The views are beautiful. We had a special dinner for 6 and it was disappointing with regard to the food and the service. Prices are too high for the entrees with steaks hitting $52. Wait for food was extraordinarily long so lots of time to enjoy the view. It’s a bit pretentious but a nice place to get a drink and enjoy the views.
Great Tampa Bay view both east and west. Has been one of our favorite restaurants for years but this night shades were broken to shield the western sun, waitress never returned after cocktails and dinner was served to ask if we wanted wine or how meal was. Dessert was minuscule. We will move on to other restaurants in Tampa. We came up from Sarasota and spent night to enjoy our former great places but will not be returning to Armani's .
Excellent! I love this restaurant! Thanks for excellent service and attention !
Great view and friendly staff. The food was very good but expensive for what you got.
i would recommend it though.
Excellent food, great service. Each plate was a pleasant surprise. The staff were friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend Armani’s to others.
Fantastic experience.
Not what it used to be.
Individual staffing the antipasto bar was rude...our initial impression ten minutes into being seated. Granted, we didn't know how it worked and the four of us took extra time figuring out what we wanted among all the great selections. But this individual's tone was clearly one of frustration that we were taking more than five minutes to make our choice and "fill the plate." I noticed one other guest waiting behind us to order and offered my apology to him. I later found out the individual working the antipasto bar sarcastically apologized to that same guest for us...very rude. We were just having fun picking and didn't know there was a protocol or time limit to making choices. This individual clearly doesn't have the right temperament to work direct with customers, or could have been more helpful to speed us along.
Staff repeatedly left dirty dishes on the table for long periods, didn't clean up crumbs on the linen unless asked, and failed to ask if we wanted drink refills. We did a test, putting our empty wine glasses where the deserts would need to be placed, thinking surely the waiter will remove the empties, or ask if we want a refill. Instead he just slid the empties to the side and placed the deserts.
One member of the staff who appeared to be the manager kept walking around, looked numerous times at our table with empty dishes, and never once told anyone to take away unnecessary items, and never came over to inquire regarding our experience. I might have shared this feedback direct.
Three of the four of us who wanted drink refills gave up given the long time between table visits by the waiter and opted for desert and coffee instead.
Again, this is not what we've experienced in past years, and we can only attribute the change to one of two issues...poor management, or poor training. We'll give it one more chance in the next year, but if it doesn't improve or deteriorates further we'll just quit going.
I really appreacisted how we were treated by the whole staff. Friendly, knowledgeable and with a true passion for service.
Our server was phenomenal. Only reason I’m giving 4 stars is because of the fact they tried to to not honor my special request. I booked 3 weeks early and requested a window seat as it was my wife’s birthday. They tried to put us in possibly the worst table when there was plenty of tables open next to the window. I had to tell them that wasn’t going to work and that I was about to spend close to $400 on a dinner. I wasn’t going to get put in a crappy table.
They ended up accommodating us and from there everything was great.
Went to Armani’s to. celebrate friends birthdays. Had a great table by the window with a great view. Service was wonderful as was the food!
Our meal was absolutely fabulous and I would highly recommend!
My girlfriend got the salmon and it was a very small portion, it looked like 3oz. Also, it needs more of something, it still had a fishy taste/smell. If you cook Salmon right it shouldn’t have that at all.
It was an ok experience. Was expecting better food and service. This was our Anniversary and Felt that another Venue would have been better. It was not the Bern’s , Capital Grille, Fleming’s, Roy’s, etc caliber.
Perfect evening for my husband's birthday celebration! The kitchen was a tad slow but the entries were magnificent. Service was excellent.
We loved our waitress Stef! The food was amazing as was the view!!
to noisy for our romantic dinner but the views are wonderful. food was good but not great
Being in the Customer Service arena, I am always in search of the perfect dining experience. That is, one which adheres to high standards of cleanliness, attentiveness, and most importantly, enticing fare. Consistency in service, presentation, value and the ability to be personable, are other factors that when working together seamlessly, can yield results quite rewarding - for guests and staff alike.
My visit to Armani's was good fortune, having found a restaurant that enforced a proper dress code, maintained a welcoming ambiance (despite the din of its popularity) and served a meal delectably worthy of a discernible palate!
Armani's was as close to perfection as I have experienced in a very long time, and not only will I be recommending it to peers, but I am eagerly planning my return.
Fabulous atmosphere. Had a wonderful view of the sunset over the bay. Very pricey so expect do drop plenty. Food is really good but you can do better at other less expensive venues. Service was decent. Waiter disappeared hear and there when it was time for another glass of wine but overall he was attentive and knowledgeable about the menu selections and what to recommend. I will most likely go back again for a special occasion but not as often as I would like as it is over my budget for the most part. Oh, and if you want to see plenty of middle aged men with pretty young "escorts" they seem to flock there!
