience and look forward to returning.
Greeted by several people from the time we entered to our table.
Wait staff was excellent
Wasn't up to par today, but I'm chalking it up to holiday fatigue (hopefully). We had a group of 7 for or office lunch and noticed there were a few other larger groups already there. Drinks were slow in coming, entrees took a while and came out cold and meat was overcooked. Again, hopefully just an off day for a normally good place.
We've been going to Pico's since the 1980's. It's consistently better than any other Mexican restaurant we've been to, which is saying something. We love their fish, their standard Tex Mex, their special items. Be careful of their margaritas, which are also the best in town by far.
The one thing we haven't tried is their buffet brunch, but it seems popular.
The service is generally spot on, with most of their waiters having decades of experience
I highly recommend this place.
We experienced a very special holiday season Sunday brunch. Lots of great dishes to choose from and excellent advice from a handy chef who explained all the dishes on offer. Tasty, fresh and genuine Mexican food.
I wanted huevos con nopales before flying out of town and came across this restaurant. Am so glad I went!! My breakfast was exactly what I wanted and the complimentary chips came with the BEST salsa roja and verde I’ve had in a long time; I don’t exaggerate when I write that I was tempted to drink them!
The restaurant is beautiful and the holiday decorations added a nice touch. Finally, my waiter was very attentive and amiable, especially in consideration of how small my bill for one breakfast was!
This was our first time at Pico’s and the experience was very disappointing. We planned a birthday dinner for my brother and were excited about the event. Our waiter was absolutely terrible and we had food and drinks that never even came out. We tried to be patient, but after he tried giving us tortillas that were on a tray along with dirty plates from another table being bussed, we had enough. I spoke to a manager about it and she replaced him with a new waiter (Roque) that did a great job trying to save the bad experience. The food was tasty and the drinks that we actually got were good as well. We also noticed that our original waiter’s other table was also upset and had to speak to a manager as well. In addition, I would recommend for management to approach each table that is not happy with their experience before the guests leave instead of avoiding the group altogether, it would make a world of difference.
We celebrated our daughter's college graduation at Picos. Our server was exceptional and the food was superb! We will definitely visit again.
It was Mex-Mex and just OK. Service was prompt but server's english was difficult to understand. I asked a question about an item on the menu and got a non-answer. I don't think he understood my question and I surely didn't understand his answer. They also block off all of the close parking spaces for the valet service. We were early so got a space on the back of the lot. Is it really a service when they park your car 10 feet away? Anyway too noisy, hard to communicate with wait staff and average food. This was our first visit and we won't be back.
Based on other reviews, we were hoping for great tasting food and a moderate noise level. Disappointed on both counts. Food was average tasting and it was extremely noisy. Highlight of the dinner was the very good service. We probably won't be back.
Excellent as always! And Hector is a fantastic server. We always ask to be seated in his section.
nothing to add to above questionnaire. Good experience
Jose was our waiter, and we had several modifications and he gave excellent service with a smile; he seems to truly enjoy his job and we always have a great time. Food was excellent, as always.
Food was far below what you would expect. I kidded my wife on way that we were meeting our son and his girlfriend for lunch. I kidded let’s change address to Taco Cabana down the street. Wish I would have. I had their Mexican version of Oyster Rockefeller absolutely horrible. Wife had Chile Rellanos never seen them presented the way they were chosen covered in tomato sauce. Chips were good son had Tacos Carbon they looked pretty typical his girlfriend had Salmon Casa Dias looked a bit poorly done. I would not recommend unless you go for drinks and chips
Always at Pico’s. It is always a favorite!
Very expensive and the service was terrible. It took forever for our food to arrive.
The service was great and the food was excellent! My husband and son loved the fajitas for 2! You can’t beat the value of the $20 price tag on Mondays and Tuesdays!
Pico's is one of my showcase picks for entertaining friends as well as an anytime favorite. Come in and let Arnaldo's delight you with selections from the different regions of Mexico. This is Mex-Mex to the max!
It was fabulous as always!!!
Always great food and attentive service. Love the margaritas too!
The brunch buffet was great as always. José was very attentive. Definitely recommend.
