The food was ok, we had a terrible waiter. Kept disappearing, we couldn't order wine, couldn't order food, I would have had a second glass of wine but he was gone again. Food came before bread for the table. I left him 13% but I really didn't want to. There are other better options around to go to for the price.
We ate before a leaf playoff game. It was busy with everyone trying to get fed and make it before puck drop. Our food was very good. It came a bit late and we missed the first five minutes.
Food is well made and portioned. Service could be more prompt however.
Love the lighting and the arancini. The chili chocolate ice cream is to die for.
Generally the overall experience was good.
We ordered Straciatella Soup, totally disappointed it was oily to the max, sent it back, then
10 minutes later we got the boullion quick style soup (not good). Otherwise everything that we ordered was good.
Servers were very nice and food was quite good.
Service is impeccable! BUT quality of food was definitely not as usual, risotto was too liquid, Osso bucco over cooked, rabbit over cooked. Only Pennette was good which is not an accomplishment for a restaurant of this stature. We’ve been so many times, very unfortunate we brought new guests that were extremely disappointed after praise from us of good food. Especially after some of us felt sick throughout the night. We will forget this restaurant for a while...
Aria is a go to restaurant. The food and service are always exceptional and timely. The wine list is superb.
I highly recommend it.
The service was very good. The restaurant was crowded and loud. The restaurant did have a nice ambiance. The food that a couple of us had was tasty but the plate of food was scarce. menu lacked a good variety. It would have been nice to see a chicken dish on the menu. I quite enjoyed the flavor of my meal and thought it was cooked very well so no doubt the chef and cooking staff are very good but for the price of the meals no should not leave feeling hungry. The pasta lacked flavor. The prices were high for what you got and the wine was not very good. Overall too expensive for what you got. But the quality of the food was excellent.
I was there a year or so ago and had enjoyed it but the menu had a better variety of choices and the prices seemed more reasonable. I guess it is just not for us anymore.
Not a great steak, I should of just stuck with Italian food. Did not feel that $75 for a rib eye steak that was served cut up in pieces and also being charged another 10 for each side order (which we were not told) was worth it.
Feel the menu is overpriced for what we got.
Service was fantastic. We felt like we were special. The food was really terrific and delivered perfectly. Definitely would return.
the food from appetizers to main course was very good. The variety of main dishes allowed people with different tastes to be satisfied with their choice. There was 4 of us and the table was cramped for space. would return
I go hear before every hockey game and I have never been dissapointed
Terrible service. Waitress did not provide consistent service to her tables. Didn't smile. We had to ask her twice to order. She was borderline rude to the four of us . Different experience than the first time we went there. I was embarrassed because I chose the restaurant based on wonderful previous dinner there. Such a beautiful restaurant ...
Ooooh how much we love Aria ! The food is always at is best , love the Chef and his creating mind , service is stellar . Best drinks in downtown ! Elena and Guido perfect hosts ! Love it !
Elena and Guido are the best hosts !!! Will be back for sure !
All good but extremely noisy due to the vast amount of windows and high ceilings.
Food was terrible. Too salty. No flavour.
I've been here for business lunches - and it was always VG. So we decided to try out Aria for a special occasion with friends. Unfortunately, dinner was disappointing with small portions, high prices, unimaginative presentation and mediocre flavours. The tables were too close together and our group felt a bit squeezed. Service was excellent.
took a friend for the first time. she loved it. she is from Rome so she was able to chat with the waitress in italian. The food was excellent. we were in and out, even after coffee and dessert made a promise to take her there again when she returns.
My wife and I had a fantastic time , the food was amazing service was great .
It is our go to place before every hockey game .
Had a team dinner while in Toronto for our company Tech Summit. Two things kept this from being a 5 star review: Very noisy and at least half of our group of 11 had to order something other than what they initially chose because the restaurant was out of many entrees. Having said that, the food we did get was excellent and the service was great!
