Excelente cena, lo repetiremos
Great service by our server Danilo ,one of the best server i have experienced and manager is very involved with the tebles ,great view and food
Excellent food, excellent view. Dany rodgers served us and recommned excellent options of the menú
I ll definetly recommmend this place yo my friends
Pre-Birthday go my Wife, we run away after appetizer
This place is in need of a makeover. The chairs were worn, the floors were filthy, the service was moderate at best and the food overrated. There is no, I repeat no, view of the water unless you look over the railing. Eggs were sitting under a heat lamp, toast was cold and had to request hot sauce three times before it was brought. Definitely not a Sunday brunch restaurant. It was a typical hotel afterthought restaurant.
Celebrating My Aunt’s Epic 93rd Birthday 🥳
We visited recently to celebrate a special occasion. I’m a foodie and have eaten at great places across the world. The Area31 location is great but the food and service are nowhere near worth the prices.
The food was mediocre in flavor, texture and presentation. For example the pasta carbonara came out congealed into a solid half-sphere (the shape of the bowl). It wasn’t smoky at all and the pasta was over-cooked. The Caesar salad dressing just tasted bad and was presented like a McDonalds salad with the lettuce cut up very small, barely any croutons. The padrón peppers were drowned in an aioli - not a drizzle but drowned. The key lime pie is more like a citrus cheesecake - but was pretty tasty once you accept it’s not key lime pie.
The staff are mostly well intentioned but haven’t been trained nor directed well. We had two different waiters throughout the night but still had to wave people down to get things. Our first waiter was also the bartender - he wasn’t very knowledgeable about the menu. The second waiter always seemed to be in a rush when visiting our table. But neither visited often. One woman spent much of her free time between bussing tables hugging and kissing on the expediter right in the center of the restaurant.
They have an extensive and very pricey wine list but no one seemed to know much about the wines.
All of this may be due to the pandemic - but S Florida has been mostly back to normal for a while. Our meal for four was $600 including tip and excluding wine. I can assure you for that money there are many better places in Miami.
Lovely setting, ambiance and view. The cocktails were quality but we were all left feeling quite disappointed with the food. It wasn’t bad, just nothing above average. Wonderful service and a very fun evening
Área 31 was a very pleasant location . I particularly enjoyed the risotto a light yet fulfilling savory dish. All of the servers were very attentive, receptive, and kind. Overall the location hold great value, spectacular service, a great view of Brickell, and alludes to the classic Miami feel.
Overcooked pasta and sugary sauce and rubbery calamari. No price mentioned for specials and the appetizer special octopus was $48. Service non-attentive. Would go for a glass of water and the view in the future but not food
Celebrating a friend’s accomplishments!
Amazing food, service was fab, just quite cold as the air conditioning was very high.
Very nice outdoor dining experience, great view, good to very good food and service, prices reasonable for this caliber of place
Service was great, food could be better. Music outside would be nice as well.
Just my friend came in town and I wanted to take him to a special place to eat
Service not what it should be
This was an amazing affordable experience! Went here for my husband’s birthday, the rooftop views are breathtaking, the food was so good, we were shocked as most “upscale” restaurants don’t have great food lol. We are definitely going back here to experience it in the day time. On the house champagne was served for his birthday.
food has to improve a lot , serve were like in a hurry
Dinner w/ Great Friends… Salmon 😀
The dining experience didn’t start off too great as our hostess was not friendly. We had 2 people from our party of 4 come in first, and she checked us in for only 2 at first. I told her the reservation is for 4 and we were waiting for 2 more people. She appeared very annoyed and went in to print a new ticket. She still only brought our 2 place settings and we had to ask 2 more people for the extra place settings.
Our server was amazing and enthusiastic the whole night which did make up for the other woman. Our drinks and appetizer came out in a timely manner.
The food took over an hour to come out - and my risotto and steak were almost cold when they came out. The food preparation could have been timed better.
We were celebrating an anniversary and our server was very excited to greet us with a surprise.
There was a private party going on which was noisy - but not particularly the restaurants fault.
Overall it was a subpar experience, the view was nice, but the food quality did not support the higher prices. Would probably not return
Great service and delicious food but most of all was the incredible view of downtown Miami and Brickell. Highly recommend
Excellent view excellent service and the food was beyond delicious. Loved the specialty cocktails as well.
Ambiance and view was amazing. Food was truly terrible.
