Been several times. Love the outdoor seating on summer evenings. The service is very good. Our waiter was attentive and prompt. Ordered the seafood special. Was excellent. And the risotto also excellent.
The entree prices were on the high side. $37 for a fish entree is excessive. While delicious, just too expensive.
Over $200 for three with bottle of Proseco.
Food is very good but the service is terrible. Had to find other wait staff to find our waiter.
Welcome home dinner
Good outdoor seating. Service is usually pretty good and the food is excellent.
We have been there many times. This was for my wife's b'day. Food was very good as usual. Ambiance is what you go for, sitting outside by the river. Where they fail is service. Lot's of staff who are totally disorganized and not attentive. You never know who's your waiter or bus staff. Prices are on the high end and are definitely competing with NYC. A better bet are Tarantino or Via Sorza both in Westport
Food was delicious, service was good and table on the patio near the water was nice ambiance
The best outdoor patio on the river with great Italian cuisine. Super nice staff to help with accommodating any dietary needs. Incredible views, music off in distance! Special night!
Fabulous food with a special friend.... on the banks of the Saugatuck River ~~~~~ever so romantico!!! 🚣🍽🍷💋
No refills on the Iced tea is a turnoff for me!
Embarrassing experience for the staff.
Management totally clueless
beautiful setting, delicious food, great wine, wonderful service....!!
Excellent meal in beautiful/peaceful riverside setting on the terrace. Food theequal of the setting- excellent.
On a weeknight we enjoyed a quiet atmosphere, attentive service and excellent food. It was perfect for a friends' get-together. We were not hurried and were able to carry on a quiet conversation. While it was too hot to sit outside, the river view was great.
They are pretty opaque about their outdoor seating. Inspite of requesting much in advance, no luck.
The location and outdoor patio are what brought us here. I love to eat outside on a nice summer day. The food was mediocre with the exception of the pizza, which was the highlight. The seafood salad was tasteless. One of our pasta dishes was over cooked (mushy). The Sauces on the pasta dishes were just okay. This was our second visit this month. Even with the patio I am not sure I will go back.
Food was fresh and good Italian - with fish and veal/meat options.
Wine selection and various price points also good.
Nice to sit outside and look over river.
BUT - what is with wait service these days?! We sat for at least 15 minutes before anyone asked us about a drink order...and then much more time before app/dinner order was placed. After food was finally delivered to our table - our waiter disappeared - and we had to find/request someone to get dessert - and then our check. People if you are going to be in the service industry - try delivering SOME service. There are many dining options in Fairfield county - service makes a difference!
Not good tonight. Food was not tasty. Service was very slow. But outdoor on river makes it still a place to come to.
Consistently good food and service. It's one of the few places where you can make a reservation for outdoor patio and it's open on Mondays!
Northern Italian food which I love ( not drowning in tomato sauce)
Not in expensive though - 2 Appetizers, less expensive bottle of rose wine, 5 entrees, 1 dessert, 4 cappuccinos was $50 per person plus tip. Delicious food, good service and great location on the river
Food was lovely and service very nice, however, pricey local venue
Very attentive, professional and friendly staff plus great food is a pretty good recipe for success. Add a nice view of the river and this place is a hidden jem.
We were treated badly. Lied to about seating each time we asked. Service was awful.. we waited for 45 minutes without anybody coming by to even take a drink order. We asked and were ignored. Finally after waiting so long we were able to pull a waiter aside. It then took about another 45 minutes for our dinner to arrive.
I can tolerate slow service. But, what I find intolerable was being treated with disrespect and being lied to by the hostess and other staff there. I know they were lying because their statements were obviously false. The food is not that good that this place can afford such an attitude.
Our dinner took 3 hours and not because we were savoring each course and refiling our wine glasses. The restaurant was very busy and we would not have had any problem waiting for our food had the service been good. We were often left with no silverware, no bread, no water -the wrong appetizers and meals were brought to our table numerous times and after 90 mins they informed me they could not make my meal and asked 'what else I would want' without bringing me a menu or an apology. The bill was loaded with 7 or 8 additional entrees that were not ours and needed to be corrected 4 different times. The food was fine but for the wait, and hasell and it was not worth the overpriced menu.
The staff would often run by our table avoiding eye contact and dropped food off and never followed up.
A table visit from the manager acknowledging the situation would have gone a long way but instead we left frustrated and I guarantee I will not be returning.
