Food and drinks were overpriced but that’s anywhere Miami. The view was amazing, the staff courteous.
Food was excellent.
Music was loud so not much conversation.
I would recommend the place at least once.
Location and ambiance was great, but food was not cooked properly and the service was not good. Outside was jamming so if you want to go to a hot bar this place is good, but I wouldn't recommend it for dinner.
Food and service were excellent. Pretty nighttime view from terrace. BUT, pounding unreasonably loud music with poor quality sound seriously detracted from the otherwise fine dining experience.
Great location with water view. Interesting menu items but deliver as much flavor as one would expect. Overall nice place.
Nice view that’s about it
We were staying at hotel and this restaurant was a very convenient Sunday night choice. We thought it too cold to sit outside, although many did, but were seated at a nice window table with plenty of privacy. Food is excellent with portions on the small side. Wine selection is fine but relatively expensive. A very pleasant but pricey evening.
My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at Area 31. We were pleasantly surprised they had a table setup for us overlooking the city and the Miami River. A bottle of Procecco was next to the table being chilled. The food was delicious, especially the appetizers. I recommend the octopus and ceviche. Our waitress Yekaterina made the night spectacular with her attentive service. We felt like VIPs. Even the resturant manager stopped by our table and introduced himself while topping off our glasses. It was an excellent evening and I want to thank the staff especially our waitress Yekaterina for making it special. I would definitely recommend Area 31 for a special evening out.
It’s a stunning setting I think 15 floors up, outside seating Remarkable city view. Good food and service. Previous visits were wonderful. This was bad. At the side of the dining area there was a private party with the loud music including a base that vibrated in your teeth. We sat as far as we could. Didn’t help. Had you yell to be heard. . It ruined the experience. I complained and was told not to come on Friday’s because is even louder.
As soon as we were seated outside, we knew we were in the right place! The view of the river below and the downtown area of Miami was just spectacular at sunset. The staff we interacted with were all very friendly and professional. The menu had many interesting choices of dishes to choose from, from octopus to rabbit. We both had a fish entree and we were both very delighted with the flavor and presentation. I'd definitely go back.
Very disappointed to arrive an find the restaurant was hosting an event replete with a DJ, a megaphone & people giving LOUD speeches. We could not speak to each other at our table over the music & speeches going on 10 feet away.
Made for a most unpleasant evening. We should have been told when making the reservation or when the reservation was confirmed that we would be sharing the patio with this circus. I would definitely have changed our reservation.
The restaurant is overpriced and the quality of the food is bellow average. Quite disappointed. For what I paid I would have expected excellent food. The service was good though. Quite disappointed
Visually outstanding but very noisy and food was over cooked for everyone
The food was well prepared but the entire meal was lacking and badly put together. In addition, I was served the wrong glass of scotch. When the waiter brought me a new one he said the bar told him it was the same pour. I showed the waiter both glasses and he could clearly see the difference in color. Avoid this place.
Seated on the outdoor patio of the sixteenth floor with beautiful downtown Miami as the backdrop we lifted our signature cocktails and toasted in anticipation of a memorable dinner at Area 31. The seafood was perfectly prepared and presented with exquisite sauces that kept us returning to our plates for more while remaining light and flavor packed. The dinner was capped off with a delicate tort that was sweet, smooth and decadent chocolate with a bit of crunch presented with fireworks flair to celebrate the evening. The on point service team was prompt, informative and pleasant.
The food as so-so, nothing close to what we expected for the price. The rose wine was very good. The dessert was a regular, ordinary lava cake (petit gateau) with vanilla ice cream - again, nothing different than what we can get at our local restaurant. Now here is where Area 31 shines - the view from its terrace fantastic, out if this world!! We went at night, so the city lights were beautiful and romantic!!
Had a reservation for 8:30pm, arrived 5 minutes before, had to wait ONE HOUR to get a table. Everything overpriced (spent $90 for 2 people and we ended up getting Mc Donalds afterwards). They say rooftop but actually you are in the 16th floor of a 30+ floor hotel, and all the buildings around are at least 2 times taller than where you are. Waiter was really nice tho.
Very good restaurant and a special place for the first night in Miami. Terrasse very friendly at the level 16, just a few noisy because of the flights and the avenue. Good impression.
This was a family dinner for a birthday. Seated on the terrace with a view of the city. Food was very well prepared and presented.
