ARC Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Our server vivienne was outstanding! Made my husband feel so special for his birthday. Quite evident this restaurant has standards of customer service they teach their employees and only hire friendly, interactive staff. Thanks so much will be back! Don’t usually take time to leave a review unless the service was incredible
We celebrated a birthday at Arc. It was easy booking the reservation on Opentable and writing in the special request for celebrating the birthday. Once we arrived at the restaurant, they already knew all of the information. Great service. Delicious food. Wonderful atmosphere.
Service at ARC is always top-notch. In fact, I have not felt so welcomed and a restaurant in Vancouver in a long time. Everyone from greeting staff to our server was very professional and friendly. The food prices are a little bit high, but you are always getting quality ingredients and fantastic service. I find this place ideal for a relaxing lunch or a business meeting. In the evening it's a lovely place to stop and grab a quick drink.
We very much enjoyed our evening at ARC. Our server was tremendous, and really went out of her way to look after us. We began our meal with mushroom soup and fresh oysters. Both were delicious (I should have ordered more oysters!), and nicely prepared us for our mains of sablefish and salmon. Again, both were delicious- my salmon nearly melted in my mouth. Dessert and cappuccino topped off the meal. There is a nice wine list- we chose a Barolo that nicely complemented the meal. Not inexpensive, but about what you would expect to pay at a restaurant of this calibre. Perfect for a special occasion!
This was our first time dining at Arc and it was a great experience. The restaurant is bright and airy with big windows. Our server was friendly and cheery, which was a pleasant surprise from other servers we've had (at other restaurants) or seem like they don't want to be there.
We ordered their lobster benedict, which was super tasty. Highly recommend trying it. They provide a good size portion of lobster with a light salad and green juice on the side.
Great spot for brunch!
This is one of my favorite restaurants to go to on a special occasion - or just for a nice night out! The food is always delicious and the service is excellent. They have interesting cocktails and a good wine list. We also tried their beer for the first time and it was really good! I can't recommend it enough!
This is a busy hotel on the waterfront and the restaurant is very open and high-ceilinged, so it lacks somewhat in "cozy ambience." It also attracts a wide range of diners who are hotel guests, cruisers awaiting their ship the next day, or tour groups. However, the food was outstanding and our server made us feel special, so that made us very happy. We had the "ARC Board" for two people which was outstanding. We would definitely eat here again next time we are in Vancouver.
Great face-lift from Heron restaurant before. It is now fun, trendy, updated, and suitable for all ages. The price is fair for a restaurant inside the Fairmont Waterfront hotel. The beer selections were not bad but over-priced slightly. Our server was excellent. If they know it was a birthday booking, you may get a good surprise.
Tables are far enough apart to provide a sense of privacy in a large, high-ceilinged venue offering good views, tasty and well-presented dishes, and a varied menu. The bar was surprisingly limited in liqueur choices, which limits the cocktail choices available.
The live music volume was a tad loud, but the acoustics of a glass-walled, high-ceilinged venue make it difficult to render the excellent entertainer's voice ( Cassandra Bangel) legible without being a bit loud.
Overall a good and reasonably priced dinner outing.
We were greeted very warmly and congratulated on our joint birthdays....2 life-long friends celebrating a total of 164 years of life! Waiter Darrin was excellent, friendly helpful and patient!
We hope to be at Arc again next year for the same event . It has become a custom for us!
Overall this is a good restaurant. Staff are friendly and accommodating. We wanted a nice dinner to celebrate my brother running the marathon. We took a chance on this because we thought it would have an ocean front view and some steak options. It's not an ocean front view and only one very expensive steak item.
I would suggest they have the full menu posted on their website (only the breakfast/brunch menu was posted).
We still enjoyed the meal and had a good time. Live music was nice.
The location of Arc is outstanding...big windows in the heart of Vancouver.
They have a couple of spacious tables for family or business gatherings...a nice touch.
The food was very good; especially the chowder...yum
I had a duck sandwich special; the flavour was just average
I will be heading back; making better choices from the menu
We were attending an event at Canada Place so it was nearby. Nice sustainable local foods cooked well. The bread/rolls were delish and just couldn't pass them up. It is a big restaurant but tables are far enough apart to make it "intimate" enough:) I had the duck breast.. yummy but not too sweet sauce with it.
We really enjoyed this restaurant. The menu had a number of options and each person's meal was really good. I had the beef short rib, which was probably the best that I have ever had, as was, apparently my husband's sable fish. Daughter had the ling cod which was great. Our son had the rib eye which did disappoint somewhat. The seafood sampler was very good and the desserts as well. The restaurant is very well laid out with ample space between tables and there are a number of partitions through out the space so we had the feeling that we were off by ourselves which we really liked. The live music was lovely and I would like to go back for a drink just to listen to him. All in all, a lovely time.
