Arielle's Country Inn
BEST RESTAURANT OF BUCKS & MONTGOMERY COUNTY for the second year in a row, 2011 and 2012 Reader’s Choice Awards, The Intelligencer.
Arielle's Country Inn, located on Allentown Road, is housed in a beautifully appointed, historic, stone building dating back to 1754. Used as a stagecoach stop in the 18th century, the restaurant still retains that warm country atmosphere. Chef/owner, Jacques Colmaire, uses locally sourced, fresh, high quality ingredients to skillfully prepare food for you to enjoy. Diners can choose from Prime steaks, fresh seafood, pasta and other specialities which are all cooked to order and served in a romantic, candlelit dining room, enhanced with a fireplace and cozy bar. Garden dining is available amid a beautiful flower garden in the summer months. We look forward to having you as our guest!
Overall, a very nice experience. High quality food but at reasonable prices. Only negative was the wine selection, an average list but all low quality selections. Wouldn't hurt to have a few good bottles available for those diners who value the wine as an accompaniment to a high quality meal.
Quaint country inn with delicious food. We are looking forward to going back!
We go here for valentines day and other special occasions. The food is always above our expectations. It's quiet and cozy inside and the owner always makes sure that you've enjoyed your meal.
Great location, interesting menu and specials. Very good food and drinks. The ambiance of the old farmhouse can't be beat!
Not expecting such a great experience as the food and service was outstanding...will be back
Arielle's is a perfect Valentine's Day restaurant. The ambiance of a 1700's Inn, stone walls and low lighting with little background noise (at least in the backroom area where we dined), make this an intimate dining experience. The servers were friendly and attentive. The food was terrific. My mushroom bisque was superb and the short ribs fork tender. My wife also enjoyed her chicken entrée which was enough to bring a portion home for another meal. Desserts of raspberry truffle ice cream and chocolate mousse were delicious. We highly recommend Arielle's for a fine dining experience.
The food was delicious as always. Looking forward to going back.
I took my wife to Areille’s for Valentines Day. We arrived early, they took her coat and sat us right away. The server was prompt and pleasant. They offered the full menu plus 2-3 specials for both appetizers and entrees. We both ordered a starter and entree. The food and timing was excellent. The house Cesar salad is superb! For dinner my wife had the crab cakes and I had the NY strip special. The steak was cooked perfect. Capped it all off with the house specialty poached pear dessert. Perfect!
Never a bad meal here....it’s our go to place for special dinners. Top notch service and attention to detail. Food is always prepared to order and alway delicious!
Absolutely, positively, PERFECT! Me and my wife’s favorite place to have a great dining experience.
As always, we had a perfectly wonderful dining experience at Arielle's for our 51st anniversary.
Always enjoy our time at Arielle’s! A very quaint restaurant, with impeccable service. The food always amazing. Filets and chicken parmigiana done to perfection. Wonderful presentation and generous portions. Will be back time and again....
Asked for back room when i made reservation and we were in main room also said it was her birthday a dessert would have been nice we have been there several times before a little dissapointed
Our recent dinner at Arielle's was our second time to dine there to celebrate birthdays. Dinner, service and ambiance were excellent just as it had been at our first dinner. It's a special country inn not to be missed.
Outstanding as always. We have never been disappointed. Good food, service, and ambiance.
The atmosphere, service and food were all excellent. The pasta stuffed with chicken & be at was superb.
A friendly and warm atmosphere that is welcoming and enjoyable. A menu that should please anyone,
and a staff that is very pleasant. This has become one of our favorite places.
This place is wonderful. Ambiance was wonderful as was the service and food. It was actually a little less expensive then I anticipated. We will return if we are looking for fine dining,
Great time as usual. There were 5 in our group celebrating a birthday. Food, service, and ambience was great. Our favorite place to dine for any occasion.
Great food, great service. Beautiful decor and pleasant ambiance.
I wish that I could write a better review but we didn't get to dine there yet. I don't know if there is a problem with Ariell's or Open Table but I had made a reservation online through open table and it was even confirmed. We traveled to the restaurant only to find that they were closing for the evening.
There is definitely miscommunication somewhere.
First time trying this restaurant. I had brought the family for a birthday celebration. Everything was great. The food tasted great. Plan on going back real soon.
This is our go-to spot for special dinners. Classic country French cooking with very fresh ingredients and delicious preparations. Servers are friendly and knowledgeable. Setting is cozy and lovely. Outdoor dining available in warm weather. Save room for dessert; the poached pear with homemade hot fudge is worth every calorie!
