Exquisite omekase with wine/sake pairing
Felt the server could have been more knowledgeable.
Manager filled in the gaps later.
Thank you! Hope to see you soon.
It was one of the best meals I have ever had. The chef, staff, and manager were friendly and went out of their way to make our night special. Had the Ichiban Omakase with the beverage pairing. Every bite was delicious and unique and paired amazingly with the cocktail, wine, and sake. We will be back!
Glad to hear you enjoyed!
Love it there!
Awesome bartender! Fish didn’t taste fresh- icky!
Super patient and very well educated staff!
Thanks so much!
Amazin quality! Friendly peeps! Very attentive!😁
Arami never disappoints. Always great fish, subtle predation, and friendly service.
Amazing, amazing meal. One of the best we've had this year.
Food is great but overpriced
Love Arami. It’s one of the best sushi spots in this city.
Lovely space, delicious food, knowledgeable and attentive but not pushy service. Overall a great experience
Excellent tasting menu.
Tuna and octopus are your best options, salmon and whitefish not very fresh at all. Service was great and the mood was friendly.
Arami is the most authentic Japanese restaurant I've found in Chicago. I know people scoff at the prices, but when you want premium seafood you have to expect to pay a lot in the Midwest. I love this restaurant and even with their new executive chef, the food is top notch. The service is always impeccable as well.
Arami really stepped up with their new chef. They should be considered on a similar level again with the other top sushi restaurants in the city.
We went for my daughter’s birthday but it would be great for a date or dinner. We ordered a la carte and everything was amazing- very fresh , very flavorful. I’ve had sushi in many restaurants and this is very good. The rolls and the nigiri that we had were just delightful.
Happy that Arami has reopened-- it is still as good as before -- super fresh fish, high quality cuts, creative preparations.
Great. Highly inventive sushi and related Japanese dishes. Although I live close and can come here often, whenever I come here the food and ambiance make it a special event.
A neighborhood favorite that reopened for indoor dining. Everything was fantastic. Zack was attentive and very helpful with suggestions from the menu.
Unbelievable experience! We got to sit at the bar and chat with the head chef throughout the entire meal. Every dish was better than the next...Truly outstanding!!
Bad service for no reason. Food not as good
I took my bf yesterday and it’s the first sushi place that he likes in Chicago. (He is from west coast) We loved the service, and the food was so tasty. His favorite was chirashi bowl<3 I was so happy that I found sushi place that he likes! My favorite was otoro, scallops ♥️ Best sushi place in town!
Incredible experience at Arami! The service was fantastic and the creations that came out of the kitchen were a marvel. Best sushi dishes I have had in Chicago hands down.
Amazing food, upscale, pricey but worth it.
Outstanding! The food was great! The sushi rolls we had were delicious!! The service was wonderful! Our waiter and all of the support staff were extremely attentive and helpful. The specials, and particularly the dessert special, were incredible!
Arami was delightful. I picked this restaurant to celebrate my 27th birthday with my parents. The service was wonderful, especially Zach, who made us feel very welcome and helped make the evening very special. The social distancing seating was well arranged and still held a similar ambience as it must have in pre-pandemic times. Now, the FOOD. It was exquisite. The sea bass was perfectly marinated, the duck yaki soba so flavorful and rich, and the king crab sushi was melt-in-your-mouth heaven. And we got 3 fantastic deserts! Couldn’t recommend this place more, can’t wait to return.
We are happy you enjoyed your birthday. Thank you so much!
I loved Arami pre-COVID. I think it lost the spark which is sad. Food was still fine, but just fine. Not as great.
Service was a little lacking in the sense, things I would have expected at a sushi place (wasabi and ginger) did not make it to the table until requested. Those small things unfortunately added up.
But as I said. Food was fine.
Arami is my absolute favorite restaurant. The food is excellent and very creative. This is my go to spot to bring family and friends.
So yummy and wonderful service.
We ordered 2 specialty rolls and 1 regular roll. I did not know that the specialty rolls were $18-22 for only 6 pieces. One of the specialty rolls we ordered did not even have fish on top so it was pretty much a regular roll that you could find at a grocery store will some fancy toppings. I went here for Valentine's day dinner and left extremely disappointed.
We dined in for Valentine's Day. The COVID procedures were wonderful - probably the safest dining experience since the start of the pandemic. The staff was very kind and attentive.
The food however.....was not good. The seaweed on the sushi was so chewy it was almost inedible. There wasn't any interesting flavor. And the value was extremely poor...$18 for a sushi roll with 5 pieces with fried shrimp is ridiculous.
I wanted to like Arami but we will not be back.
What is so outstanding about Arami is the service. Our waitress was super nice and knowledgeable. The service was also quick.
The food was delicious. High quality sushi. I found the prices for alcoholic beverages too high, though. Also I wished there was a bigger selection of sake that can be served warm.
Extensive sake list, excellent sashimi and nigiri
Amazing food and friendly staff. Would definitely come back!
Food is great just on the pricey side. Service was great. Overall an excellent experience and would come back here
This was an excellent experience. Arami is taking the pandemic precautions very seriously and that was very much appreciated. We always have a lovely experience, but this time was really special because the partitions made the seating feel very intimate. The food was extremely fresh too!
Wonderful meal - this is a magnificent restaurant!
Amazing high end sushi.. went with the Arami Experience for 2!
Amazing social distancing and food. Felt very comfortable eating at this restaurant. They went out of their way to make an amazing environment
Excellent interesting sushi. Freshest sashimi. Table dividers, hand sanitizer and temp checks helped keep everyone safe. Excellent dinner.
