Excellent service and wonderful food. A+++++ experience
Fantastic meal! They were busy with Queen’s Feast going on, but that didn’t diminish the attentiveness or quality of food. Crazy good restaurant week deal, but normal prices look very reasonable as well!
Great choice for Queens Feast. Would definitely recommend.
Great place for celebrations (Birthdays, etc). Very nice menu to pick from. The Lamb is excellent very moist and well prepared. Nice ambiance. Noise level is low to medium so you can carry a conversation. I would definitely recommend. Great deserts Chocolate cake, cheese cake and tiramisu are all three excellent.
So much fun! We were seated at the table near the kitchen and our group loved it! Service and food was awesome!
Didn't stand out over normal Italian restaurants.
It was a great experience the service was wonderful, and the food was even better. Will definitely be back to eat here again.
Went to Aria before catching a play at the Blumenthal. We happened to be there during Queen’s Feast, which make it an every extra special treat!
The service was outstanding and the food was even more amazing. We share starters: My husband got the lamb skewers and I got the fontina al forno. Both were amazingly delicious. For dinner he got the lamb shank and I got the bolognese (I ordered out of panic because I couldn’t make up my mind, everything looked so good). The lamb was served with creamy marscapone polenta and the lamb was super tender (I was lucky to try it before my husband totally inhaled it). My bolognese was really light, served with ricotta and blend of meats that were super tasty. Dessert was also great! My husband got the chocolate torte and I was served the cheesecake. He said my cheesecake was better than his cake!
My minor disappointment was they didn’t have the wine I like (although on the drink menu). No biggie. Just adapted. Might be good to sit at the bar next time and ask the bartender what he or she recommends.
We can’t wait to go back.
The food was delicious, and our server (John) was very knowledgeable and attentive. A very pleasant dining experience!
Excellent food, very attentive waitress without being intrusive. She was able to answer all of our questions about the menu, and was also able to make an excellent recommendation from the wine list.
Loved it!!! Been here many times and NEVER have had an issue.
Thoroughly enjoyed Queen’s Feast dinner before theater. Service was excellent, food was delicious.
Service was excellent!!! The chef was very accommodating with food allergies. Our meal was wonderful!
We had a reservation for 5:45 PM so that we would be sure to get out of there by 7:30 PM for a show. Our waitress, Desiree, was incredible. Salads and drinks were delicious! But the kitchen got very backed up. At 7:15 we had still not gotten our entrées which were actually both appetizers from the menu. In the end we canceled our order so we could make it to the show on time… so we never got to have dinner… Luckily the bread and bean salad were filling! The manager was very understanding and did not charge us for our salads. He also gave us a gift card to come back and spend another time. Even though the kitchen failed us, the food we did have was amazing and the server/manager were incredibly accommodating. Despite our experience I would definitely recommend going… Just make sure you don’t have a time constriction…
We thought the food was good- Cesar was dressed a bit too much. Lasagna was warm- not hot. Rabbit was good, not great. Server was wonderful and they were attentive and got us out to go to the show on time. Mussels were good.
Fantastic, the food was perfect and surprised how affordable. The staff is attentive but not overbearing, very knowledgeable and take the time to explain. Would highly recommend for anyone in the downtown area.
This was not our first visit to Aria. I am aware of supply chain issues, but this menu was incredibly limited. No beef choices and very limited pasta choices. I ordered the spinach ricotta ravioli. It was dry , no sauce at all, as had no flavor. My spouse ordered the salmon with vegetables. The portion was more of an appetizer and not a meal. Our server was adorable, but service was very slow. We arrived on time at 6, and had to rush out at 7:30 to get to the theater on time. No time for dessert or coffee, nor to finish our drinks. Next time we ho to the theater, we will use other dining alternatives.
Nice atmosphere and excellent service. Dishes were all a bit on the dry side.
The location and convenience is the biggest reason to dine here before shows at the Blumenthal theatre. Food is good and service had been very good.
I've never had a bad experience at Aria. However, last night the food was cold. No one even asked how the food was and they were so busy that you couldn't flag anyone down.
Excellent food, superb wine.
There is a cheerleading camp going on this weekend and girls and their mothers were very loud. Not their fault but just saying. The ambiance was poor because of this. Our service person was nice and took our orders. Asked for no olives on our burrata but she brought it with olives. She finally came over and then we had to wait too long for a new one. It needed salt and she Took forever to get salt then the shaker was empty. More down time. Then my daughter asked for another drink and it came when we were just about finished eating. My spinach squash ravioli was lukewarm and hard. Needed some liquid. Taste was ok. Just poor service, though she was nice and apologized, she just didn’t take care of us. Think it was overpriced for the food and service we had. Drinks were too costly and nothing special. I wouldn’t go again.
Portions were small. Service was slow. Food came to the table room temp. The staff was friendly.
Wonderful, upscale Italian food, with a very interesting menu. Very fit for foodies. Excellent wine list.
A friend and I enjoyed a tasty dinner before the symphony Friday evening. Service was prompt, the lamb shank was a savory treat. The gnochi was not as good as expected.
We had a good experience at the restaurant. Good and delicious food and great service by the personnel.
Good was delicious, as always. We love this place and will continue to return.
Food was good. Cesar salad excellent, would be nice if fresh ground pepper was offered. Dinner and appetizers quite good. Water glasses went empty for a while, had to ask for more.
Restaurant was quite noisy. Tables were not well spaced for social distancing.
New Years Eve 8:15 seating with special request. Was immediately seated, our request to be seated in Robin's area was done as requested. She was very attentive, quickly took our orders, and checked with us several times. Food came out prepared very well, delicious Chrispy Chicken Parmesan, and Ravioli. Look forward to going back.
Love it here. Food is great and the service is outstanding.
The food was exquisite and we had an amazing waiter. They also have a great wine selection.
Nice restaurant but the food was okay. Nothing special probably won’t go again
The brazed lamb shank is FANTASTIC!
Great food - staff made excellent suggestions. Homemade pasta!
Great Apps - cheese board, meatballs, and Burrata. Dinners were very good and wait staff was very attentive! Huge wine list. Kids ate well also - Spaghetti, pizza and Lasagna.
The food was fantastic! We started with a delicious Caesar salad and squash soup. For the entrées, we had the bolognese pasta and the carbonara with chicken. The “Thyme to drink”
cocktail was very good!
We really enjoyed our dinner and the service was great!
Visiting from out of town to see our son.
I chose this restaurant because of the good reviews online. Well I was wrong.
I ordered carbonara. The pasta hardly had any sauce on it.
The server asked us “Will that be soup or salad with your entrée?”. The way he asked the question led us to believe that it came with the entrée, like with other restaurants. So I was surprised when I saw the final bill. I guess it was the server’s underhanded way of racking up the bill!
Entree portions were small. I did not expect that.
I had high hopes because this was a Christmas Eve meal with my family. Very disappointed. I am not coming back.
Christmas Eve dinner with the family. I would have given 5 stars except my sons food was given to another table so he didn’t get to eat right away with the rest of us but management took care of us. Such a gem of a place in uptown Charlotte
