The restaurant was closed and there was now a sushi place in it's place. Not good!!!!!

Went into Arka after spying it on Opentable. It didn't look crowded from the outside but when we entered we discovered there were no other diners. Decided to give it a try anyway and darn if it didn't turn out to have really great, authentic Indian fare. Be the time we left there were several other tables dining, so maybe we just started a little early. Definitely recommend you give Arka a try for yourself!

When we arrived at the restaurant there were nobody to receive us. The only server/busboy in view, was too busy with his cellphone to us any attention. After a few minutes we called out "hello", but nobody showed up. We could hear two people arguing in the back. So, we left, and we'll never know if the food is any good.

My husband, mom and dad-in-law, and I went to Arka restaurant for dinner on Saturday around 7:00 pm. When we got there, the place was empty! I was worried, but it turned out pretty good. Food - Excellent! We enjoyed the food, both veg and non-veg (we are Indian and German). Hubby had chicken Chettinad and it was spicy - he loved it. Presentation - Clean/modern. Ambiance - Contemporary; nice lighting with a full bar. Noise level - Bad; there was a kid's birthday party on other side of restaurant and the 4 kids that were there were screaming the whole time. Parents ignored the behavior. We had a hard time hearing each other at our own table; dad had to take out his hearing aid because it was so loud. Staff - friendly, did not bug us.
