I grew up in Memphis and my wife and I were traveling through on a recent visit to relatives in Arkansas. We wanted to have lunch at a place with fun people, good food and a classic Memphis feel and Arcade is definitely all of those things. And if you’re out and about for the day it’s an easy walk to plenty of historical and contemporary sights.
The staff greeted you when you walked in the door. The food was hot and delicious.
Breakfast there and food and service very good.
We love the food, but had to wait 45+ minutes after ordering to get it.
Very unique & charming diner. Formica counter tops & old bar stools. Food was awesome! Best grits I’ve ever eaten!!
I love to dine in historical places. This establishment has a great history and story. Love that. The decor is perfect, food spot on and service was good.
Elvis dinned here many times and there Peanut Butter and Banana grilled was spot on.
Overpriced, food not good, cold fries. Loud music, booths need reupholstering!
Had a reservation at 12:45 Reservation was honored; however, we waited 104 minutes before our food was served. Three tables were seated after us and were served before us. Waitress failed to check on us in a timely manner. Very disappointed as this experience was one my family had been anticipating. Unfortunately, the only excuse we were given is that the kitchen gets backed up! The table next to us also experienced the same delays as we did. Cannot recommend.
We ate dinner before the Tool concert. I am a huge Elvis fan, so I was excited to sit in Elvis’ booth! The food was good, service was excellent. It’s part of Memphis history and a must visit.
Restaurant was meh. The setup is cool and the menu is decent. Two downsides
1. Service wasnt good.
2. Food wasnt fresh. The fries, hashbrowns, and biscuits were several hours old. We sent those back. The food that was fresh tasted decent.
Having breakfast at the Arcade sitting at Elvis’ booth is a great way to start off in Memphis. I love when the staff shared stories about the history of the restaurant- it enhances the experience.
The Arcade was a wonderful experience. Food was terrific. The server was fun and efficient. Restaurant was clean and nice. Perfect breakfast.
Arcade was a perfect place for breakfast. Great food, plus fun ambiance and history!
I love this place.
The whole place was grimy, food was below adequate in taste and portion. Too loud to even have a conversation in a booth. We knew it was a ‘landmark’ but is my worth the trip.
Great experience! An annual get together with one of my friends from up north. We enjoyed the food and beverages, as well as the nostalgic feel when you are at the Arcade. Will definitely visit again when in town.
Cold food sent back, poor service
Excellent breakfast and plentiful. Sweet potato pancakes were great.
Everything was amazing we sat in the Elvis booth which had been reserved for us. The breakfast 🥐 was absolutely delicious 😋 the staff were very friendly and happy 😊 thank you thank you thank you 😊
Went for the diner experience which it was kind of but part of the Restarant is just regular chairs and tables. We reserved a table but should have said ‘booth’ please. My side of sautéed spinach was Party Aly good accomplishment to the eggs bacon and biscuit combo.
Waitress was a bit disinterested but I think it’s hard to get top staff in the city.
We wanted to visit the oldest cafe in Memphis and were thrilled that we landed on their 100th Anniversary celebration. Turns out, it was more of an event rather than just drinks and dinner! And although it rained that day, nobody's spirits were dampened with added entertainment; the live music was brought indoors for everyone to enjoy while eating. There was a limited menu on this special day as we shared two small pizzas and Greek salads which were excellent. Kudos to the staff who were so friendly and accommodating that this landmark deserves a return visit when we're in town again.
We ate breakfast here 3 days in a row. Everything was excellent. We even got to sit in the Elvis booth!!
Really good basic breakfast. Nothing fancy but it tasted homemade. If you like sweet potatoes definitely try the sweet potato pancakes. Very good biscuits and gravy. Cute neighborhood.
We enjoyed eating at the arcade and learning about the history. Our waitress was so nice and the food was tasty. The coffee was outstanding! We were in Memphis celebrating my husband’s birthday!
Atmosphere was cool but the food was average. My food in particular came out Luke warm with little to no taste. We came for breakfast so perhaps lunch or dinner is better. Would not go again for breakfast.
Upon arriving, I was greeted and was immediately taken to our table. The food was good and every employee I encountered was extremely nice. Will definitely be back!!
Finished off our trip to Memphis with breakfast at the Arcade. The food was good but the sweet potato pancakes were amazing!!
It is a MUST DO in Memphis❣ BEST breakfast ever❣ Don't forget to check out Elvis's table❣And they take reservations online❣
Delicious food and plenty of nostalgia!
Love it! So glad we went while in town!
A reservation means nothing at this place, food was just ok definately nothing special. Would not go back
The food was amazing! The sweet potatoe pancakes were out of this world, but it did take almost 45 minutes to get my meal and I was by myself.
Great food great history, sat in the ELVIS booth. Perfect.
Really not worth the trip. Food was so substandard it's not even worth mentioning. Put a little more effort in
Food was good just took kind of long to get my pizza. they forgot to put the chicken on the pizza so had to wait even longer and they she kinda forgot about it. So overall good not the beat i ever had but the strawberry cake was the bomb!
Love the sweet potato pancakes. Very friendly and efficient service.
This is a true Memphis experience.
We got there early and they seated us despite it being very busy. The French Toast "Arcade Style" was amazing - deep fried toast with a fantastic pecan tasty syrup. My son said it was the best burger that he's ever had! Enjoyed seeing all the history there and very glad we went to the oldest diner in Memphis.
We went there before our tour of the King’s home Graceland and even was able to eat in his booth 😁 the service was awesome the staff was so friendly and the food was amazing! Would absolutely recommend stopping and grabbing a bite in this iconic diner.
This is a must if you are in Memphis..we sat in the Elvis booth and had a grilled peanut butter and banana sandwich for breakfast...awesome food and history here...highly recommend you stop here and eat!!!
