Arezzo Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
I took my wife to Arezzo for Valentine's Day. The food was very good. The menu was limited and expensive due to the usual holiday increase. I would like to go back again for more selection and more reasonable prices. I very much enjoyed the beef short rib served over a mushroom risotto.
We have eaten here a lot and always enjoyed it but this last time we went was a service nightmare for us. A We waited 30 mins for drinks. Appetizers showed up 1 minute after drinks and dinner showed up 50 minutes after that. We had a movie to get to so everyone had to shove food in our mouths and pack up the bulk of our meals. Despite being told twice that we had a movie the meal arrived late and then we had to hunt down our server to clear the table and make the to go packages. I hope it was an anomaly and not what we can expect from them going forward. Next time we have some place to be after dinner, we will eat somewhere else.
The appetizers seemed like frozen fare that we could have made at home (calamari, meatballs), burrata was blah. Salads were good! Main courses weren't very flavorful and steaks were all VERY overdone. I ended up leaving behind half of a filet...which is the only type of steak I ever eat at medium-medium well. It was a hockey puck. Sides were okay. Service felt very rushed initially, taking away food before everyone was done, then we sat for extended periods of time with empty wine glasses. It was my first, and probably my last time there. It's unfortunate because the view is probably great during the day.
As described by my waiter the veal chop parm I was served was “raw”, and he apologized perfusely. Watching my wife eat her New Years Eve entree alone while I waited for my entree to be cooked again was disappointing. While that can happen to anyone and they were nice enough to treat us to a glass of wine, there was also an issue with our after dinner drink. It was clearly watered down. I checked directly with the bartender who poured another glass from the same bottle and again, it was at least half water. I regularly keep the drink in my personal bar, so this was no mistake. I ordered something else in replacement and was again disappointed to be charged for it. I’ve eaten there several times for business and left feeling like they could have more, especially considering the occasion. To be served raw Veal and a mysterious watered down drink is unacceptable for the class of restaurant Arezzo strives to be.
Overall a fine meal. Varied menu offered good options...pleasant environment and setting in heart of Westport
Service was spotty...salad was not correct and waiter ( not the one who took the order but who was delivering) tried to convince us to take the wrong salad?? Very confusing...
Behind the scenes staff were not well connected to our main waiter and that was clear again during coffee service. Didn’t bring correct order ( decaf vs regular)
Still, food was good and overall meal enjoyable.
One of only a handful of restaurants within driving distance that was open on Christmas Day. We were very thankful for the staff that took time away from their families to serve us.
The wait staff was very attentive. The menu is full of authentic Italian dishes and each of the 4 we ordered was very good. There was a small hiccup with one of the dishes but it was remedied quickly.
We sat down and fist water was dripping on my head. They moved us to another table. We sat for 1/2 hour before anyone came over to our table. We ordered drinks. One martini was not the right one. I had to take it to the bar myself and have the bar tender make the right one for. The service was awful. I will not ever go back
We went to Arezzo for dinner pre-theatre. They were extremely observant of the time so we weren't rushed and had plenty of time to make it to the show on time. We sat outside on the patio by the water, which was incredible for early October. The food and service were great. I would highly recommend Arezzo to others.
They were nice to try to give us the table we wanted. But then we sat there, with no wine list and no service. We waited a long time before our server came over. We had to ask for a wine list. We were sharing some items and they brought our appetizer, bread and entre all at the same time. Pizza was excellent. The shaved artichoke salad used canned artichokes so that was a cheat and uninteresting. Still, I do like this place. Possibly they were short staffed. There was a huge party on the patio....
Took my elderly mother to Arezzo for a birthday brunch on Sunday and we were not disappointed. Although we sat inside, the large windows were open so we felt like we were outside and had a great view of the river. The wait staff were wonderful and made my mother feel special. The food was better than I expected (although I like it there this was really memorable food) and the restaurant surprised us by bringing a cake with candle and singing to my mother based on my reservation as I didn't ask them to do this! All in all a delightful and special lunch, although a bit pricey due to the specials that we ordered.
well, it took them 1/2 hour(28 minutes) to figure out after they seated us outside that we didn't have a waiter. but that was only after we finally flagged down a waiter and he said "your waiter is working inside and is just really busy and probably won't get to you". So we said, can someone else wait on us or do we need to go somewhere else????? After that they were very attentive but the food was just not great - it was fine - just nothing spectacular. We had been here before with no problems. It was a Saturday night and it was half empty so it makes you wonder if its going downhill.
We were seated promptly at a table outside, as requested, located not far from the scenic river. We had several people attempt to tend to our table (only 3 of us), so it was unclear who our server was. Our first order (a plain pizza for an 8 year old) came out wrong, even though we specifically asked if a plain cheese pizza was feasible. Therefore, we ended up having to purchase an additional meal. The other food ordered was good, although I though the special salad was over priced ($18), especially since it lacked protein. Sans the confusion regarding service, and the meal mix-up, it was overall okay.
Very disappointing. I've been here 3-4 times over the past couple of years. It's a beautiful setting on the water. The food has been good to average and this night it was OK but way overpriced.
When we were told the specials by our waiter, he didn't tell us the prices so I asked. We then ordered two of the specials (even though I thought they were pricey_ and when the bill came they overcharged us by 20% of the already overpriced specials which we subsequently had reversed by the manager.
I would not go back. There have been a bunch of restaurants in this location. The location deserves better fare.
I've been to Arezzo several times now and hey NEVER disappoint! The food was amazing! There were seven in my party and we all enjoyed the watermelon salad. The red snapper and the filet mignon and mushroom risotto! It was a beautiful night and the view of the water was terrific!
Been several times. Love the outdoor seating on summer evenings. The service is very good. Our waiter was attentive and prompt. Ordered the seafood special. Was excellent. And the risotto also excellent.
The entree prices were on the high side. $37 for a fish entree is excessive. While delicious, just too expensive.
Over $200 for three with bottle of Proseco.
