I’m happy for the folks at Arethusa al Tavolo, who were awarded Restaurant of the Year by the CT Restaurant Association. But selfishly, it makes me sad that it’ll make it harder to get reservations! I often make random reservations, just to have them, then plan our schedules so we can go.
Last night my favorite was the halibut preparation, it was so delicate and delicious. Our friends ordered the scallops and trio of pork- which they decided was porkalicious! The amuse buche has lately been these tiny little “ice cream cones” filled with Arethusa blue mousse with teeny slices of fruit on top. I’m not s fan of blue cheese and still loved it.
Everything at Arethusa is artfully prepared and beautifully presented.

Another fantastic meal at Arethusa. The service was impeccable and the food fantastic. The beet soup, lobster and avacodo salad were great and the prime burger and buttermilk onion rings made this a top 10 lunch. Great place!

Arethusa al Tavolo is by far the best restaurant in Connecticut. The service, the food, the quality of the ingredients as well as the presentation and taste make it a gem in a world of mediocrity. The room is beautiful and the menu ever changing. This was our second visit and it was even better than the first.
The lobster/avocado, chicken liver dumpling, and trout were amazing the table shared the spareribs. The pork three ways, scallops and short ribs were all amazing. The " rice pudding " was only ok too much going on when traditional rice pudding was what was called for after the outstanding meal. The craft drinks and bartender/sommelier are amazing he made our night by choosing the perfect bottle of wine with us and the waitress could not have been more professional. It is so hard to get a reservation but well worth the wait!! We cant wait to return.

The food was very well prepared. This may reflect a personal preference but in my opinion the main courses (duck and salmon) were overly complicated with flavors and elements. Especially with a farm to table concept, less truly is more. The addition of complicating and often conflicting fruits, vegetables and sauces detracts from the “stars” of the dish. KISS. Impress with elemental flavors and textures not with multiplicity.

Another superb meal at Arethusa al tavolo. The duck was the best ever and our friend praised the halibut. The noise level was less than usual, possibly because it was early Sunday evening. Service and wine selection was excellent. New York prices, but best quality too. Definitely for special occasions.

Celebrated our anniversary. Food and service were exceptional. My only complaint is that it was a little dark for my aging eyes and had trouble reading the menu!

Love this restaurant. I have been there recently for both lunch and dinner. Always fantastic. Took my son from NYC on Saturday for Lunch...he was super impressed. Wonderful food and service...well worth the 50 minute drive.

We had dinner here for our anniversary recently and we're just very impressed with the restaurant on a whole. Food was great, service fantastic, beautiful space. We will definitely be back and in time to buy some goodies from the shop next door!

Out experience was amazing. We loved the cocktails and food, the best part was the bartender came out and described the teas to us. We love tea and we had an amazing time conversing about what teas they had. The manager came around a few times and chatted with us about the food. We will definitely come back!

We really enjoyed our Sunday lunch. The buttermilk chicken sammie was outstanding and other members of our party enjoyed the pancakes, eggs benedict, butternut squash ravioli and short rib flatbread.
