Area 31 - Epic Hotel Ratings and Reviews
The service was way below what we expected. The server was short worded, and not at all helpful when ordering from the menu. The food was not out of the ordinary, ambiance and location was good. The experience with customer service was just horrible. Would much rather expend the money somewhere else.
Took my girlfriend for dinner on her birthday and let me tell you what an amazing view, the service was great. Had a few drinks at the bar before we were seated. Great positive environment. Food was great, we even recieved 2 Champaign glasses on the house due to the birthday celibration, I will definitely return.
We met our friend from New Zealand who was in town for a lovely lunch. The Hotel is under construction on the restaurant floor and the neighborhood is a mess. We took Uber and were glad we did. The food was very good and the service was excellent. We would return.
Worst experience ever. We booked a table outside to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. When we arrived we were seated inside, next to the bar/kitchen area. There was no mention of not seating us outside by the hostess, no attempt to seat us at a nice table inside close to windows, etc. It was so loud we could not have a conversation without literally screaming at each other. Ambiance was non-existant. The water was bland and un-attentative. Food was OK, but the rest of the experience ruined even that.
We arrived on a Sunday and did not know there was only a Brunch menu available... Hugo the Manager came to the rescue and asked Chef Omar if he could prepare Risotto al Funghi for us. It was delicious with great service from Maria, our very attentive server... Overall, great experience! Thank you!
This is my second time going back to Area 31. This time for dinner. Ashley was out server as was great. It is recommended you make a reservation which I did but the place was not busy. I would say this applies for the weekends. We were sat in about 15 minutes.
I ordered the croquettes and yuca fries to start off along with two drinks. The drinks were strong and not watered down. The croquettes were decent but the yuca fries with chimichurri sauce were amazing. We ordered the rib eye which was delicious. It is a large portion and can be split with some appetizers.
I also ordered the risotto off the Miami spice menu with the pork belly. The pork belly was delicious but the risotto didn't have much taste to it. The portion was pretty small but still ok for one person. I was not impressed compared to the rest of the food. Especially considering it was over $200 worth of food and drinks.
Next time I'll stick to drinks and appetizers. Don't miss out on the yuca fries!
Decided to take my wife on our 5 year anniversary. Couldn’t have picked a better location. Even if they served dog food, the view was worth it alone! We decided to pick several plates to share and a few cocktails. Food and Service was great and included a visit from the manager. Thank you very much
I went to Area31 for dinner on Saturday 9/2 and that experience
was a good one. I then came for brunch on 9/3 and it
was a bad experience. The waiter was pretentious and forgot who
is the customer and who is the worker. Then I ordered the Benedict. The
eggs should have been poached but they were hard boiled. The spinach should have been sautéed in butter, it was sautéed in some foul tasting animal fat. Epic 31 will never have me as a customer again.
Extremely hard to find and get to; greeted unprofessionally and unfriendly; service after that was adequate; food was overcooked and overrated. Other than great views and nice building, it is best that I don't speak. Would never go back again. Extremely disappointing.
The hotel and location is outstanding, though unfortunately the service was a little poor. It took way too long until we had our drinks after ordering and the food didn't have much taste. We had the whole fish special, and our choice of fish was the snapper. Literally had no other taste than fried fish. So a little disappointed about that. Though the view is absolutely spectacular and very gorgeous. We had dinner on a Friday during happy hour, and they separate the place from the diners to the drinkers, which was actually very nice. I do recommend experiencing it, as the hotel in itself is very nice.