Nice atmosphere. Great service. Food ok. Food should be better for price
One of the best meals that I’ve ever eaten! It is so nice to finally dine at a rooftop restaurant where the food actually matches the amazing views! The Spicy Tuna Tacos started out with one set of amazing flavors and transitioned into another set of wonderful flavors while we were chewing through the smiles that this delightful appetizer put on our faces. The Grilled Fresh Whole Fish was simply the best that I’ve ever had. Sweet flaky melt in your mouth sublime deliciousness… Try not to chuckle while you’re eating… It is so good!
The views and the breeze off the ocean from 16 floors up made you never want to leave. The seating on the balcony made you feel like you had the whole restaurant to yourself even though it was quite full. Great service as well. Thank you Area 31 Chef! Thank you David for the great recommendations and the manager and staff!
We made an open table reservation and it was one of
The last slots available. I’m a server in a fine dining steakhouse, so I’m never trying to come at an inappropriate time close to close. There was a slot available - if you’re unwilling to take care of guests and are going to make them feel unwelcome and uncomfortable - don’t offer these slots? This was not ten minutes before close?!
Our initial server was lovely. However - the server assistant upon coming up to our table, (this was almost comical and exaggerated, so inappropriate) in a very exaggerated motion, pulls his arm up to his face to look very pointedly at his wristwatch, Looks back at our faces - makes eye contact, raises a brow, and then puts his wristwatch down.
Wow! At my place of work this would be torn apart. I seethed inside and also felt uncomfortable, but moved on. Our main server was lovely and accommodating, but he then disappeared. I assume he gave away his table or was cut, whatever - we aren’t picky, we just wanted a lovely lunch outside before our busy day. I’m not here to analyze service - I do this for a living, I prefer NOT to think about Service AT ALL on vacation. I’m not analyzing and judging little details - but this was unforgivable.
Then- the server assistant and multiple other new assistants keep trying to clear my dishes. I wasn’t done?! I’m a small woman- I’d like to eat the food I ordered and be sustained for the day. Finally I was so furious at his repeated attempts to clear my plate, that I exasperatedly let him, to prove a point - and he takes my freaking FORK. But leaves food
Then another random server drops off our check. No offer of coffee or dessert. I’m fuming at this point. My friend asks for lattes. The new server who cashed us out was kind enough to get them - but the damage was done.
I think the real insult was that the server assistant was not harassing rushing or judging the table of four octogenarian guests in his section. Talking laughing. We were targeted.
What an amazing view, but they don’t take better advantage of it. No music, needs better atmosphere, but the food and service were good. Still, no rush to go back.
We stayed at this Hotel, which was amazing Hotel on so many levels.
The VIEW from our suite was incredible and the room itself was huge and well appointed. It’s a very chic hotel. We booked reservations in hopes of a great meal, but sadly, my seafood entree was overcooked and very bland (it’s $50 meal!) and my fiancé meal, a Steak was way over cooked (he didn’t complain but he also didn’t particularly enjoy)....they took off my entree and the manager On site felt bad along with the server, who was pretty much non-existent (my fiancé even had to get our 2nd drinks at the bar) the one thing the on-site manager did was fill our glasses with wine (basically gave us a free bottle of wine for our experience)
The Goat salad was amazing but the main dishes could use a little salt. No flavor or seasoning.
Great experience with Area 31! Thank you!
Our anniversary dinner was excellent. David our server made our night extremely pleasant.
The only set back was the horrible marijuana smell on the outside seating.
Beautiful view , the food is good , small menu. The cocktail are really good . The place isn’t cheap but the view and the atmosphere worth it!!!
Our waiter and the woman that was bringing us water both had bad attitudes and very unprofessional. I love the restaurant service was very unprofessional last night.
Great restaurant. Food was expensive but good. Views were superb and service was spectacular. Our server Danny was the best.
Waited 1 hour for my food to arrive to my table, waiter ignored us once he noticed the length of time has passed and our food did not arrive to our table. Manager came by to explained that the kitchen was backed up, I ask him who was managing the kitchen and he could not answer me. For the amount of people at the restaurant I could not accept the delay. I believe they forgot my order.
The view was perfect and the server excellent but the food was horrible, if this restaurant have a good food of course we are to repeat the place…
The French toast and chicken sausage were phenomenal!
Delicious seafood, attentive and courteous service crew, and spectacular view
