Our first experience at Aria's, before Saturday's Symphony concert, was very good, and we'll surely return. Our server was superb, and their wine list is outstanding. Food was fine but for the quirkiness of the Caesar salad (Kale) and a weak dressing. My seafood dish was excellent; however, my wife's short ribs were good but average. The ricotta cake dessert was outstanding.

Expectations were exceeded. This place is quite loud with everyone talking however the food is amazing and the ambiance of the place is perfect for nights out in the city. 10/10 would reccommend.

Delighted with Aria!!! Met a high school friend there for lunch while in town for a conference. The food was wonderful, and I was completely surprised by how reasonable the prices were. The service was impeccable. It was noisy at lunchtime, since it appears to be a favorite with local office workers; I would be a "regular" too, if we lived in the area. We are having dinner there tonight, and can hardly wait! The salmon was so good, I may have it again tonight. Excellent!

The entertainment was very good but unfortunately, like most Charlotte restaurants, it's all show and no go. The service was very slow with one poor guy running around like crazy. The food was classic Charlotte - bland and overpriced. If my first thought at a restaurant is I could do 10 times better than this in 20 minutes at home, you've lost me. The uptown restaurant scene continues to disappoint.

We were late because of a traffic accident. We needed to get to a concert so we ordered drinks and food the minute we sat down. We didn't receive our meals for an hour. It was stressful.

The food server apologized and felt bad. There was probably another waiter that didn't show up. Music was outstanding!

My partner and I did the pasta dinner for two, which includes salad, three shared pastas, and a cannoli for two people. Everything was great! Our server was rather no-nonsense and occasionally a little curt, and the staff had a tendency to snatch plates off of the table without asking, but that didn't put a damper on the excellent food. We'll definitely return.

This is the perfect place to eat before an opera or other event in the Blumenthal. Don't forget the parking voucher. The mussels in white wine were perfect and the Sicilian chicken quite good. The butternut squash didn't impress me. I wish the bread loaf was sliced. Nice wine choice by server.

Our food was tasty with reasonable portions. However, it is very difficult to carry on a conversation because the restaurant is unusually noisy with conversation.

The ambiance is nice, our waiter was pleasant. Meals and drinks were slow coming out and although we gave our waiter advanced warning that we had the symphony, my fault for not making an earlier reservation

Wouldn't recommend

I have been eating at Aria at least six times a year for the last 12 years. It is convenient to the symphony theater, just a quick walk through BofA, which is the reason we choose to go. While it has never been great, it has been satisfying until this visit. I always request a specific table and there has never been a problem until this particular evening when they led us to another table. We ordered drinks before dinner and my husband had a Dewars. When the meal arrived, he ordered a glass of Chardonnay but received another Dewars. I ordered a Caesar salad with no anchovies, and when it arrived it was covered with anchovies. I ordered the special, monkfish piccata, which turned out to be a piece of rubber floating in an unknown, tasteless liquid with three capers. Perhaps there was a change in management and staff because we had five different people waiting on us and no one knew what the others had done. The coffe was good.

The bread at Aria is the best and we enjoy the beans as well. Mussels were fresh and our entrees (tagliatelli and chicken Sicilian) prepared well. We always look forward to the fresh gelato and enjoyed the cinnamon, chocolate hazelnut and coffee gelato. Our coffee was freshly brewed. Wait staff was attentive, efficient and friendly.

Everything was too expensive for what you actually got. The bread and bean starter was great, but they charged you per small soda. If you're looking for good pasta uptown just go to vapionos. Very nice place, but not worth the price.

We have been to Aria on multiple occasions and have always had great service and meal. This time was for a business dinner on a weekday. We had reservations for 6 people at 6:30pm. They did not end up actually seating our table until 7:15pm. I can understand being a little behind due to previous table not leaving on time, but 45 minutes late for a standard table of 6 people was inexcusable. I will not be utilizing them again for a business dinner when we have time constraints.

My wife and I were excited about eating here and unfortunately came out disappointed. Firstly, we got sat away from the live music and thats one of the things that drew us to the place. Our waiter, who is a nice gentlemen, was overwhelmed and took a while to tend to our request.
The food was overly seasoned with mint, which was a turn off and they could have eased on that so we could appreciate the natural flavours of the dish. And the drinks were not the best either and ended up getting drinks at our hotel

Our experience was not as enjoyable as we were expecting, starting with trying to find the valet and continuing inside where they tried to sit us in a stairwell for our table. After asking for another table, our server was rushed, never brought our drinks until we asked for them after our food had been served. Food was ok but nothing great. Server was not very attentive, we had to ask for everything and very loud interior.

The restaurant was very loud. It was hard to have a conversation with my dinner date, across the table. I ordered Gnocchi. The portion of food was incredibly small, (less than the size of my fist) and it had no taste at all! I honestly thought I'd ordered an appetizer, not an entree. We saw our waiter twice. When he took our order, and when we asked for the check....thirty minutes after we finished our food. Not impressed at all!!

We have been to Aria several times and have always had good service and great food--- it is always loud , but it's not a huge place and it is in uptown, so a lot of groups of millineals like to hang out there. The prices are reasonable and the food has never disappointed us. I always try a different dish every time we go and drink menu is creative and ever changing--- we will definitely go back again!
