Aria Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
Service was good however the food was not. The place had no ambiance at all, no energy, no vibe, was also quite empty for a Saturday night- which made the food come out promptly, unfortunately it was undercooked and over seasoned. Wouldn’t recommend and wouldn’t go back.
We went to Aria to celebrate my birthday. There were 14 of us and though the food was good, the service was not. Our server wasn’t very friendly and was not on top of what was going on. For instance, my niece’s food didn’t come out with the rest of the food and we waited for a while and only after we inquired did he go to the kitchen to find out that there had been an “incident”. We waited another 5-10 minutes for her food. He didn’t realize they were out of gnocchi until after we all ordered and then we had to change our orders. Some of us got pepper and cheese while others had to wait and when we asked, we were made to feel like we were imposing. We often had to ask for things more than once. It wasn’t busy so there was really no excuse. Generally, he just didn’t make us feel very welcome and when an 18 percent gratuity is included in the bill, it stings when the service is sub-par.
I have eaten at Aria many times before. Ideal if you’re going to the ACC right after. This time our waitress was rather rude / unfriendly. Also our pasta (that I’ve ordered in the past) was not fully cooked - too hard and the sauce was runny. Seems like the meal was rushed. After this experience I probably won’t be back as the bill was about $200 for 2 (including alcohol). Quality was most definitely not worth it for that price tag.
Went with wife prior to a concert at the Air Canada Centre. I was pleased they were able to accommodate us as we were coming into the GTA from out of town and hit some significant traffic delays which caused us to be 30 minutes late for our reservation. Even though we were late and the venue appeared full, we were seated promptly. My wife had the mushroom ravioli and I had the veal chop. We also shared a salad and the diced potato dish as a side. We may have been hungry from the trip in and skipping lunch could have skewed our perception, but we both were in agreement the dishes were of high quality. My veal chop may have been a bit over seasoned but it was cooked to perfection. Is it slightly overpriced? Perhaps. But more so for the cocktails then the food and what do expect for being located directly across from the arena?
I have eaten here many times but this time our food was over an hour to be served, one of the meals was wrong...they prepared another meal free of charge but one of my quests had to wait while the rest of us ate.
Very unlike times before, but maybe it was because we were there on a Sunday before a Leafs game.
The staff made every effort to make up for the mess up on the order which I would give them a 10 on .
Will still go back again as the food was good.
I liked the restaurant. There were not many vegetarian options. Another guest was looking for either chicken or beef but they didn't have anything on the menu. That said everyone was happy with the meal they got.
We went prior to a Leafs game so it was busy, but it was still a nice place.
Regular at this restaurant.
Was seated at table by kitchen door and bar. Very high traffic area. When I asked if we could move to another table was told they were all reserved for larger parties. A few minutes later another couple was seated by the window at a table that had been set for four!
Staff were incredibly rude.
There for dinner before a Raptors' game. Our friends were delayed but the servers ensured we all had great meals and a great experience, AND got us out in time for the game. Excellent menu, simple, enough variety to satisfy all types of eaters. Looking forward to returning.
We had a very sweet server who was helpful with the menu. In addition, other servers were also very attentive when filling up water, taking plates and etc. We had the reservation for 8:30 and left at 9:00, their service was quick but not in haste, the food was good but not plentiful. The rose cocktail was amazing! The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and elegant with dim lighting and spacious. The complimentary bread was dry, however and getting seated was a bit confusing because we were standing there a little confused waiting for the server. But the servers and everyone were very nice.
Very slow event though we booked a 5pm dinner to have plenty of time before the game. Waited 30 mins to get a server. Then another 15 to get the drinks. Furthermore they failed to bring our appetizer. Missed the first period. Their apologies simply blamed other people for their failings. Truly disappointing as we were entertaining people from out of town.
The location is incredibly convenient to the ACC. We went there for dinner before a concert. The server was pleasant but seemed busy so we waited a while for our order to be taken. The food came out pretty quickly though. We were a party of two and one of us had the gnocchi which was amazing, but I had the seafood spaghetti which had the potential to be good, however, it was served at room temperature, so all the grease settled to the bottom. I would give it a second chance just for the convenient location and ambiance.
Celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary and when we made the reservation we were asked if we were celebrating a special occasion. I typed in 25th Wedding Anniversary, thought someone at the restaurant would acknowledge it to us and they never did. Oh well 25 years married is no big deal....who knew?
That aside delicious meals, drinks and dessert would eat there again.
