Came to hang with a friend visiting from atl. Decided to try something new. The belly dancer was a nice touch. The scene is very middle eastern. The club across the street had a more diverse crowd. The hookah is $50 but my friend had it by himself - I don’t smoke. The music is mediocre. They need more of a variety. Seems like they don’t know what crowd their aiming for especially since everyone there looked over 40. It wasn’t packed for a Saturday night. I think they need to appeal to diverse crowd and get a dj that can also play relevant music. The music was 85% middle eastern - fun but becomes overbearing after awhile. Would go back to try more food and because it’s really nice spot.
Great spot for a healthy option. Good for business meeting
Buona cucina e servizio molto attento. Prezzi nella media di New York
This is always a favorite place. The staff is wonderfully patient and welcoming, even with large groups. The food is regularly excellent and the décor very restful and attractive.
Enjoyed a Valentine’s dinner here with my wife. Service was great and the cuisine a nice departure from the traditional fare. I would have probably given it a five - but we came too early for the entertainment (belly dancers)! Loved the background music which was tasteful and not too loud.
The food at Arabesque exceeded our exceptions. Of note the appetizer sampler was delicious. I had the chicken cous cous, prepared traditionally and very tasty. Our busboy was new on the job and said so. He was very pleasant, but should have had more training. We will definitely dine at Arabesque again.
Great food and service order the meat pies and lamb shank with prunes.
Food was delicious, service very good and entertainment outstanding!
On a damp rainy night we were in the mood for an authentic couscous in the Morgan library neighborhood and arabesque fit the bill. The martini was a bit skimpy, but the couscous was just right!
The restaurant was almost empty on a Sunday evening so the noise level was quite tolerable and the food and service were quite good
Very fun evening. Good food, great atmosphere with a belly dancer and good Arabic Music. A bit loud as it gets later.
Great service. Everyone liked their meal!
Food was very tasty.
Omar and his staff could not have possibly been more welcoming and attentive. I found a new gem!
So much fun in the back room
Food was extremely bland, not fresh and very disappointing. Couscous was dry even the broth could not make a difference. Very loud. The best was the wonderful belly dancer.
We had a wonderful time here! We were a huge group celebrating two birthdays and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and didn’t rush us in the slightest. The food was wonderful and the ambiance was perfect for a girls’ night out. Nadia, our server, was fantastic!
Great food, pretty, quiet, nice service. Reasonable prices. A great find.
The food was unexpectedly bland. For this cuisine, we thought it would be more authentique. The service was attentive, but it’s hard to view it fully when you are disappointed with what is being served.
Perhaps a better choice for lunch than for dinner.
It was my wife's 40th birthday and we had a really good time at Arabesque. Food was delicious and the owner, Omar, and his staff made us feel very welcome. He was also very accommodating of our request to order a special Belly Dancer show outside of the normal showtime. Will definitely be coming back here again when we return to NYC.. THANKS
We were very disappointed with the food as we know what authentic Moroccan dishes should taste like. The Coucous was under seasoned and the sauce was tasteless. The Bastilla was dry and overcooked and the pastry was chewy not flaky. We found that the cost charged was not a good value for the taste and quality of the dishes. When we were told that the chef was Asian we then realized why the dishes were not tastefully authentic! As the food was not good we would not recommend eating there. If you would like to go there to have entertainment music and belly dancing and have a few drinks that’s great, but don’t rely upon the food to be authentic and delicious Moroccan food with tasty spaces where appropriate. Next time we will stick with the Byblos which we know is a great place with fantastic food.
A $9 bottle of wine for $46? Robbery. The really cool room is the smoking room. Explain that.
Highly recommendeded. Exceptionally pleasant atmosphere and service.
i loved Arabesque! It is a beautiful, unique restaurant that is fun, has great food and isn't as noisy and crowded as many midtown restaurants. It's a great choice of a restaurant in midtown.
The food was delicious, and the belly dancer was very energetic. But the music level when she danced was unfortunately, deafening. Just too much.
The greek salad and shrimp wrap were extremely good. The fries with a mix of ketchup and harissa are absolutely delicious.
Good menu with plenty of variety. Delicious food, nicely prepared.
Very quiet on a Sunday night.
I can simply say WOW 😍 I loved Arabesque! Great food ( I had 2 entrees), good beer, wonderful service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Definitely a place to return to.
A very enjoyable experience from the moment we walked in. With a friendly greeting we were brought to the table. The couscous and Tagine we ordered were memorable. The service was the perfect balance of attentiveness without being intrusive. I most heartedly recommend this gem to anyone in the mood for Moroccan.
I miss the larger selection of small plates but there is much to choose from larger well priced entrees. Always a charming place to catch up with friends as they never rush you out.
Warning even if you are a « big eater » the bastillée entrée is just too much for one person , share it !
I am Moroccan, my family owns Moroccan restaurants in France , so you guessed I am a snob when it comes to Moroccan food, decor, service, and yes Music (Moroccan ‘s culture is worldwide famous for all the above besides Argan oil and beautiful country) : Arabesque greatly covered all the above !
I shall be back very soon , great place to hangout with friends and families.
A special thanks to Monsieur Omar for a great evening.
A gem of a restaurant. Lovely decor, delicious food, reasonably priced, great location. Can’t wait to go again.
We went for a birthday and the lady (manager) was very unfriendly. She mixed the orders was not welcoming and not apologetic at all. The food was decent but the service was awful.
And, why should you pay 20% gratuity..!!??
Don’t think I’ll go again.
The mussels are very good, couscous was okay. A bit too loud, there is dance music that gets louder and louder after 10pm, a bit difficult to chat.
My colleagues and I often rely on Arabesque for business lunches or dinners and it never disappoins. Welcomin, friendly, excellent food, well presented, lovely cadre.
Be prepared for belly dancer and music at 9p on Saturday night
Food is great. Entertainment is awesome and the ambiance is excellent.
Amazing food and super fun staff! Really nice decor and ambiance.
quality of food bad, quality of service late and delayed, and price paid not worth it.
