Argia's Ratings and Reviews
We have been going here for years. The other night we had dinner there for my father’s birthday. They made a dish that wasn’t typically on their menu for my dad (carbonara) and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food, Service, and atmosphere. The mural of “Good Govenment” on the wall is beautiful and creates a warm setting to dine. Finally, the desert “Peanut Butter Bomba” was the best peanut butter desert I have ever had in my life. We all shared it and found it amazing. The owner gave it as a gift for my father’s birthday. This is truly a remarkable, family owned restaurant that has been and will remain a favorite of ours! I enthusiastically recommend eating here.
I love to support local businesses but this place was really too loud and we were disappointed by the service. My husband had to ask for his entree and the server added gratuity for a party of 5, which is unusual. We could barely talk due to volume (Friday night) and we felt very squished into the center of the room even though we made reservations. The food was quite good though the salad dressing was a big heavy. Overall we were expecting something better for the price. Sorry...
This was our first visit to Argia's. We were meeting friends and didn't want to go to a mall so close to the holidays, but needed gluten free options so we picked Argia's based on online reviews. We were not disappointed. Aside from the noise level (which tapered off as it got later), the service and food were excellent. The staff went over and above to make our first visit memorable, the chef was very accommodating and the owners were delightful. We will be back again!
Our daughter was given a Birthday card that she opened at dinner. In it was a springy butterfly that flew out of the card and onto the celling fan. Our server actually found a step ladder and retrieved the butterfly! Amazing. The food was also first rate.
We had a family group with six adults and a baby, and our server and the restaurant overall were very accommodating and attentive. Food was very good--one fish entree was slightly overcooked, but both the risotto and the gnocchi were quite good.
This is one of our local "go to" spots, and it did not disappoint. Kudos.
the food was good, not great. the room could definitely use some updating. but the service was so sweet and attentive!!!
it was our friends birthday and she/we were treated so well. everyone seemed happy to be there making sure our needs were attended to.
my first impression was less than positive, as our initial greeting by the host was without much enthusiasm, and after being seated, we waited for about ten minutes before our waiter approached and took our drink order. However, the service and delicious meals more than made up for the rough start. Our server was extremely charismatic, knowledgeable, and responsive. The meals were perfect; they were fresh and flavorful. We will definitely be back.
Our party of five enjoyed our meal at Argia's! The two downsides of this restaurant are the acoustics in the main dining room and the shape of the group tables. The main room was very noisy and it was difficult to hear what anyone in our group was saying, and their were only two other groups of diners in the room. The large round table also made it difficult to hear each other. The staff was very accommodating and allowed us to move to a rectangular table in the bar area so we could enjoy each other's conversation! The food was great! We all started with various salads, and all were tasty! The main courses were delicious as well! This is the only restaurant that makes Gnocchi with ricotta, the way my boyfriend's mother's family made it in Italy. Our server, Caleb (I believe that was his name), was fantastic! We will definitely dine here again!
Met some friends who were staying in a hotel in Falls Church. We're from Baltimore so I relied on reviews to find a restaurant, and we were not disappointed. Everything we had was delicious. The servers were attentive, and we were very pleased. The portions were generous but not monstrous. I wish this restaurant was near where we live!
I had a misunderstanding about use of a Groupon -- my fault, it turned out, because the Groupon did in fact state that we could not have the benefit of the daily special when using a Groupon. They were very gracious about it, which we appreciated. They also agreed to prepare a meal that was not on the menu, which was particularly tasty. They are flexible, warm, and prepare some very nice food. Try the mussels Argia. :-9 We had a very nice time and will be back.
Delicious, creative food in a nice atmosphere. Good selection of entrees, appetizers and desserts, plus large portions and handmade pasta. We ate dinner there before seeing a play at the James Lee Community Center, and I'd definitely recommend it to others.
Predinner before dance party at the State Theater; making reservations was easy and even changing the time was simple, friendly staff, gave good suggestions on menu - this was first time at Argias for most - had a good time with the delicious food
We have eaten here before and liked it a lot. This was an anniversary and we had not been in a while. New Menu, new prices, new staff. Definitely a step down on all fronts. Food quality is way down, salads, ugh! Prices are up. We are done with this place.