Out of lots of liquor and wine choices
tourists might like ok -- especially being high up
Platos chicos y caros, atención mala.
We got the perfect outdoor seat. Couldn’t have asked for a better romantic evening with my girlfriend! We enjoyed our experience.
Excelente lugar, con una vista increíble.
Stunning views from the patio. Food was delicious.
Since Sunday brunch here started at noon, the restaurant was quite empty. Nonetheless, service was very slow. Juices and coffee were fresh and tasty, but it took a long time for each to come. Brunch was ok, but not special.
Beautiful view of downtown Miami! Great service and our server was very knowledgeable about the menu.
Awesome food great location!
Unfortunately for my first time, it was not that great. To start off the review I checked in at 7:15 and we didn’t leave the restaurant until 10pm. It was only myself and my girlfriend. I wanted to surprise her for her birthday. The view at this location is great, although we sat near the door where multiple people were coming in and out and even people who were staying at the hotel were just dropping in just to see the scene which was disruptive. Our waitress was nice, however super inattentive. She recommended a non-alcoholic beverage to me and I confirmed but she never brought me the drink. We wanted an appetizer and ordered the shrimp and then 20 minutes later she came and same they were 86? Not having a popular app on a Saturday night early in the evening was shocking. We waited long periods of time for her to come and even give us the status on our food. We did not order that much, I had a salad. All in all the end of the night ended by a waiter pouring the wrong drink into my cup and is waiting forever for the check. Not sure where the disconnect was on this night but I was super disappointed. Not sure I would give it another go. Just for the record this was a birthday occasion. Nothing special was done, given or compt which was really upsetting. I’d like to recommend this restaurant for many reasons but unfortunately the view is all it has to offer.
Restaurant is expensive but this is not a problem because the area (Brickell) is high top in Miami, but in my opinion I think the overall is not good I fell like I’m in a regular restaurant the food is good but nothing extraordinary plates are not well designed and the taste is about average.
There are good restaurants in this area, I not recommend this.
Service was excellent, but they charged 20% of tip mandatory, this is in my opinion disrespectful for customers, because tips are a premium for service .
First. Do not go for dinner during happy hour. Whether you choose to eat outside, 16 floors up, or you dine inside, you will not be able to have a conversation with
Your companions. And you won’t hear tour server unless he/she shouts. The loud, pulsing, mind-shaking sounds emanating from happy hour prevents all conversation.
While ridiculously over prices (grilled salmon for $26.00 with nothing else of the plate) the food was good. We were surprised that we got no bread and that the server tried really hard to up-sell on on wine specials for the day.
Dinner cost over $80.00 per person with
One glass of wine each. Had we been able to hear anything, we might have complained
Canadian oysters were fresh and tasty. The grilled octopus is one for the record books ! I’ll definitely return to explore more. Our server Yekaterina was knowledgeable and all recommendations were spot on.
Would have loved to be outside! Went out to take a picture of your fabulous view ! Was stopped by a short lady in black with an attitude !
Would definitely come back !
Great place for lunch, food was omg so good. The service was a little slow but the server Maria was very nice.
Our first impression was a bit bumpy - the hostess was pretty aloof and sat us right outside the kitchen and made it clear that she wasn't going to move us. It was early and there were empty tables all around us for the duration of our dinner. However, our waitress was amazing. My husband really hates kale and beets -- both of which are included on the two salad options. He teased her about it, but she actually returned with a salad made just for him. Most of the menu was creative and good, if a bit overpriced. Dinner for four was over $500 for 4 people. I'll pay that for a rare experience, but the boys ordered steak...not too much creativity required there.
Great service! Warm place and amazing view. I was there for dinner with my girlfriend and the place has maybe the best view in town about the skyline. Sea food horrible for the price i paied, with no taste at all, served with ketchup, clear butter and italian sauce.. how can you serve oyster like that i don’t know! I will be back for thé service and view.. not at all for food!
Mediocre food. Very expensive. Who cares about a good view when the below average food is wayyy too expensive
Was really good
The waitress was awesome
Food was good and the wine list really good
I tried to comunicate via email for a request one day after and there is not any available.
I went for lunch with a business client, food was not worth the money being charged.
Server Zack was very good. The team very attentive. The view is amazing and romantic. I had one issue, but I tried to look past it.
