I have to give this a poor rating, though I am not sure it's entirely fair. The owner called me on Friday but I didn't get the voicemail until I was on my way. We were able to get into another place that we like that was nearby. I am disappointed because this was more than dinner, this was to be dinner and dancing to a great band and she cancelled the band too, even though the issue was a chef who was out ill. I will revise if I get another opportunity to go and see a band. Very disappointing evening overall.
Glad they were open on the 4th after our fireworks were cancelled due to weather.
We tried this restaurant months ago and thought maybe it was just a bad night. We went this week to give it another shot and it was worse than the first time. The food is awful.
Food and service were great. Came to hear Joe ABBA’s Funk Unit and had a great time.
Great Place with live music.
The owner Connie is terrific, warm and friendly. Food is delicious.
We were recommended by a friend to make reservations a day ahead and were glad we did! We were pleasantly surprised by the menu with plenty of options to choose from. The dishes were pleasing to the eye with generous portions. My husband ordered typical bar fare served with care and I was able to have a healthy salad with grilled salmon cooked to perfection. The service was exceptional even though the place was crowded. The entertainment was lively and kept the crowd happy. We will definitely go again!
I normally don't write reviews, but this is the WORST restaurant I have been to in recent memory. Went for Mother's Day brunch and it was a DISASTER. The restaurant took almost 1 hour to deliver the appetizer and drinks? Took like 30 mins to get a drink - and the restaurant was not even full. The main course that came was not what we ordered. We left without having to pay - will NEVER go back.
The service was exceptionally slow. It took about 40 minutes for our appetizers to arrive (and it wasn’t that busy), and when they did arrive, they were sub-par. The stuffed mushrooms topped with goat cheese were literally just a mushroom cap with a slice of breakfast sausage laid on top. Instead of goat cheese there was a drizzle of salad dressing. Every baked brie that I’ve ever had is a puff pastry filled with brie. Theirs is not; it is a slightly warmed slice of cheese with some fruit to garnish. Finally the entrees came: fried chicken and pancakes with candied maple bacon. One of my pancakes was pretty close to burnt, and there was no bacon anywhere to be found on either my plate or on my wife’s (she ordered the same). At this point, when the waitress came to check how things were we complained about everything. She was nice and apologetic and had the manager come see us. They knocked an appetizer + 10% off the bill (for a total of around $20). It was clear that our experience was not an isolated one; we overheard other customers complaining as well. As I was paying the bill, I overheard a large party complaining that they had already been there an hour and no food had yet been served. Again, it really wasn’t that busy- there were definitely empty tables, and it doesn’t fit that many patrons to begin with. The root of the problems today seemed to stem from a kitchen that couldn’t get its act together. We won’t be returning to Armonk House.
We went for lunch on a Saturday with a large group. Food was excellent. It was not too busy for lunch, but the staff was very friendly and attentive.
What a great surprise! We had a great meal and found out once we got there that they had a band playing at 9:00, (entertainment every Friday & Saturday night). What a great night of delicious food, entertainment and to top is off the staff was wonderful. A shout out to our waitress Jonna!
Food was solid but service was terrible. Also live music was deafening.
Side dish forgotten
Did not have certain brands alcohol
Had a great band....was able to dance off our dinners
It was our first time at Armonk House. Our sandwiches were really good and the service was friendly and efficient. Armonk House is an upscale pub, and great for a casual meal. Parking is easy too. We will be back.
Always excellent...and a very warm, welcoming restaurant. The low key ambiance is a wonderful contrast to the other local area restaurants which are too noisy and distracting. I've been here several times and have never been disappointed in the quality of the food nor in the preparation and menu choices. Portions are large and fairly prices.
Excellent time!! Great food at a great price!! Highly recommend
We went Valentines Day and they were so sweet and brought us over chocolate and a rose. The artichoke appetizer was delicious and well as my salad and husband’s chicken. It was great not having to order from a prefix. We will definitely be back more frequently!
Warm service, good food, and great vibe! Thanks, Connie. You bring something special to the Armonk dining scene!
Good place to watch local musicians perform live - a good home for excellent jazz players especially!
