A good place but expensive for what you get and I came away a bit disappointed. I love my Manhattan to start the evening and the bartender was professional and pleasant. But the drink was $19.50 (that is not a typo) plus tax and tip and it was smaller than most cocktails nowadays. Most wines by the glass were in the $16-18 range, I tried 3, and never found one that went "wow". My halibut was truly excellent, the mixed olive starter just OK, the chickpea fritter disappointing.
Service was professional - a little "intense" at times. Our requested 4-top table for the 2 of us was lovely. The room is a bit odd in decor: big curtained windows on one side, a dramatic contemporary chandelier, but all the walls were painted a dark grey except for one wall which is gray but broken up by mirrors. It is an odd effect.