Asked to switch tables twice
Told to sit at a table with someone I didn’t know
Brought the wrong drinks twice
Talked about a nut allergy and brought nuts twice
Brought the wrong cheese appetizer
And got one entree wrong
Worst meal and a long time, and not great to entertain clients like this.
Great place to stop before a concert at the ACC
Service was very prompt and attentive. Food was very good. Nice wine selection by the bottle. Would have liked some whites from California in the by the glass selection.
Very excellent food and service . Portion sizes are small but quality very outlays the quantity
Good food, but the beer selection was quite underwhelming.
We made a 6:30pm reservation at Aria because we wanted to do the Giro d’Italia. After making our way through downtown madness in the midst of a maple leafs game and finding a parking spot for $26, we finally arrived at Aria.
We came in and asked for the Giro d’Italia menu which wasn’t at the table. When the server came back she told us the manager said it wouldn’t be available until 7pm “because of the game”, no idea what the Giro d’Italia event had to do with the game. Although we didn’t like the news, we decided to wait until 7 for the menu... just to be told, 10min later by a different waitress that the manager said that it wasn’t going to be available until 8pm.
This was absolutely disrespectful, no communication between staff either, no heads up when the reservation was made or confirmed the day before. This restaurant was committed to the Giro d’Italia event and did not deliver.
We stood up and left, we were in other Italian restaurants as part of the Giro d’Italia and they were absolutely lovely. I’d never go to Aria again in my life nor recommend it to anybody, go instead to any of the other 14 Italian restaurants from the Giro d’Italia and you’ll be ok.
I have been to Aria on several occasions in the past and both the service and food have warranted returns and recommendations to others. But on this occasion, there was an inexcusable lapse in service, primarily out of the kitchen. One hour from order time to main is unacceptable. All was made well by an accommodating manager who apologized and offered to make our next dining experience at Aria consistent with those of the past.
Food was ok but portions small and pricey. Service super slow. Went before a Raptor's game, ordered at 6pm, got appetizer quickly likely cuz no cooking required (meat & cheese board) But mains came at 7.20pm after 3 repeat reminders to the waitress that we needed to go.
Food was great. Servers were attentive. The restrooms were outside which was weird.
Always a great meal! Alessio and his staff always deliver amazing hospitality !!
We were excited to go and try their pre-fixed menu they were doing and we were highly disappointed. Upon arrival the host was very kind and although I was early she was able to seat me and take my coat. The location is very beautiful and gives off a nice ambiance great for a date night. However, the meal itself was bad. Out of the 3 course tasting we asked for they ran out of 2 of the dishes, the seafood dish was too salty and indelible and the pasta was under cooked. We ended up finishing our bottle of wine and going somewhere else for dinner. I would not go back for dinner, for cocktails sure, but not for food.
My first dinner at Aria was ok. The wait staff was extremely nice and attentive. The food wasn’t anything memorable, but not bad in the least. I think the best this this place has going for it is the location. But it could be packed every night with either a revised menu or a different chef.
Wine list is very good but expensive. Shared porterhouse with two veggie sides was delectable! Port and cheese the proper finish. A lovely valentines dinner with my love.
usual terrific quality food and service. wine list is terrific. people are friendly. atmosphere is great if you are in main part of restaurant -- a little closed in if you are in the back by the bar -- would avoid.
Overall terrific. its my go to place down by the ACC
As always, dinner here on Tuesday night was excellent.
We were warmly welcomed by the Owner Elena and were seated at a lovely table.
We dined prior to the Raptors game so it is always challenging to get the timing right but we enjoyed a great meal and we weren't rushed.
Look forward to another amazing meal soon.
great food with great service, super friendly staffs
Great service, terrible food. Would not recommend this for winterlicious.
I don't think our server smiled once and seemed a bit annoyed when we asked for things. The one thing that stuck with me was the smell...it seemed the whole time we were there we could smell burning food and that smell stuck with me the rest of the day.
It wasn’t our first visit but we were disappointed this time .
