Our service was really disappointing. Went on a date night here that we were both really looking forward to and left very disappointed. Spend your money elsewhere.
Aria continues to be one of our go-to spots for special occasions, or before spending an evening at the Blumenthal, etc.
The service we have received from Robin & Hope is among the best of any restaurant in Charlotte!
The food is heavenly. Not a bad bite to be had with everything we’ve ordered to date! Out latest visit was during the COVID-19 pandemic, and they were amazing with how they kept everything sanitary, distanced and controlled.
Wonderful service and reasonable price for lunch
Very good food. I was disappointed that there were no gluten free options on the menu. The chef did make a delicious trout that was notified to be gluten free. It was fantastic.
Aria never disappoints! The cocktails and entrees were fantastic, and the service was excellent. Christy was very friendly and professional.
Our second time here- both times before a show. Food is delicious... authentic Italian food. Service including hosts was great. Will be back!
Oh and we got a discount for attending a show at the Blumenthal. Who knew??!!
Good service, responsive, knowledgeable and friendly. The price was very competitive and well worth the trip Uptown. The wine was very good and reasonable. The food was well prepared and delicious. We will definitely be coming back.
Really enjoyed our dinner! Food, drinks and ambiance was really good!
The food was very nice. The over all experience was rated as a 4 star because we were so squashed in with our neighbors on either side. I was sitting on the bench and was so crowded by the people on either side that I felt awkward asking them to move over so that I could get up from the table. The atmosphere could have been a little nicer if you had not placed the tables so close together.
Very nice. Fine and friendly service.
The food was absolutely delicious, as usual. The penne alla vodka was perfect, and so was the cheesecake I got for dessert. But my server was lackadaisical. He didn’t give me a menu to start off, but luckily for me, that wasn’t a big issue because I know a lot of the general menu inside and out at this point. Also, he didn’t give me bread or cannelini beans until I’d already gotten my food. But otherwise, the experience was excellent, as I expected it to be.
I always love Aria.
The food is absolutely delicious! Great choices and reasonable prices. Get the lasagna!
My wife lost a stone from her ring at the restaurant. The staff was unbelievably helpful. It was a miracle but they found the gem. We will forever be raving fans of this restaurant and the staff. Also, the food and service were outstanding. The perfect place for dinner before going to the Belk Theatre.
We arrived a few minutes before our reservation. Aria was not full but quickly filled up. We were seated at a 2 top against the wall at the entrance although there were other more open tables available. Our service experience was underwhelming. Our server seemed dismissive when we asked about specific wine types. Our server adequately checked in on us but with a level of interaction we receive at an average restaurant. Our charcuterie was wonderful. Our meals were good.
I’ve been to Aria in the past and this visit was disappointing.
Excellent food and our server was amazing as well. We were running behind for our 6:30 reservation but called right before 6:30 to ask if we would still be accommodated. The person who answered the phone said that was fine and that Aria had a 15 minute window for reservations. We arrived at 6:43 (sprinting there to meet the 15 minute window) and there was no one at the host stand for several minutes. Finally someone arrived and she stated we were past the 15 minutes and we could not be accommodated. She was rude and very short with us. We ended up having to wait about 30 minutes for a table even though we were still there within our 15 minute window - a little discouraging that this is how this host treats customers.
We often go to Aira before a show, and it always is outstanding.
We celebrated my Birthday and it was perfect from the time we walked in the door until the time we left....We will return. We enjoyed the whole experience
Great experience, they had a special kids menu, waitress was very nice, and the pasta was delicious!
Italian with a twist
My experience is consistently excellent. Very reasonable for lunch.
The food was amazing!!!!!! We all raved about the starters, butternut squash, balsamic vinegar with honey and burrata with tomatoes and basil. Our mains were equally wonderful from the traditional pasta to the lamb shank, all were amazing.
That said the service ranged from leisurely to lost. I hope our waitress was new, lest she simply was beyond her scope. She had no knowledge of the wines, which were impressive and less about the menu. She would disappear for long periods, then reappear without remembering what she was supposed to present at the table. The noise level was ridiculously loud, so one had to yell to converse with a tablemate.
I may go back, but not with a group and just sit at the bar. It is sad with such a good kitchen, the room was disorganized and painfully loud.
Birthday celebration. Always great food and service
Great food and service from beginning to end.
Everything was cooked with the highest quality.
I was served a Makers Mark Manhattan that had an unfavorable flavoring added to it. Not wanting to make our hosts feel bad, I was able to drink most of it. I regret that I didn’t send it back and just request Makers Mark neat.
It was so good! I got the Penne a la Vodka, and my boyfriend got the Gnocchi and we both loved what we got... but by far our favorite part was the cheesecake, it was amazing! We also loved our server he was very attentive and gave us good suggestions. Overall 11/10 recommend and we will be coming back!
It was great atmosphere and service overall! Food and price is reasonable.
Excellent food and service. Plenty of options and a very good value!
It was wonderful! Everyone was so nice and the meal was delicious! My boyfriend and I loved it! Coming back soon!
We have been coming here for years. This time around despite a reservation took us 20min to get seated. The restaurant was only 60% full. Service was spotty and took forever for the waiter to see us and follow up on if we wanted another drink dessert etc. food was good but doesn’t offset the service.
The food was not as amazing as we hoped it would be. At an exceptional Italian restaurant, the pasta should be melt-in- your-mouth, and this was not. It wasn't bad, just not exceptional. The service was also extremely lacking. Hostess was unfriendly and not welcoming. Server was nice, but forgot several things. All in all, not the dining experience we were hoping for.
Quality of food is excellent. Loved the marg pizza. we always order a fresh made pasta, this time it was the cavatelli, tasted like a mini gnocchi, in their vodka sauce! Excellent. Pasta portion is not worth sharing with another person however, too little.
The food was phenomenal, but unfortunately my service was not that great. Everything was forgotten, and our waitress ignored us when we tried to get her back to the table. I really did enjoy the food, but due to the service I’m not sure if I’d go back.
The food was just okay, nothing exceptional given the price. My scallops were so gritty and one of them wasn’t edible because the grits of sand were so big. The grains that came with them weren’t hot. The space was beautiful and our server was good but food was awful.
excellent food, service and atmosphere. well done thanks
We had a fantastic experience at Aria. The waiter was kind, professional and efficient. The food was interesting and beautifully presented.
This was our first time at Aria and we will definitely be back. The food and service was amazing from start to finish. Highly recommend!
Had a great evening, the food was delicious. The mixed drinks were also fantastic. Would love to come here again for a meal. Definitely money well spent.
Overall excellent experience! The food was amazing. The service was great. Nice ambience.
