This was one of the best surprises in a while. The dinner was excellent, from the Gorgonzola salad to my shrimp scampi. Everyone of the five of us enjoyed what he or she ordered. We are definitely coming back—and soon!
The pasta dishes were terrific and we had outstanding service. Go to Argia’s.
A patron was walking her grandchildren up and down the stairs next to us while we were trying to have a conversation.
No air conditioning. Uncomfortable on a very hot day.
I got sick after.
We have dined at Argia's on several occasions and it seems to get better and better. Home made pasta's were great and the tomato sauce on the Frutti de mari was the best I have had in a long time.
Our server was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious! There was plenty to eat. We sat on the outdoor patio in back. It was nice but the musician playing on the outdoor patio at clare & Dons Beach Shack next door was distracting and made it hard to hear our own conversation. I will eat inside next time.
Celebrated friend's birthday. Service was very friendly. She had salmon and enjoyed. Kitchen didn't follow request on sauce. I had the chicken parmesan which was quite filing. Nice evening.
We haven’t been in awhile and we’re pleasantly surprised with the quality and freshness of the food. It was always good but our meal was excellent. Especially the shrimp scampi with summer zucchini and tomatoes!
My family comes to Argia’s about once a week and I can’t say enough good things! It’s absolutely hands down our favorite local spot! The owners ( and their son and daughter who work there as well) are kind, gracious, and attentive as are all the staff. The food is fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. We take our out of town guests there when they visit and they love it as much as we do!!
Food was good. Waitress polite, but it is impossible to hear yourself think in the dining room. Painfully loud, noisy, acoustics terrible. Seriously terrible.
Staff needs more training
Not very engaged
Basic serving training needed
Restaurant loud, hard to hear conversation
Argias has wonderful mussels (although this time they were a bit gritty). Service was slow and the entrees were somewhat disappointing. We hadn't been there for a while - it seems to change hands sometimes. I'm sure we'll try it again some time -- especially with folks who like mussels.
We had not been to Argia’s in a few years. Servers were attentive. Fresh bread plentiful. Cocktails quite good. Food remains as salty as I remembered. The cauliflower appetizer was so salty it bordered on inedible as were the deviled eggs. Pasta entrees were also cringingly over salted. Pizza was fine. Expensive for the quality of the food we ordered.
First time. Shrimp scampi was wonderful. Pasta fresh made and chewy. My friend had a veggie pasta dish. She loved it. Fresh fruit dessert was divine. This place is a winner!
Nice little patio out back! Can hear the live music from the bar next door. Only downside is the trash dump on a hot day - smell can waft... But the food was great, service excellent. Really nice staff!
We have eaten here before so suggested that friends meet us. Food is delicious and there are good wine options but the AC was not working effectively so the room was hot even with fans on. It is a statement to the food and service that we stayed and the restaurant was packed even though it was stuffy.
The chef special pasta was delicious as were the Italian deviled eggs and the seafood with tomato sauce.
Definitely worth a visit.
Argia's is a great neighborhood gem in Falls Church City. The food is outstanding. The mussels served as an appetizer are to die for.
We enjoyed dinner before a show nearby at the State Theater. Tasty prompt and friendly. Good value too!
Very good as always! Great food and great service.
Revisited for a Friday night get together and celebration after a few years away when the food and experience had gone downhill. Glad we did -- a good neighborhood find. Service was attentive and not aggressive; food was comfortable. Margarita pizza was great. We will come back happily after our time away!
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. There in advance of my daughter's high school graduation in D.C. Great service. Outstanding food. Loved it! Thank you!
Argia's is always very good food, prepared very well. Service is prompt and very friendly. We go there all the time because the food is good and it is a comfortable place to have a family dinner or a date night out
Thursday night pizza deal was perfect for a girls night out. Great service, delicious food, generous cocktails.
Very good food. Menu has a good variety of Italian classics with variety for carnivores and vegetarians and a range of prices to fit most budgets
Knowledgeable bartenders and nice wine variety
On our last visit there were several large party groups who managed to raise the sound levels considerably, but the atmosphere is normally pleasant. Good neighborhood restaurant
Outdoor seating available with a parking lot view
Tasty food as always, and located in a great local location!