Armonk Gem! Local pup with enjoyable down to earth crowd, food m, especially the Sesame Tuns and Cornish Hen to die for!
Heard they got a new chef , Amazing! The proprietor Connie is super nice and aims to please All and make part of her Armonk Family.
Place is great not to mention the nightly entertainment, not to be missed.
Want a fun place, great food, down to earth service and some great music!! Armonk House is the place!!
great band-keep the music coming! looking forward to the next live music event to go see!
This was my second time at the Armonk House about both time the service was not good. Very slow and not attentive to ones needs. The food was better this time but wouldn’t go back again. Also, the $10 cover charge was a joke when we were eating dinner and paying enough for that.
Had a wonderful meal with Girlfriends, Great Service and good wine. A bit noisy But Great time.
Third time here. After the 2nd, decided I would not return because of the terrible service and general disorganization. Food was fine, nothing special. After hearing good reviews from a local organization as well as a new chef, decided to give it a 3rd try. About 10 diners in restaurant, 1 waitress to handle all. She kept forgetting to give us food we ordered, rushing all over to attempt to service customers. Then a wine delivery came & she was at the bar unpacking & putting bottles away, while customers were looking for her. The owner left briefly and then came back to sit at a table with friends. Ridiculously disorganized, average food, horrible service. I won’t be returning.
Cosy atmosphere after a full day of lacrosse watching. Perfect place to share meal with a young sports girl. Something for every age group
Go for some bar snacks and the band. The food was way below average! If you go, stick to simple bar food.
Went for Lunch and we were only table! Our server was pleasant, food mediocre, presentation sloppy and there was a musky odor when entering restaurant with the door open. Very disappointed after reading previous reviews . Hard to imagine all the good reviews
Armonk House offers a lovely array of appetizers, salads and entrees. I love the salad with goat cheese and grilled children with a light vinegar dressing. Connie Petrovich is the owner of this eatery and is a warm and very nice host as she welcomes you into her establishment.
I've been to Armonk House once before and had a better experience that time. This time, the orders were not prepared right and one of them had to be sent back to be cooked more. I had the Armonk House burger and it was far too well done. It sounded so good on the menu, but was very very disappointing. The soda machine was on the fritz so I my ginger ale was nearly all syrup and no carbonated water.
The waiter was very nice and very friendly, but it was really not a good meal, unfortunately. I don't know if it was just an off night or something, but it was an unfortunately extremely disappointing meal.
TERRIBLE! The food was not good-the wine was a 4oz pour. Waste of a dining experience
HUGE, delicious portions. Sicilian Eggplant is superb! Exceptionally friendly staff, each and every one. Meal concluded with chef visiting table to personally ensure our meals were satisfactory. Excellent dining experience!
Place was empty. That must be an indication.
Food choices fair. Not much going on here. Plain unimaginative and not worth a second try. This is unfortunate as Armonk could use more lunch choices. Not inexpensive either.
We enjoyed our dinner and the restaurant except for the extreme loud conversations at the bar. We could not hear each other speaking. And someone kept turning up the music very very loud.
Good food, nice place, kid friendly
The food was fantastic, best I have had in a long time. We were pleasantly surprised. Our waiter was outstanding, very attentive and great with the kids, we will def be going back.
My husband and I tried Armonk House for our "date night". The minute we arrived we were treated with kindness and attentiveness. The atmosphere is quaint and charming. Plenty of parking which is always a plus. I absolutely loved the cucumber martinis!! The mac and cheese as an app was delicious. The pear salad was a large portion so my husband and I shared it-it was very good! I ordered the eggplant parm which tasted like my Italian mother in law's (this is a very high compliment). Had the chocolate cake for dessert which of course we ate every bite! (tasty!). The owner, Connie, stopped by our table to say hello. She was extremely friendly and made sure our dinner was perfect. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. We highly recommend this restaurant!!
This place was great! Food was great! Restaurant staff and owner were very friendly and hospitable!
The food was delicious and the service very friendly.
The owner came to check on us a couple of times!
I will certainly go back and recommend for anyone to go and check it out!
Had a 9 PM Sunday reservation arrived ten minutes early and were told the restaurant was closed. No meal. Very disappointing
