Aria is consistently a great experience.
Our table was ready right on time for our 6pm reservation. Ordered a bottle of Malbec, it was delish! Our server was very knowledgeable and had a suggestion when we asked for his opinion. We ordered the kids cheese pizza plain and it came promptly and was so yummy my kids ordered second with no leftovers!!! Our fried seafood trio was so delicious (be sure to squeeze that lemon too!) Perfectly made Caesar salad, warm bread and oil, my butternut squash ravioli was perfection and I was not left hungry nor overly stuffed. Our server was clearly busy, but never made us feel like we needed to hurry on his watch. He seemed to handle several tables with ease and experience. Definitely a re-do
Ok place but nothing to write home about. Close to the Spectrum Center.
I have been to Aria several times and I wonder if there is a new chef because the food was very salty and not as good as it normally is. Nothing we ordered was good. Even the beans that come with the bread tasted different.
The only thing that I found out was my wine came to me served in a whiskey/bourbon type glass and my friend had a martini served in a wine glass. Found this a bit odd
Food was delicious!
First time eating here. Had reservation at 5 ahead of a concert. Was seated promptly at our requested area. Upstairs seating, half booth (they do not have any full booths). Location was great. Our waiter was there promptly and got us water and bread. We ordered a bottle of wine which was served promptly. Restaurant filled quickly and was lively with a lot of concert goers. Our appetizer of meatballs were tasty and a great lead in to the entrees. My wife had the chicken parmigiana while I had the Pasta al Nero after inquiring how spicy it was. I was told not very. My wife's dinner was excellent, pleasing in presentation and very tasty. My Pasta came with a generous portion of shrimp but was more than a little spicy, requiring alot of water as well as wine to get down. This was the overall reason for the three stars. If' it is a hot spicy meal, say so. For dessert we split the the Tiramisu. It was visually one of the most attractive servings we have seen and it was light, flavor full and a delight. One of the best we have ever had. Overall it was a very good meal.
Aria staff was amazing. When I booked I noted that we had to have a table and not a booth because of guest physical limitations. I also asked if we could use the elevator to go from the Atrium entrance to the ground floor. When we arrived they had reserved the best Italian table, the one in the kitchen. It was our own private dining room. We had excellent service with attentive staff and a wonderful dinner. Thank you so much for accommodating my request with your imaginative solution and making everyone feel welcome and comfortable.
Food was absolutely delicious... Very impressed with the Chef's... Bar manager stopped at the table to assist with Italian liquor choices for dessert, that's a personal touch you don't often get. Overall a fantastic dining experience...
We enjoyed dinner at Aria before going to the Belk Theater. The restaurant was packed but service was quick, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. As this was our first visit, our server made excellent recommendations for appetizers (mussels and gnocchi) and entrees (spinach & ricotta ravioli and braised lamb shank) after asking a few questions about preferences. All the food was delicious. We also had a yummy apple tart dessert. We had interesting and flavorful drinks as well. We were seated at a banquette corner which was cozy and quiet despite the large groups of theatre goers in the restaurant. We were also pleasantly surprised by the live music which was a very nice change from a soundtrack and was at an appropriate level so we could comfortably talk. I highly recommend Aria and will return next time we’re in Charlotte.
Great food, cocktails and service.
Aria is one of our favorite restaurants in Charlotte. This was our first time back since the pandemic started. As always, it did not disappoint. Excellent food and service. We will be back soon.
The food was absolutely delicious and well presented. But it is loud, even with only half the tables seated. The server stood on the other side of the table and I could not hear a word they said. Had to have my wife order for me, and even she had a hard time hearing the server and we had a hard time hearing each other. For that reason alone, we probably won't go back unless they put some sound dampening up.
The entrees, appetizers, and drinks were as to be expected - outstanding. The service and wait staff were awesome. The only concern was the amount of noise customers tables very close and the speakers were really loud.
Overall, not great. Appetizers were the highlight though not traditional Italian preparation of gnocchi. Heavy beef flavored gravy like sauce on the veal chop and mushroom risotto. Lasagna was exactly what you would expect, neither bad nor good. Decor was very hotel room feeling.
Our meal at Aria Tuscan Grill was wonderful. The wine selection was extensive! Our entrees were amazing and we enjoyed delicious dessert and coffee at the end!
Food was great, service was great however an extremely loud group made it very hard for the whole restaurant to hear
My friend and I came here for dinner before a show at Blumenthal. The food was delicious, especially the caramelized gnocchi. The staff was incredibly sweet and they got us in and out in time for the show. Definitely will return!
Reception, servers, and food was all great!
Amazing. Live music was great. Good is just perfect, honestly. Lucky was our server and topped off his excellent service with magic tricks. Top 5 Charlotte restaurant hands down
Eddie was amazing! Helped with wine selection and good recommendations. Great experience. Loved the live music too.
As always, the food was delicious. Service was a bit rushed and impersonal this time. Still, we love Aria.
We've been to Aria several times as a special birthday treat for our daughter and her best friend. It's always been a delight and a memorable experience for the young ones.
This time just didn't hit the mark. Our server seemed unenthusiastic about any requests, the portions seemed a good bit smaller than they used to be and not in proportion to the price, the risotto has changed and not for the better, and it just felt a bit like we were all a number.
It's disappointing, as this has been such an anticipated tradition, but Aria just isn't what it used to be.
Excellent food and attention to timing with our theater plans.
I normally love aria but this time was not good
Portions were extremely small , orders were not done right
Will try again but very disappointed in this one
Celebrated my birthday before seeing Rent ( live theatre) at the Blumenthal. Lucky was our server. He took great care of us. The pasta al Nero was amazing! The steak my husband had was super tasty as were the mushrooms. The bottle of wine from Gaia was the perfect complement. All in all a fabulous meal!
Everything from the ambience to the cocktails to the service was top notch. Will definitely return. Didn’t know there was an upstairs, will probably dine upstairs next time! Felt like a secret hideaway up there!
My wife and I stopped here for dinner before a show. It was our first time here and it won’t be our last! Ridvan was our waiter and he was wonderful! The food was fantastic and the craft cocktails were delicious! Anyone who is looking for delicious Italian food doesn’t need to look anywhere else!
Excellent all around. The food, service and atmosphere made this a great experience. Even got to chat with the owner.
I would definitely recommend Aria to anyone looking for a great date night or dinner out.
Great place to go before going to Belk Theatre. The food is good but the noise level is extremely high. Could barely speak to my wife who was sitting across the table.
It's always so great. Food, service, Robin was so great. She got us to the theater on time!!
Great dinner before the show! Customer service and the cuisine were superb.
Overall a good place and food was good adequately price. Even with a reservation wait can be long and service was good.
Our favorite plates were the meatballs nd Gnocchi (they were to die for)
The veal chop was amazing and just cooked to perfection.
Great food and service in a relaxed environment
Service was outstanding. Bartender Kailey? She was one of the nest I ever seen at getting customers served promptly and efficiently. Food was great . Recommend highly
I used to come here years ago and it was a great meal for money. Since COVID it has apparently changed entirely. Would not recommend
A pleasant surprise just steps from our downtown Charlotte hotel. We enjoyed everything about Aria, from the homemade pasta and other delicious food, to the service and atmosphere. It was our fist visit and we will definitely return.
Sub par at best. Wine was literally double the price when compared to vino and local competitors. Server and ourselves had difficulty communicating. Btw, pizza tasted like something from Chucky Cheese.
Visiting from Charlotte and looking for a place for a special meal. Aria was truly a find and will go on our must visit list for next time.