We love everything about this restaurant - ambiance, food, service... On this recent visit, the holiday decorations made it even more special!
Service and food are fabulous! Nice atmosphere too!
Off the beaten track yet in a very established building in the little known town of Argus
The seasonal decorations are worth the trip alone
The food is always perfect and of the best quality
We always enjoy Arielle's for the ambiance and great food. We took siblings with us who had not been there in awhile and they also really enjoyed the food.
We went there for our anniversary and the service and the food was excellent!!!
Beautiful country ambiance, delicious food, and wonderful service! Have been here twice and will return again.
Overall great. Drinks not filled quickly enough, a little noisy, the ambiance was great!! Loved the Christmas decor.
Very good food and owner was very nice and acomadatig when we asked to move our table
Beautiful inn and well decorated for Christmas. Perfect Bucks County Stone farmhouse decor. Food is decent, but could be better. Every plate comes with the same potatoes and vegetables for the day. A bit too cafeteria style for my liking. Each protein should come with its own well crafted sides rather than the one size fits all approach. Service was attentive and friendly. Price point is comparable to any other high end restaurants in Bucks County (e.g. $30-35 for filet mignon), which makes it a bit over priced in comparison to the value of other restaurants where the food is more thoughtfully prepared. That said, we will probably go back anyway for the ambience and close distance to our house.
Holiday Dinner with life long friends!❤️
This was our first visit. Heard about Arielle's from my son who patron's often. Approaching the restaurant you automatically gain a warm feeling. Inside the stone, wood, fireplaces and friendly staff are very welcoming. We met friends there. Each dish was absolutely delicious! I learned the leaf placed on you plate is from the owners orange tree. She grows lemons, limes, oranges and many items used on her dishes year round. Prices are good for the service, portion size and surely the taste! We highly recommend Arielle's! I know we will be back!
Once again, we met good friends at Arielle's. This time on a Wednesday evening the week before Xmas. The food and service terrific, as usual. The decorations and ambiance festive. One of our fav local places.
One of our favorite places to dine, either for a casual dinner or a special occasion. Good food, good value good service and great ambience.
Wonderful atmosphere in a stone farmhouse setting. The food was beyond excellent.
We love this place. Great for get togethers around the Holidays!
I wish I was raving about this place like everyone else that seems to eat here. Unfortunately I will never return to “Arielle’s”. I am a younger person and I definitely noticed the crowd at this establishment. My fiancé and I watched the serving team including who I would assume to be the owner double or even triple teaming each table. We had one waitress while she was nice doesn’t make up for the fact we were the only table receiving different service. Abby was polite and relatively prompt. My fiancé and I waited around 20 minutes for a bowl of French onion soup, while the tables around us were served almost immediately. We then waited for our entrees for another 20 minutes, the owner walked around each table asking how their meal was and ignored our table. I ordered the venison special which was cooked properly and tasted fresh. My fiancé ordered the salmon which she also enjoyed. I’m sorry but even the best food can not make up for the terrible service. I will not return to Arielle’s and I don’t really think they would care. Just because I am younger does not mean I do not tip or my money isn’t just as green as everyone else.
I have been to Arielles over the years and enjoyed it and liked that it could be a nice restaurant for a "special" dinner or a nice place to visit with people you don't have an opportunity to see often. In the past it seemed very warm and welcoming, unfortunately that was not the case last Sunday evening. Our reservation was early, 6:30 pm, and there were very few people there. We were seated along the wall (I had asked not to be seated in the middle of the room) at a table that was on such an uneven spot in the floor you felt as if you had to hold onto your glass to keep it from tipping over. There were other very nice tables by the windows, we were told that were not available.... (No one else ever arrived).
Our order was taken quickly and the lady seemed very knowledgeable about the specials. The lobster bisque arrived and at best was "warmish" in temperature.
The young girl serving removed my friend's dish as soon as she finished, but I was still eating...she returned a few moments later with our meals and since there was no room for my meal on the table she attempted to remove my soup bowl while I was holding the spoon and obviously still eating. She stood there waiting for me, I finally just told her to take it. The meals were "warm" although we were warned about the "hot plates". She returned as soon as my friend finished and cleared the drink glasses, never offering another drink or coffee, she took the bread and there I set at an empty table finishing my meal, in a room that had become very chilly because the heat (gas fireplace) had been turned off as soon as the other guest dining in that rm left. She did return to ask if I'd finished and at that point I realized I had indeed finished!
My friend decided she would like to order desert, again no coffee offered.
I realize Sunday evening they wanted to close early, but while they were pleasant, I don't think it was necessary to be treated like you might be at some chezy diner.
