Great restaurant, I mean Great, in every way possible. Totally is worth the money. I wpoldgive up three dinners at most of the restaurants I dine at to eat here 1 time out of three. Can't go wrong. ever even wrote a restaurant review before.

This place is fantastic! We had expected the food to involve fresh produce and unexpected combinations of flavors and perfect cooking and beautiful presentation, and it had all that and more. But I was even more impressed, if that is possible, by the service. I have never elsewhere mentioned that I needed to eat gluten-free and been presented with bread, delicious bread, that I could eat. Or mentioned that I had a birthday and found wishes written in chocolate on my dessert plate.

This was the best meal I have had in a long time. Friendly service, punctual seating, and a menu to die for. Creative, delicious, and splurge for a appetizer. Cheese plate with fresh cheese from their farm and same treats from the chef made us feel special. Their own ice cream for dessert was the perfect ending to a delicious meal.

My one criticism is the parking lot. You leave a beautiful atmosphere, with a delicious fancy meal and then walk through a dark back parking lot that is dirt. Would have loved more lights in the parking lot.

We went to Arethusa for our 8 year wedding anniversary. We really enjoyed our experience and appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the evening - an anniversary card from Arethusa, mini appetizer & dessert tastings compliments of the chef. Our drinks, appetizers and meals were delicious! Staff was attentive and knowledgeable. We tried fried mozzarella with lamb meatballs, octopus and chicken liver dumplings - all were amazing. We will definitely be back.

Everything was very nice, but I would suggest a different bread offering. Even though it was baked by your people across the street, it was not particularly flavorful, nor was it at least warm. Main courses were outsatnding.

This is our favorite Litchfield go to where the food and service never disappoints. From the moment you walk in, you know you are in for a treat. Every detail has been attended to. The menu rotates seasonal favorites with classic standbys, like bread made in house and vegetables from Arethusa’s own organic farm, seasonally. And the dairy products? Butter, cheese, milk, ice cream all from their award winning farm. Definitely do not miss this one!

If you expect a ‘diner’ size portion to be served, you’ll be disappointed. If you expect a ‘health” and “international” size portion, you’ll be thrilled to enjoy from the starter to the desert. Highly recommended, even if you have to drive for more than an hour!

This is, by far, the best place in the Litchfield area. The food and service are well worth the price. The menu is fun and creative with extra surprises!! We were celebrating that night but we will definitely be back for lunch or dinner very soon!! The staff left us wanting more!

This is a superb restaurant. The food is imaginatively conceived , impeccably prepared, and beautifully presented. The service is friendly, flawless, and almost too attentive. I liked that the owner was on the scene. Our waitress was knowledgeable about the food. The space is understated but comfortable and pleasant. It is a lovely area to visit.

Our first time to gather for a family celebration. The food was excellent, each dish did not disappoint and left us wanting more. The staff was super pleasant and we never felt rushed or pressured. The restaurant is THE hub of Bantam and it buzzes with life that makes it very welcoming. Regretfully on the night we ate here we were seated by the bar and conversation was so strained we wore ourselves out trying to compete with the energetic bar customers. We eventually left to eat dessert (ice cream from their adjoining creamery) in our car where it was considerably quieter. We mentioned this to the manager and were told this was an unusual night, not their typical volume level. It was just unfortunate that we couldn't linger longer.

Our table wasn’t ready when we arrived and we were sat in the middle of a busy restaurant. The food quality was average and the service generally frenetic. They started shutting down service/tables by 9pm and we felt like we should leave.

Excellent staff and service. Everything was great. Went for our Anniversary. For starter, oysters and lobster avocado salad were delicious. I had Mediterranean Sea Bass and my wife had Trio of pork. Beautiful presentations from appetizers to desserts. Extremely satisfying. Thank you head chef Dan and their friendly manager, whose name escapes me now.

Excellent food and good variety. The servers were excellent. There were a couple extras, like some blue cheese mousse before the meal. We didn't have room for dessert, but they brought us small hazelnut brownies and milk from the farm. Very thoughtful giving a tiny dessert to round out the meal. The cheese sampler plate was excellent as an appetizer.

The wait staff was gracious and friendly. Eating outdoors on the patio was a treat. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The heirloom tomato soup was extraordinary. The fried chicken sandwich was tender and delectable. The toasted coconut ice cream was a wonderful ending to a perfect meal. I look forward to a return visit.

Servers are amazing! Pleasant and attentive! Cuisine is truly orgasmic! I've never found myself conscientiously refraining from constant, "mmmmmm's" for my dining companions sake!

I go Arethusa every summer and the food is outstanding. The service is great and they strive to make the whole experience pleasant. We asked for a suggestion for a wine which was handled with confidence and enthusiasm . We also had some food allergies which were also handled very nicely for the amuse bouche. You are lucky to get a reservation here!

Excellent food and experience, as always. My only minor complaint is the space is very loud, acoustically speaking. The ambiance suggests the ability to have a quiet, intimate conversation-though one must raise their voice to be heard over the din of the crowd. I would recommend a quick design study that looks at mitigating sound reflectivity to soften the space. It might even make a big difference to add support pillows to the benches for sound absorption alone.

Another wonderful meal at Arethusa! Appetizers were smoked salmon roll and stuffed squash blossoms, both were excellent. As entrees, I had the Mediterranean Sea bass which was so delicious and the presentation made it almost too beautiful to eat! My husband had the evenings special -fluke with lump crab spaetzle. I would have included a photo of his, but it was too yummy for him to wait! We love going, but make reservations far in advance. They are always busy, but it’s well worth the wait.

Went for a birthday dinner and was seated at the front window... what a view! The service was amazing, a little slow at the beginning but then smooth sailing. All of my entrees were phenomenal. Highly recommend the octopus with chorizo as a beginner!

This ia a foodie's restaurant. The menu is unique in a delightful, delicious way - culinary treats you will not find elsewhere. This is definitely a high end establishment and prices reflect that. Portions are not large, yet they are adequate and the presentation is beautiful. The extra touches are so wonderful and give the sense guests are really appreciated and pampered. For instance, in between courses we were delighted with mini ice cream cones filled with fig jam underneath blue cheese mousse. We declined dessert (too full) and were presented with mini glasses of Arethusa milk and small delights that were a cross between a gooey chocolate cookie and a brownie. The maitre'd does come around to chat and ensure customers are having a pleasant experience.

We like the spacing between courses, we did not feel at all rushed.

The only thing I would change is we wanted to order an appetizer while deciding on an entree but our server (politely) refused, telling us that Chef prefers the complete order all at once. We had saved our appetites and were ready to choose an appetizer. It would have been nice to order one but this isn't a deal breaker - will definitely go back.

One other suggestion is to either change the customer dress code or enforce it. On the site it is 'business casual' so we dressed accordingly. Disappointed to see others in t shirts and sneakers and a disregard for the requests of the establishment. No one was disheveled or sloppy but most were definitely dressed in casual summer attire.

My wife and I celebrated our 35th anniversary at Arethusa al Tavolo on Sunday. From the special attention from the staff to the cheese, the wind and the fantastic entrees, the evening was memorable.? I am telling all of my friends and colleagues about this amazing restaurant.

You will not be disappointed.
