OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!!!!! This was our 1st time at Arethusa and I think we have just made this is our favorite place in Connecticut. First of all the place is very nice inside, the staff is friendly and super clean everywhere. The service from Jenya was wonderful, I think she was at our table every 10 mins to fill our glasses. The food was really over the top. For apps (brought over by a chef) we had the oysters on the half shell and the salmon crepes, I don't know which one we liked better, they were both so good. For entrees my husband had the fluke and I had the cod, 5 star all the way. I must say they really go out of their way to make sure every dish is super fresh and special. We did not have room for dessert so we had a few after dinner drinks. Espresso martini and a Pumpkin latte and believe me they were perfect and it was nice to have the bartender come visit our table. And I can't forget the young man how brought us all the goodies in between, the bread with house made butter, the dollop of house made blue cheese, and the cookies and dairy fresh milk. He was the most pleasant man just wish I can remember his name. We had the best experience and a wonderful night, thanks to everyone we will be back.

We drive two hours to dine there for lunch. In my opinion the best restaurant in the tri-state area. Never disappoints and always exceeds expectations.
hands-down still the best restaurant in the area, New York included. Perfect service, and excellent touches throughout dinner, from the amuse bouche to freshly baked pretzel bread to shooters of milk and chocolate for dessert, also can't go wrong on any of the appetizers or entrees, especially the steak for a main course. Make sure to have the Arethusa ice creams, either next door or in the restaurant, creamiest around. Make your reservation way ahead.

I am always treated with respect when I dine at Al Tavolo and have a wonderful experience here. The food is delicious, the manager is friendly and every time I have been here has been perfect!

I’ve been to Arethusa three times and they never disappoint. A little pricey, but worth it.
Dinner and appetizers were good. The potatoes and dessert was very dry. Service was good but we were not asked if we wanted more drinks. We were only given one piece of bread while other tables got extra. The tables were a little to close together and it was to dark.

Had Sunday lunch here on a rainy day. First time at this restaurant. Great food, efficient and courteous service, nice inviting atmosphere. We’ve had ice cream at their shop next door multiple times in the past. After lunch , we went across the street to their bakery to take some treats home with us. Highly recommend all three places. Quality products. We’ll definitely be back for dinner at the restaurant. Five Stars.

Excellent on all accounts! This was our first time to Arethusa al Tavolo and it didn't disappoint. We recently moved from Toronto and lived in NYC prior to that - the food rivaled some of the best spots in either city. Look forward to getting back there soon.
My husband surprised me for my birthday after reading about your farm and restaurant online. It was our first visit but definitely not our last. Service was impeccable and we loved the little extras. Even the butter was amazing. Possibly the best food we’ve ever eaten. Thank you for making my birthday extra special. We will definitely recommend this to friends and will be back for our anniversary as well as our daughter’s high school graduation dinner.
Service, food and presentation were exceptional. I am lactose intolerant, and when I said very sadly that I could not eat the amuse bouche - which was a creamy blue cheese (from Arethusa) in a miniature cone - the server immediately offered an alternative. A wonderful chopped beet salad served on a porcelain spoon. The monk fish with root vegetables was prepared to perfection.
It was also a pleasure to see Robert as the Maitre D'. Looking forward to our next dinner at Al Tavolo.

From the exceptionally professional service to the five-star quality food, Arethusa is flawless in delivering a spectacular culinary experience in the Litchfield Hills. We will most definitely recommend to friends and family as well as make a return trip soon.

I have been here twice for lunch and once for dinner. The food is very well-prepared and artfully presented. The appetizers are quite nicely done but a bit small and a little more taste creativity is conceivable. Prices high but not insane for the level of cuisine. The room at night is lit too darkly for my taste, and the noise level is loud since there are no evident baffles. Service is excellent and complimentary items are an added pleasant surprise. Their dairy products such as ice cream, cheese and milk are fabulous. Arethusa does not disappoint.

Superior - A unique and creative menu, a very gifted kitchen that does an amazing job of combining a plethora of flavors that sing in your mouth! Just look around at all of the smiles, ohs and ahs, a five star dinning experience. Excellent, attentive and engaging staff and a dynamite mixologist behind the bard to top it off!!! We went to dinner at Arethusa al Tavolo the other night to celebrate our anniversary, and we had a most wonderful time. From the moment we were greeted by the friendly hostess through the last morsels of our delicious dessert, the staff was bright and warm, attentive and helpful (we had a magnificent bottle of wine that I wouldn't have known to pick). We simply couldn't have asked for a better experience. And of course, the food was top notch. The sea bass with black garlic crust, and it was the best seafood meal i've ever had. We can't recommend this amazing establishment enough!

We had a wonderful brunch with friends. I’m not a lamb fan, but our friends raved about the lamb ribs. My fav was the lobster avocado salad, mmmmm. All was made even more enjoyable with our attentive and friendly server, Jenga

No place better for brunch or dinner. Food is always consistent. The photos are of the flatbread, lamb sandwich on a home made brioche roll and a newly added chocolate, peanut, tropical fruit dessert.
Food and service was impeccable as always. Can’t order a bad thing on the menu but the kale salad and lamb ribs are amazing!
