This is a First Class restaurant. There are few places that can rival the mastery displayed by the chef. Each item was a most impressive example of culinary perfection. And it is all done by the staff with class, not pretense. Among the finest dining experiences I have ever had.

The food was absolutely amazing. We went here for a birthday dinner and they kindly wrote a birthday card for the person. I've never seen so much service provided to a table. The only thing that bothered us was how loud the restaurant was. The cheese, ice cream and whole milk after was the best. I would certainly recommend eating here!

Perfect from the service to the quality of the food. It feels like an ultra high end restaurant for reasonable high end prices. We shared an appetizer, had two entrees, desert, one $17 glass of wine, and the tab was less than $150. Couldn’t recommend more. We will definitely be back.

Outstanding, Robert and his staff attend to your every need. The kitchen does an outstanding job of combining fresh ingredients right from the farm along with creative dishes and excellent presentation. Craft cocktails, very attentive staff who are engaged and energetic. A MUST Dine experience!!!!

We went for our anniversary on a Thursday night and had the best dining experience, even better than expected. The food was superb and beautifully presented, wonderful food and wine menus to choose from, and the service was perfect. Everyone - general manager, waiters and bartender - all contributed to ensuring that our meal and entire evening was as good as it could be. It was worth the cost, and I would definitely go again. It is true that the noise level is quite high and some of the tables are a bit close together, but everything else far outweighed that for us.

Outstanding gem in the Litchfield Hills. Attention is paid to every detail. The menu is innovative and exciting; service is superb. Arrive early for a drink in the bar; the bartender is a true professional. Try the cheeses from the owners’ local farm.

The restaurant was ridiculously load. They don’t have anything to absorb sound. Tin ceiling just makes it louder. I will not go again on a weekend. Food was good but the homemade ice cream was tasteless.

Once again, I can only rave about Arethusa al Tavolo. My husband and I have been to the restaurant many times and I can honestly say this last dinner was the best yet. Dan Magill and his staff in the kitchen keep getting better and more creative. And the current group of servers - we adore Jenya (hope I'm spelling her name right) - are knowledgeable about the menu and welcoming. I started with the spring salad, which was heavenly - so fresh, light and colorful. My husband had his standby appetizer, the lobster and avocado, and it didn't disappoint. My main course was salmon. Yes, you can get salmon anywhere, but not as silky and scrumptious as Dan Magill's. If I'd been home, I would have licked my plate. My husband had the trio of pork and every morsel was a treat. The bread and butter, the dessert, the wine - all stellar. Bravo to the whole crew. We can't wait to return.

We four all ordered something different from the small plates and main menu, with one bottle of wine and ice cream for dessert. Everything was perfectly presented, tasted fantastic and the service was impeccable. The cost was most reasonable for such a feast.

You get what you pay for. At first glance the prices may seem a bit high, but considering the elegance of the restaurant, the locally grown food, and the amazing dairy products, this was a bargain. Everything is plated and served perfectly, with deliberation and care. The Celery Root Open Ravioli was visually stunning, and the taste was beyond description. The service was wonderful. The servers were smart and informed, they displayed great elegance but also charm, warmth, and personality. They offered smart recommendations when asked, and they made the experience that much better. What a great crew across the board. Can't wait to go back. Do yourself a favor and go to Arethusa al Tavolo... just be sure to plan ahead and book early!

We have eaten here a number of times and arethusa has always been wonderful but this time they really outdid themselves - from appetizer to dessert. Servers and bartenders really knowledgeable and know the menu and ingredients to a tee. A must-go!

We treated ourselves to this lovely lunch (wonderful rabbit ravioli with carrot sauce and lobster salad with avocado) to celebrate post-tax-return week-end! The food was absolutely worth an one hour+ drive - wine list is great, too, and service very attentive. We shall definitely return!

Also planning to visit the beautiful Arethusa farm compound - it has long been on our list of to do's. The owners deserve much recognition for developing such a wonderful and comprehensive agri-business in the Litchfield Hills!

This may have been the best meal I've ever had. Wow. We drove about an hour to get to the restaurant and I would do it again in a heartbeat. The restaurant is absolutely lovely inside and it had just the right amount of seating (not too crowded). The wait staff stopped by at all the right times. I loved my wine!!!!!!!! But, the real story is the FOOD. Oh. My. Word. I will be dreaming about that food for weeks to come. Special kudos to the cheese board (all six, of course), the oysters with a little dollup on top, and the little chocolate mint truffle ball with shot of fresh milk for a mini dessert. Wow. Do not hesitate to make the effort to go to this restaurant. Personally, I would recommend it for a date because you don't want to miss tasting every bite of your food because you are trying to keep up with a 4 or 6 person conversation.

The food was creative and excellent. The staff was the most friendly possible and not obsequious. This visit was for a birthday celebration but after this great time we really don’t need a special reason. The trip took almost one hour but it was worth it. Can’t wait to come again.
