After seeing all of the great reviews on open table I was excited to meet a friend here. We ordered the spicy hummus, marinated shrimp and the chicken entree. The hummus was extremely bland and the chicken has 5 small pieces that were over charred. The shrimp were our saving grace. Our waitress lingered a bit too much and seemed a bit judgey. Overall, not my favorite spot in Midtown.
Pleasant decor, comfortable space--and interesting menu, with some Moroccan specialties.
We love the sampler—large portions of three dips—and a serving for two was more than the three of us could finish. Friendly service.
The food is delicious and very well presented. Everything is attractive and appetizing. The service is wonderful. The staff really knows how to make you feel at home and never rushes you. There is something on the menu for every kind of diet.
This is one of our absolutely favorite places in the area.
The waitress Fleur was great !
Stumable across this restaurant my lookin for another... we decided to eat dinner here. The atmosphere is beautiful decorated... the Greek salad was scrumptious!
Food and service was great. Although we ordered tea while deciding on dessert but no one came back to take our order. The only thing holding me back from returning is the noise level. This is my second time and the music has always been unnecessarily loud to the point I can’t hear my friends from across the table. I think they can achieve the lively atmosphere without blasting music to the point where my ears are ringing at the end of the night.
I arranged a surprise birthday for my husband, unfortunately the host ruined the surprise by first of telling my husband “oh your here, you have people waiting for you” ... secondly when my guests sat down two chairs broke and they fell to the ground... I felt terrible for them... all chairs where wobbly. The manager didn’t come over until I asked the waiter to bring one, he wasn’t informed - he wasn’t very nice, he was rude and argumentative (a manager should be calm and collective regardless of any situation) Anyway it was a horrible expensive experience. I wouldn’t come back there! He didn’t ask my friends if there was anything they can do seeing as they fell on there unsafe chairs! Never again! I wouldn’t step in that place or recommend! Overly priced and hardly a Arabic menus - who serves risotto at a middle eastern place - my advice stick to the theme and change your management!
Excellent service, food was fresh and tasted great, and the ambiance was perfect. Would highly recommend Arabesque!
Amamzing food. Quiet. Great service.
Excellent like always!! This has been my 6th time visiting Arabesque I love this place.!!
The food was absolutely delicious and authentic! Totally recommended!
Excellent Morrocan food. The flavors are delicate and layered. We will go back.
Really delicious food, friendly staff, great location and great value.
A very nice restaurant with friendly and competent staff. Nice for chatting while dining. Food could be more flavorful.
A bit too expensive but lots of fun
Totally loved everything about this place. Highly recommend it.
Great food and service, romantic ambient, original interior design.
Food was ok, but service was very slow. Waited almost half an hour to order drinks. Food is over-priced:$8 for a side of couscous! They have a bizarre ritual of lighting a large, very bright magnesium sparkler for a birthday, and when it was brought to a table next to us, it totally ruined the ambiance of this cozy Moroccan restaurant. Will not return.
Family reunion - holiday dinner
Missed the belly dancing as we were late but the experience is worth the time and money!
Service is good but food quality is not like Barbes.
My boyfriend and I love all sorts of different food. For his birthday I was looking for a nice, but not overly priced place. The service was good, not too busy, and the food was delicious - fresh!
Great meals, large portions and very reasonable prices. Awesome experience. Definitely will go back...very soon!
All around superb restaurant. We are regulars because we like it so much.
We live in the neighborhood but somehow never got here till now; our loss! Charming place. Best baba ganoush I've ever tasted. Go, you'll enjoy.
Very accommodating! The staff was friendly and fun. The food was delicious. A great experience.
I was excited to go here because we vacationed in Morocco last summer. I was p[leased to find the food and presentation authentic, and woudl be happy to return
In short, the food is good and so is the service. They just need to coordinate both. 4 people waited on us. All good except they kept inquiring about the same things such as trying to take our drink and food orders.
The Tuesday we went the restaurant was not full so it was perfect for conversation, good food and wine. Tables are very close together so I can imagine that on Fridays and Saturdays it might feel crowded and a little noisy.
All that said, food was outstanding and authentic. Having spent time in Northern Africa and the Middle East, I can attest this is no fusion nor Americanized kitchen: it is the real thing. From appetizers to desserts every single dish was wonderfully condimented and expertly cooked.
Service was very efficient and most of all, friendly.
Will most certainly be added to my favorites in NYC.
Both meat dishes a little heavyly spiced but flavored well, the hummus surprisingly bland but great smooth texture, good fresh salad
Great little find, excellent service - waiters were really friendly and attentive. Atmosphere is lively and the place is stunning.
Found it a little off putting people smoking hookah either side of the table, but if you don’t mind that the place is excellent, highly recommend - one of my favourite finds in NYC.
I love this place. Food is great and the staff very attentive . I always have a great time..
Birthday! We had a great time
Nice menu but sadly, the dishes were way under seasoned. None of those lovely Moroccan spices we expected, and everything badly needed salt. No salt on tables. My chicken tagine with lemon and green olives had only four small olives. Food was a big disappointment. Should have guessed when we walked in to a completely empty restaurant at 730 on a Saturday night. Yes, we are early birds by NY standards, but surely if the food is good someone else would be dining too. What WAS great was the service. Very attentive and friendly server/front of the house staff. We felt this place was catering more towards their lounge crowd than their food.
One of the worst NYC restaurant experiences I've had in a while. The service was atrocious (forgot orders, fought with us over orders, waited over an hour and a half for appetizers). The belly dancing was entertaining but the food and drinks were terrible. I would find another place to go if you want to have dinner and a show.
Super cute restaurant with great food!
Great Service and restaurant was very attentive and accommodating to all of our needs.
Great find! Attentive service. Beautiful food. Fun atmosphere. Great music.
We had a nice time! Service was great, food was excellent, ambiance was wonderful. Will be back!
