Arabellas Italian Ristorante Ratings and Reviews
We went to Arabella's for my husbands Birthday. The food and service was excellent. The piano player was an very good and took requests for songs you would like to hear. Also the piano player came to our table with his accordian and played music as well as Happy Birthday. A wonderful restaurant to go to and very clean.
we heard so many good things about the restaurant and it met all of our expectations and then some. The service was fantastic, the food was as good as any New York Italian restaurant and I would not hesitate to recommend it to friends and family. We will certainly be back
We went on a recommendation from friends. Nice atmosphere in a historic building. We went for a late lunch(our favorite time to eat) and when asked if they served Veal Chops, was told that it was a dinner entree but offered to see if the chef would serve for lunch. I was served an amazing grilled veal chop, to my delight. We also asked if they had soft shell crab and the owner stated that he would order a case as he knew that we would return and that he could sell as a special entree. Dessert was table side prepared bananas foster to our delight. The wine list was wonderful and the prices were reasonable. I look forward to many lunches at our new "favorite" restaurant for lunch.
The food was good, but the piano player was worth driving all day to hear. His incredible talent made our ten year anniversary dinner a special one to remember. We were in Florida on vacation and would have made the trip just to hear him. He is the reason your restaurant is set apart.
We have been here many times over the years and we were always satisfied. Not this time! Service was the worst we ever experienced here, and the server was well seasoned. We will return as we like this restaurant and hope for a better experience the next time.
I live in Plant City and I waited too long to make the trip to Winter Haven to visit Arabella's.
So many things to enjoy, but what I really enjoyed is that the tables aren't crammed together like so many restaurants do nowadays. We were able to interact with our fellow diners without necessarily being able to hear their conversations while we enjoyed our meal.
Another thing that is falling by the wayside that we enjoyed at Arabella's is that the wait staff were all professionals who understand fine dining--as opposed to teenagers working an after-school job.
Wife enjoyed her Lobster Ravioli and the special of the night was an amazing Pork Osso Buco with Risotto. Fantastic.
They had a guy playing the piano and singing--he even visited the tables to take requests.
We will definitely be going back.
The piano player was great but a bit loud. Nothing we couldn't overcome but it was surprising at first. The bar, hostess, and wait staff were all very accommodating, considerate, and professional. The food was fabulous but the portions were a bit large so bring your appetite.
have been to Arabellas many times. Grouper special great. Veal was outstanding. Service tops as usual. Piano player entertained us with Gary Owen played on a special flute while at our table. Negative: Were first to enter at opening time. Hostess took us to left of door where there were empty tables and seated us at the worst seats in the restaurant. We were in a corner and looked at two walls for dinner. About 8 tables stayed empty except for one couple who were seated near the piano player. Our seats should have been for a late arrival without a reservation who was lucky to get in the door. No, our inconsiderate hostess placed in a most undesirable location even though there were no other diners present. . This put a big damper on what was a very special occasion for the two of us. Makes one think about another location for special occasions.
Have eaten there atleast eight times. This last time we went on a Thursday night. It was so noisy that we asked to have our table changed. The second table was just as bad. Never had this happen before. Food is great as is the service. Apparently it's become the in place to have a fine dinner.
Husband and I traveled from Tampa to visit Arabellas and found it well worth the drive. The restaurant itself is beautiful, the staff friendly but not obtrusive, and the food was excellent. The prices were moderate, especially for the quality. Had a great time and will visit again!
It is always a pleasure to dine at Arabella's. The food is excellent, as is the service. Our special waiters, Jeff and Mike, know our favorite wines and entrees. We enjoy the music and atmosphere very much. To tell the truth, we rarely go to any other restaurant!
Hostess was inexperienced. Even with a reservation and with the restaurant semi-empty, she offered to sit me on a table by the main corridor (I identified and took a better alternative). Menu is dense with sugar. E.g., the house salad dressing is extremely sweet. Why? The lamb osso bucco (special of the day) was not from Spring Lamb, and thus lacked tenderness and was stringy. Arabellas is located in an area with very limited options, and it's probably the best around. However, it can tone down the pretentiousness, better train its hostess, and drastically reduce the amount of sugar on the plates that I tasted (this was my third visit). Waiters were attentive and competent.
Special occasion was husband's birthday; dinner was January 11, 2016. Appreciated the $20 birthday coupon offered on line on Arabella's website! The house salad was delicious with the Zinfandel dressing. The roasted salmon was outstanding -- bar none - and the risotto was out of this world. The Veal Parmigiana was outstanding, hot, and quite a generous portion. Edna Valley Cabernet by the glass was delicious slightly chilled. Service was impeccable and food was served promptly. I would prefer the tomatoes in the Tomato Bruschetta appetizer be diced small and flavored with good oil, vinegar, and basil so they don't fall of the bruschetta. The oil pooled on the plate. Husband was served Crown & Coke when he ordered Makers & Coke, but he did not mention the mistake. We loved our fine dining experience in this five star restaurant in Winter Haven, FL, and definitely will return!
We were looking for a restaurant near Haines City which could accommodate a group of 8 and take reservations. Open Table gave us Arabellas as the best option so we made the reservation not knowing anything about the restaurant. Our expectations were modest and for the most part we were happy to have reservations for our group. The hostess called us an hour before the reservation to confirm we would be there and that they were expecting us. When we arrived, they had a table setup in the private dining room for our group. The setting was perfect and the wait staff was exceptional. The wine list had selections that would meet most everyone's needs and price point. The menu exceeded our expectations for a small town restaurant. The food was excellent and I recommend the Steak Diana if you are a meat lover. There was a pianist playing the evening we were there and as a bonus he played the accordion for our group. We will certainly be back the next time we are in the area.
It has been a long time since I ate at this restaurant and went back because of the excellent food and impeccable service.
The one annoyance was loud music - we had to shout at each other when we talked. The first time I visited here, there was no music and was more enjoyable. The music marred our dinner experience.
Arabellas is in a class of its own. There is no other dining experience in the area that compares. The authentic Italian cuisine is amazing, service is professional and unobtrusive, and the ambiance is relaxed and charming. Whether we come for a causal lunch or an elegant five course dinner, Arabellas consistently exceeds all our expectations.