Our favorite go to neighborhood restaurant for ANY night. But we especially enjoy special occasions birthdays and anniversaries spent here as they never rush you and every dish has been delicious. Westport GEM on water. Friendly staff. Parking never a problem and they also have Valet. Bon Appetite!
It took at least 20min for anyone to greet us at the hostess desk. The hostess was working by herself on a busy night and no one would help her. Even a waiter came to the desk for menus and when asked if he could help us, he said the hostess will be over soon. 10minutes later....we were finally greeted and sat at a table (that wasn't set yet and had dirty glasses), and never given menus, and never greeted by a waiter. We waited 15min before we got up and left without even being served water. I have no opinion on food or service once received but I definately would not recommend this restaurant.
The food was bland. We had the scallops with corn and asparagus. The corn had the rubbery frozen corn taste. We requested no balsamic, but it came out with balsamic anyway. We also had the fig prosciutto pizza. We asked for no balsamic but it came out with balsamic anyway. It was very average. The staff was nice, and the restaurant it very nice, but I didn't think it was worth the price.
I took my husband here to celebrate his birthday on a Friday night. We liked how there was both inside and outdoor seating options and the restaurant had big windows, giving it a lot of light. However, the decor was somewhat dated and run-down, taking away from the ambiance. Also, I thought it was weird how the bar was completely separate from the restaurant.
The food quality was good. I ordered the halibut special which was prepared well, but didn't feel it was worth the $38 price tag. Also, I was disappointed at the limited wine list. Overall, our experience was a positive one and we would go back.
Over priced...mediocre food
Perfect for dining on the river. Food was very good as was service.
Worst service I’ve ever experienced. Had to go behind the bar to make my own drinks. Took 2 hours to get served
Lucked out and got a table for 7 by the water. The food was delicious.
Fabulous food, friendly staff and lovely ambience make for a great dining experience.
Outstanding restaurant and staff. Cuisine is always amazing! We are regulars
from New York and would whole-heartedly recommend you try Arezzo.
Can't wait to return!
Food was fabulous along with the view and ambiance
Went for my sons college graduation for a nice lunch to celebrate
We were seated inside
Every table has a great view but with the terrarium style room it was very warm with the sun shining down
Would not have minded the slow service but It became uncomfortable
Great location good food but service at dinner was not good. Very slow and hard to get servers attention.
We were early for our reservation time and were seated quickly. We asked to be between two heaters since there was a chill in the air. No problem at all. Then the wheels fell off. The waiter tried to up sell us on a bottle of wine, we waited almost 20 minutest to place our order, then the main course showed up 30 minutes after that. All told we waited over an hour for our food, and when it did arrive two in our party received the wrong meal! We were told they could fix, but it would take another 20 minutes. The manager, who was mingling amongsthe tables on the patio, never checked on us. We tried to get her attention, but she did not realize anything was wrong until we just requested the check to pay for the two meals we had. She was kind enough to comp the bottle of wine we had purchased. We were informed they were short staffed, but it's really no excuse. Poor service for the price you are paying.
Disappointing from the start. We reserved for an early dinner. When we arrived there were only 3 tables with guests and there seemed to be 18-12 servers working. Good sign, right? However when we arrived at out outdoor table it was dirty. Then the gas heat lamps did not work. Next, it took 15 minutes before our server came to greet us & offer us water. Another 10-15 minutes to receive our ginger-ales. We were frustrated but try to keep an open mind. Sadly, it only got worse. The service was SUPER SLOW. There was hair in our food... ugh! We did stay for coffee but that took over 15 minutes as well for two cappuccinos. We will not return nor we would recommend this restaurant.
Slow service, food was not tasty, first wine a poor substitute for what we ordered and we returned it, second bottle had no body, and we gave up and ordered a third which was not delicious. No return visit expected. Oh, and the spaghetti and meatballs tasted like flour. All that for $200.
My favorite go to restaurant for all special occasions and any other day of the week. It's fabulous.
Had dinner here with a very good friend. Everyone was wonderful from the moment I walked in the front door to the moment I left this lovely restaurant. Staff could not be more accommodating. We had a delightful dinner and wonderful conversation. A new favorite has been discovered! Arezzo is a wonderful discovery!
Slow slow slow service! There was 1 other table if 3 in the restaurant at the same time . It took the waiter forever and a day to take our order and get out food out to us. The food is OK with the services is always so slow it's painful. I wonder if because they're never busy that they just try to keep people in the restaurant to keep it like looking full. The ambience is nice and the waitstaff is nice but they are just so slow with the service.
