At the recommendation of a close friend we planned our first visit for a special occasion as we had a 5 hour round trip. Our time was well spent. The service was great, the ambiance was perfect and the food was spectacular. We are looking forward to our next special occasion already!

The ambiance and food presentation was very good
Our main server seemed put out by questions presented to her. The accompanying wait staff however were exceptionally polite and engaging.

We had our Valentine's Day dinner there and it was delightful. The menu had lots of delicious options. The service was impeccable. We're already thinking about our next visit there.

The presentation of each dish was impressive! A masterpiece that had to be photographed! I had the crab app followed by the steak and finished with the chocolate and praline dessert. Every bite was amazing! We all left our plates clean. I didn’t mind that it was pricey because the attention to detail to each plate etc etc made it worst every cent! Then the complimentary blue cheese cones and the milk and cookies made us feel extra special. Bravo!

We have been at your restaurant many times and it is by far the best restaurant we have ever experienced. While we normally dine at less expensive restaurants, the value at Arethusa al Tavolo always exceeds our expectations. We savor the memory long after and look forward to our next visit. Arethusa al Tavolo is consistently a very fine restaurant in all areas and I commend your entire staff. The team work is outstanding and the staff attitudes are always pleasant and inviting. I just moved to the area and so happy to be able to have dinner at this wonderful gem ....
Menu has so many wonderful choices that it’s hard to decide luckily I know love in the area and can try them all. The food from menu to presentation was executed perfectly combined with a nice wine by the glass selection was wonderful.

We had a wonderful time celebrating my moms birthday! I want to give a huge shoutout to Susan our server for making the dining experience absolutely incredible! The various ingredients and flavors that are combined in their dishes are unlike any I’ve had before. The wine list is extensive and there is a great selection of all types.

The decor is stunning and everyone from the host, back waiters, Management and other servers were exceptional!

Thank you for an amazing night! We will be back!

It is always a pleasure dining at Arethusa. The food is some of the best I’ve ever had and the staff is always lovely, friendly and beyond accommodating. It is just such a delightful meal every single time!

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful evening celebrating our 4 year anniversary.
The was tremendous care and dedication in their food service and quality.
There is not one negative I can highlight on this place.
The best restaurant in Connecticut, hands down!

The lobster avocado salad was amazing. We both had poached fish just different fish. Delicious. The trio dessert was a perfect end to a great meal. We have been trying to get reservations since December for a time day that works for us since we were coming from Hartford for dinner. This was our choice for a special occarion dinner and it really worth it. The price was reasonable. They stagger the reservations so the meal is relaxing and service is wonderful. We will be back to try more dishes that were so tempting on the menu.

I specifically asked about onions. There were tiny minced onions garnishing my dish. I tried to remove.
I was up all night, therefore, I was saddened that I did not have a better dining experience as it was costly.
I never criticize or have bad dining experiences, because I clarify the onion issue. Apparently, they did not accommodate me.

This is the BEST restaurant in Connecticut! Well designed and seasonally varied menu that has delightful flavor combinations that are unique, innovative and delicious. Excellent service too. It is worth the trip to Bantam. Enjoy!

Arethusa is absolutely at the top of our list in CT, and nothing from our latest lunch there will change that. For a fine dining venue, it is relaxed and welcoming - from the set up to the staff to the management. And of course the food! Brunch/Lunch menu has so many options from firsts to dessert, but at the end of a cold snap we chose comfort - Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sammie and the Arethusa Burger! Phenomenal - the fried chicken was juicy and moist, bacon delicious, and the Burger was maybe the best we have had in a while with the most incredible beef, not to mention the fixings. We go here regularly, but are not "regulars," yet we are always greeted in such a welcoming manner by all, including one of the owners. Special place but not just for special occasions. Worth the drive from Hartford area.

I took my bestie here for her bday dinner—we love their ice cream spot in New Haven and we’ve wanted to check out their actual restaurant. They didn’t disappoint. All I put for my reservation was that it was my friend’s birthday—I didn’t ask for anything special from the staff but they went above and beyond. They gave my friend a card; they gave each of us sample of their world famous bleu cheese, and gave my friend a special “happy birthday” plate with a candle to accompany her ice cream. I was so impressed. The staff overall stood out. Everyone was personable and made us feel special. Our waiter was awesome an knowledgeable. He gave us some really good recommendations. The food itself was very good—truly some interesting layers/combinations of flavor to our dishes. Honestly, the award for the best butter I’ve ever had in my life goes to this place. I had a wonderulful time here. It’s a little $ but knowing all the veggies are grown in their greenhouse, the cream/butter comes from their cows, etc, makes me happy.

Everything was more than spectacular! The food is the most interesting and varied that you will find anywhere. The staff was welcoming and friendly and the owner introduced himself to us for a nice chat.

We went to Arethusa al Tavolo to try out their lunch menu and as we expected, excellent across the board. We started our meal with a hand crafted cocktail which was perfectly executed - The Bantam Pear - not too heavy on the bourbon. The food was not only beautiful to look at on the plate but the flavors exquisite. The chef clearly devotes time to each dish to ensure that it is nothing short of perfection before it is carefully placed before you. Our server was present throughout the meal while not being overbearing and all wait staff very attentive to ensure everything was to our liking. We ended our meal with desserts - their World Winning Strawberry ice cream that my husband had to control himself from eating it too fast so that he could enjoy the flavor and the "Oeufs a la Neige" a Trio of whipped ganache with Mango crème Anglaise - just spectacular. Arethusa is a restaurant not to be missed for those who consider them "foodies". We truly enjoyed this lunch as much as the dinners prior and will hold them up against Daniel, Per Se and French Laundry. Exquisite across the board - food, service and décor.

I'd like to say I'm speechless, but can't resist the chance to congratulate Arethusa al Tavolo for being one of the finest restaurants I've had the pleasure to experience. The service, the setting, the menu and it's execution are consistently extraordinary. I love the surprises and the opportunity to feel excitement with my friends when we dine here. Each time I leave, I begin to plot my next time.

The best restaurant in the area. A little long of a wait for the 8:45 reservation, that is the only complaint. Food is OUTSTANDING and service is very good.

The food was delicious and ample. Everyone remarked on how well the flavors were balanced. I can't wait to return to sample more of the creative menu! The only negative for the evening was the occasional cold air whenever the door was opened. They had curtains, not they were not using them
