Had the roast chicken breast. It’s one of their best dishes (slightly under seasoned but still delicious) w Justin cab (fantastic) and the most amazing bread pudding ever for dessert (1 of the best I’ve ever had)

Several years ago we had a lovely indoor dinner here with family. The outdoor side dining experience with friends 2 days ago was equally enjoyable. Our server was Sebastian, who impressed us with his personable manner, attentiveness, and professional approach to our questions and banter— he was truly outstanding! The Steak Frites Aquitaine was most tender and tasty and the Creme Brûlée was a perfect finish to a stellar dining experience. Thank you!

The food was quite good - we had French Onion soup (delicious), moules en cassoulet (also delicious - the mussels were really tasty and clean), branzino (a generous portion, slightly over salted), duck breast (delicious and perfectly cooked, but a tad cool in temperature), and chocolate bread pudding (a bit dry). The service was attentive without being overbearing. We sat outside on the side street, which is closed to traffic, so we didn't feel at all pressed for space. It was lovely!

Apparently mix up in kitchen or maybe it was the waiter, I was served something completely different than I ordered. Was brunch so not a big deal. Ordered an omelet got avacdo toast. Waiter very apologetic took my entree off check. Waited almost 50 minutes for brunch so not about to send back . It was beautiful day outside and we had outside seating so still extremely enjoyable atmosphere…city energy.. If inside would have been a whole different experience.

The pitcher of warm water the waiter left on the table was in poor taste, he never came back to ask if we wanted more drinks or needed anything. The duck hash was tasteless and overdone, my toast was stale and the service was horrible! I will not be back!

I’m giving the service here 2 stars because it literally took 50 minutes from the time we sat down for our server to take our food order. We considered paying for our drinks and leaving. I’m not sure if it’s because they’re short staffed. So don’t go if you’re really hungry. Overall the food was good.

Outside is truly wonderful. You feel like you are at a French Bistro. It was lightly raining and the umbrellas covered us. Truly wonderful 🇫🇷 🥖 🧇 I will go back for that crispy french toast any day!

There were long waits in between when a server came to our table and orders were able to be taken. We waited at least 30 minutes to put in our drink order and another 20 or more to put in an appetizer and dinner order. We had to ask for bread. They seem to be short staffed as are many places right now so we tried to be patient and understanding.

When our meals and sides came to the table (4 meals) 2 that were steaks at $49 a piece, 3 meals were cold to luke warm, 1 meal was slightly warmer but still not even close to hot. When we let the server know all entrees and both sides were cold, we were told 4 times that was so bizarre because they just came up and were brought to the table. I told the servers to feel free to physically touch all meals so she could feel they were in fact cold. We were being questioned. This was upsetting because food doesn’t come out of an oven or off a stove cold, so they clearly sat for a while and no one was owning it and it felt like their response was insinuating we were lying when someone dropped the ball.

Our meals and sides were then put under a broiler or in a microwave to warm up instead of cooking something new. Doing this to a steak especially impacts the “wellness” of the order and can dry it out. This was disappointing with an over $400 bill. We were polite about it but heard some things mumbled as our reheated plates were placed in front of us.

Two desserts were comped for our inconvenience.

We’ve been to Aquitaine many times and have had a great experience previously. The wine was outstanding. Unfortunately, this time was disappointing but perhaps it has to do with the pandemic and won’t be the continued norm.

When you’re spending a significant amount of money, food should come out piping hot and never be reheated and as a person who works in customer service, customers shouldn’t be questioned or made to feel bad if they aren’t satisfied with their order, especially when they are being polite about it.

The service, ambiance, food and drink were wonderfully perfect. The restaurant carries a lovely French bistro feel which met all of our expectations.

We had a delicious dinner, sitting outside. There was an umbrella to shield us from sudden rain and big heaters. The service was very good. It’s the first time we were here in a year and a half and it lived up to our expectations

We had an outdoor table. Very pleasant evening. Service by the waitstaff very good and the nice menu options for appetizers and entrees. Food was delicious. This is a very nice place with good food.

I have eaten at Aquitaine numerous times; the food was always very good. The Restaurant Week was not particularly good. The clams were relatively tasteless; one was inedible. The shrimp dish was very bland; I asked for Parmesan cheese to add some flavor. The panda cotta was so-so. Cocktails were very expensive. I’m very disappointed.

We enjoyed a wonderful evening at Aquataine. Our server was polite, professional and friendly. The dishes she recommended were on point. Had salad and branzino which was served in a delicious sauce. My husband had onion soup which he said was the best he ever had! Steak and frites also delicious. Outside seating is plentiful. Will definitely return.

My bf and I came here for a chill Sunday dinner to cap off a date weekend. I had the sole. He had the steak Aquitaine. The sole meal was delicious. The fish was cooked perfectly with a crispy skin and the potato purée and snow peas where delicious. My BFF liked the steak, but thought it was a little under seasoned. He got the potato gratin on the side, which he said was delicious! Both of us thought the portions where a little small even for a French place. I would definitely recommend adding a side to your order, which only makes it pricier, but with the quality of the food, could be worth it. In my opinion, the service was the real downfall to the restaurant. While our server was very nice and knowledgeable, the FOH staffed seemed a bit confused overall. A few of them checked to see if our order had been taken, and it took 30 mins to get our mains when the restaurant was barely half full. Overall, the food was good and I might go back if I’m in the area, but probably wouldn’t go out of my way to go back.

Food itself was decent (brunch), but would love to see sourdough bread or at least homestyle bread served with the brunch dishes. The toasted bread reminded me of a supermarket loaf - something true French establishment would never allow. Service was very slow for two small egg dishes, but it could have been a busy afternoon. I would come back to try some of the regular menu or cocktails!
