We stayed at the hotel and received a 20% discount for dinner at Area 31. We sat outside with a great view of downtown. The drinks were very syrupy — something I would expect at a college bar ladies' night. Food was bland, with no real flavor. Everything was fresh but seemed to have no real culinary influence. Prices were on par with the most excellent Michelin rated restaurants. Curious, they don't offer 20% off Zuma... I think the hotel is aware of the sub-par product offered at Area 31 but bank on enough people falling for the offer based on the Zuma reputation. We would recommend a pass on this Tourist Trap.
Nothing Epic!!! Was in town and staying at the hotel, so decided to stay in the first night. We expected a whole lot more from a 5 star hotel, and especially the area. Would definitely not eat here again, especially with all of the other local options available. The cost/value equation just wasn't there, and nothing on the menu, nor what we had set off the sensometer. I would recommend the grilled octopus appetizer though, best part of the meal. Disappointing, as we were looking for a whole more, and Area 31 just didn't deliver.
Menu is limited. Speakers were super loud by our table and it was hard to hear.
Great Thanksgiving Day buffet.
Our Server was outstanding and he is what made the day sincerely. He was attentive, fun, focused, really a pleasure dealing with him. His name is Dany. He is the reason we want to go back!
The hotel was nice and the ambiance was very good. The person that was helping our table was very entertaining. However, we went for a thanksgiving brunch that was advertised on the webpage and they didn't have that brunch any longer. apparently they used to have it in past years. the food was good, not great but it took more than 45 minutes to get breakfast food. the location is amazing but the overall experience not great.
The food was very good, but a little expensive. We sat on the patio, which was nice, but the disco was loud. Service was good, but uneven. At times the waiter was very attentive, at others nowhere to be seen.
Spectacular views of the city and delicious food. The server was wonderful and made great food/drink recommendations. She also provided Prosecco on the house for my husband’s birthday. Highly recommend!
Beautiful settings and view atop majestic Miami. We visited for my cousin’s birthday on a cousins day out. Really good food and service
Excelente comida muy buen servicio recomendadisimo
The food was overpriced for what we received. Very disappointing. Valet is unorganized and we had to go up to restaurant 2x to get out validation for valet service when they could’ve just called them directly. It’s a shame the restaurant was disappointing because the view is amazing. Sorry but not worth the $$$.
Highly recommend that if you stay at the Kimpton Epic hotel that you go to Area 31. Great menu and amazing food. Atmosphere is spectacular
Very average and the guest were load and low class
It was a double birthday... one 76 year old and his 13 year old grandson.
We loved it all and the staff went out of their way to make us feel special.
Everyone very nice, our waitress very knowledgable on the different plates overall great experience
Such an amazing experience. The views are incredible which create an unforgettable atmosphere. This is our second time dining here. We will definitely be returning
Me and my girlfriend ordered the salmon along with some mashed potatoes and some friends. The service and the environment was great but I think that the food was a little bit overpriced.
Dinner was horrible! Do not go here...we ordered an appetizer that was delivered THIRTY minutes AFTER we were finished with our main course which was absolutely terrible. I ordered the snapper which was timed upside down on my plate with the skin left on it. Living on the coast I would have expected much better seafood. Don’t waste your money.
Good vide! Great views. Excellent food and service. Thanks to the manager Diego.
This was the first experience here and given the high standards of Zuma, expectations were high. Cocktails took an unusually long time to arrive but were good. The smoked beef tartare was the best part of the meal. The yellow tail main course would have been acceptable had it arrived hot! The side of Robuchon Potatoes also arrived cold with virtually no taste. At $12 for 7 pieces of potatoe is just unreasonable. I cannot see a return visit on the cards. All things considered, this was very disappointing..
We had a great time with a spectacular view at Area 31. Warm welcome from the hostess and our waiter, Alejandro, was just perfect, he took really good care of us.
Sitting outside is the best experience. Very romantic
Fantastic view. Simple but perfectly executed lunch menu. I'll be back soon. ♥️♥️♥️
Dinner here was so fabulous that we were disappointed by the poor service and experience we had at brunch.
Really bad the service the food the only good thing about this restaurant is the view nothing more
Outside dining a must. Spectacular city views
Food was delicious, service ok but melodramatic. Noise level was intolerable, adding stress to the evening and detracting from the meal. Acoustic blocks could easily be installed to help.
Our waiter went above and beyond to make my birthday so very special. He new the mere and explained everything to us. He needs a special honor His name was Danny Rodgers. Thanks so much for a great night
Amazing dinner experience! Excellent
Disappointed. Exceptionally limit menu. Server went out of his way to improve selecting
Great food and service excellent (Alexandro is a great waiter)
The Restaurant is very beautiful, the views are stunning. Great service, drinks were good overall. My only complaint is that it is very expensive, but I guess you're paying for the views it offers.
The food was great. A little pricey for the average person but we are here from Chicago so I believe that you get what you pay for. The staff was excellent and attentive. I’ll definitely be back.
We picked this restaurant only for the outdoor sitting terrace. We reserved a table outside but when we got there they said it was closed. Then we asked to have drinks after dinner and they said it was totally fine. We had dinner inside and afterwards before leaving we went to the terrace which was closed. Nice. Very disappointed especially because food and ambience weren’t that great for the value. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to go to be honest. We also asked why as we saw few people outside before and they didn’t give as an explanation. Very unpleasant experience
We had a wonderful time! The food is incredible and the views are absolutely stunning of downtown Miami.
Excelente restaurante! Definitivamente volveré, y Dany,, excelente servicio!
Nice place definitely had a good vibe. But was a little over priced in my mind.
Nice place...Food was normal but kind of pricy.
Disgusting oysters. Weren’t fresh.
Crab isn’t fresh ether.
Soup and octopus was good.
I had 3 bloody marry - each time drink tastes different. Not good. Service slow.
Muy caro. Una mimosa 18 dólares. Y el servicio y el ambiente es pésimo. No volvería a ir a ese lugar. Mala experiencia