Thank you Jay for taking care of us. Great spot and bartender,
Armanis is a great restaurant if you want a higher end dining experience in a location with excellent food, service, ambiance and view. We celebrated our anniversary there (we live in Tampa and have been there many times before) and they were kind to mention it and provide us a complimentary dessert. Service was impeccable, the staff was neat and friendly and the food excellent. The anti-pasto bar is a must. The wine list is suitable for those with more modest taste all the way to those who desire only the best. The view from the porch is, especially a evening sunset, sublime.
Best view outside of shore restaurants, beautiful sunsets, make sure you ask for seating by the bay, the other side is the airport.
My birthday
I had heard how wonderful the food was here, so my expectations were high. Not so impressed. Everything else was ok. I wouldn’t go again. It is a one and done for me.
Everything is great! Especially the server stephanie. Highly recommend.
Such a wonderful restaurant. Great staff and wonderful food.
Excellent place to celebrate a birthday or anniversary, or to just have a special evening.
Everything was fantastic. The waiter was the same waiter that was there there for our honeymoon. It was great to have him as our waiter. Great guy. Love the ambiance of the place.
Gorgeous Views and great atmosphere, not so impressed with the food.
Armani’s Restaurant was an extraordinarily dining experience. The views, ambiance, staff and most especially the food!
Armani's is still...quite good. Regrettably, not as extraordinary as several years past. Our primary issue this recent visit was a dearth of server personality. A true lack of warmth.
Our food was...quite good. Not quite at the level we have come to expect from Armani's.
GOOD PLACE
WOULD RECOMMEND TO FRIEND' S AND FAMILY

View was as spectacular as the food. Great service: very friendly and attentive. I would most certainly recommend Armani’s for a special night out .
The device was very good. The food was marginal and overpriced.
Probably one of the best restaurants in Tampa bay. Amazing views, cocktails and service. Food very, very good. If I wasn't that picky, I would give 5 stars, but I almost never do.
This is a very nice restaurant. It is pretty fancy, so make sure you dress up for the occasion.
When I told the server that we were vegan, the chef came out to our table to talk to us. Then he prepared a delicious vegan meal for us that was not on the menu. They really try their best to accommodate their guests.
I would highly recommend this for a special occasion.
I almost forgot to mention that the view of the bay from up there is absolutely gorgeous. Make your reservation a little early to be able to see the sunset.
Second visit. Great sunset over the bay. Friendly attentive service. Ask for table on the bay side.
Most years, my wife and I head out of town to a romantic destination to celebrate our anniversary; however, this year we decided to stay local and enjoy a remarkable sunset and dinner at Armani's. This was our fourth visit to Armani's and our first since they (reportedly) brought on a new chef.
The atmosphere is stunning. One is afforded a spectacular view of the bay and of the sun as it sets over the Gulf. The decor manages to pull of a feeling of comfort and sophistication without pretense by incorporating some white, including white linen tablecloths, with plenty of earth tones to balance it out.
Service was impeccable; our server, John, and Oscar provided attentive, yet unobtrusive service.
The wine list is very diverse with reasonably priced standards such as a Justin Cabernet for $72 all the way to some remarkable selections like the Joseph Phelps Insignia and the indomitable Caymus. There are plenty of wines available by the glass. Most regions - Italy, France, Sonoma, Napa - even Washington State - are well represented.
We started with the octopus with spicy tomato sauce. The octopus was charred perfectly and topped with a delicious - and yes, spicy - Arrabiata sauce. We moved on to Caesar Salad, which was prepared perfectly - subtle hints of anchovy.
Next, we enjoyed the Spaghetti Carbonara. It was prepared textbook: spaghetti tossed in the best Parmigiano-Reggiano, egg, and pasta water. Topped with rendered Guanciale and a perfectly fried egg. It was SPECTACULAR! Armani's twist was the inclusion of some fresh peas: brilliant concept.
We also enjoyed the Bolognese. Again, it was balanced and delicious. The veal made it.
Next, we had the Veal Scallopini, which showcased the chef's creativity with the inclusion of house-made ricotta and a truffle cured egg yolk and tomato jam and porcini reduction.
We finished with a wonderful surprise: a complimentary slice of tiramisu e to celebrate our anniversary.
All in all: perfect!
Was very upset this past time going to Armani’s. First off, we were celebrating a birthday but did not get greeted as so or get a dessert even though we had mentioned it on the reservation. Our antipasto was good. However, the lamb tortellini I ordered was completely raw and doughy (the pasta), and the rice risotto was very salty.
Wait staff was friendly, restaurant offered a gorgeous view. Food was a bit disappointing. Expected more from reviews.