We dined at Argias on Mother’s Day for their special brunch, and while the food was good they seemed to be having problems keeping up with the crowd on this particular day. The service was very attentive but the food was not hot and there was not a great variety for a brunch. I think a quiet dinner would be a better occasion.
Food was delicious but in the Sunday brunch there is nothing Italian except for macaroni pasta dish. Service is great. I would go again and I am glad I discovered it. One down side- the table needed some cleaning and the extensions on it were not stable so we had to fix them. And they should charge 2 year old $15 for the brunch - this is outrageous.
Recommended to me by the birthday girl herself, we enjoyed a house red which was my favorite, a Chianti. Our server attended to my needs of being vegan, and my friend was delighted with how delicious her carnivore options were. The seating outside is phenomenal, with a nice view of the sun. I recommend this hidden gem in the city of Falls Church.
Great service. Excellent dinner. Well presented and prepared
Great food and service
The trial mushroom risotto is excellent. Good wines at very good prices.
We have been to Argia's several times, and it has never disappointed. The atmosphere is great. Each member of our party of four ordered something different, and we were all very pleased with our choices. The service was excellent, and the choices are always very good. We will definitely come back again.
We have visited Argia's before and had a wonderful time. This visit, however, was extremely noisy because of a large group (20) that were seated after us who were very loud and mingled around our table talking to one another. We were just too closely seated next to them and they kept bumping into our chairs and it was extremely difficult to have a pleasant visit with our out of town friends with the noise level of the group. It was too late to ask to be moved because the rest of the restaurant was full. Extremely disappointing for our visit, but the service and the food was outstanding as always.
The food here was delicious, from the mushroom risotto, to pasta pomodoro, to chicken salad, to sides of cauliflower and asparagus. I am accustomed to northeastern cities with lots of authentic and wonderful Italian eateries and have not found comparable food on the DC area until dining at Argia’s. We ate on the outdoor patio on a lovely spring evening. Some noise, including music from live band at neighboring restaurant, but nothing that disturbed us. Great service. Recommend!
Love the steak salad
We were there for Dining Out for Life. They had a good turnout. Yay!!! There were 3 of us. When we entered the main dining room they had live music, which we felt was very loud and not conducive to conversation. Not really what i'd expect at an Italian restaurant either, but ok. So we asked to be seated outside since it was, fortunately, fairly warm out. The restaurant next door was also having live music which we could hear but it was not as loud as indoors.
One of us ordered pizza and it turned out that it was $10 pizza night on Thursday so she was even happier with her selection when she saw the bill. One of us ordered seafood-mussels were delish. Not too many scallops or shrimp and tons of calamari. Sauce was spicy. but good. The last person in our party ordered gnocchi bolognese, which she'd ordered on previous occasions because it's so good.
Both entrées were excellent: salmon & veal. Ditto the beet salad with arugula, grapefruit & ricotta. Ditto the tiramisu. Don't know if the other person's affogato had hot espresso, as it had a lot of whipped cream topping. They are perennial participants in Food & Friends--bravo!
We always enjoy eating here, great pasta, beet salad and pizza.
Generally we love Argia's. We mainly go for lunch and it is low key and easy to have a conversation with friends. Unfortunately, Saturday night is not the night to get good conversation. Noise level was off the charts. It was so loud that we could not hear the person next to us much less the one across the table. Add to that a diner with mobility issues with tables too close together and it was uncomfortable for all of us. The neighboring table's occupants kept hitting us, our table and chairs when they moved making it difficult for us to eat comfortably. I had made a note in the reservation about the mobility issues so the restaurant was not unaware of it. On the up side the food was great and the house wine was good plus we all enjoyed our meal but agreed we would avoid Argia's for dinner for us but keep it a lunch place when mobility and crowding is not an issue.
Delicious food. The mushroom risotto is wonderful as are the desserts. Will definitely be going back.
The noise level was too high for us to relax. Food and service were good.
