We attended during restaurant week. There were only 2 offerings on the menu and they were out off one. They substituted the pork chop and it was very good. Service was very slow and they messed up 3 of our orders. it took approximately 2 hours for meal and the restaurant was 1/4 full. Very slow . it was disappointing
We went here for restaurant week and are Savannah locals. It was everyone's first time to Aqua Star. The food was fantastic and we all agreed we will go back. Great view of Savannah and they will validate your parking if you take in the garage, but valet was only $10.
This place was worth every bit of the $ I am NOT a Buffett person but their off the charts with fresh oysters on the 1/2 shell shrimp and grits and on and on

Everything was fine. Seemed like less food choices than we were accustomed to in the past, especially less salads and desserts. Having said that, it’s OK with less choices if hey are able to keep the price reasonable. Food that was there as delicious.
The buffet has solid food, and the live music is nice. Nothing is outstanding though. I would rather spend $50 at the Pinke House or another restaurant.
Celebrating my mother's birthday at this was an elegant, enjoyable Sunday morning for our family. Brunch options ranging from sushi to shrimp & grits to cooked to order omelettes and pancakes satisfied everyone in our varied group. Aqua Star staff was upbeat and attentive while the Jazz trio provided a relaxing backdrop to conversation. Our final treat came from the Banana's Foster station. Looking for another special occasion to celebrate soon.
Excellent as always. We come, often enough for the wait staff to remember us, but not so much to be predictable customers.
Food was tasty. Service was pleasant although a bit slow. Very accommodating with special requests. The greens in my salad were not as fresh as they should have been
We picked this restaurant based on its OpenTable reviews and seafood menu. Looked fantastic. They had a special prix fixe four-course deal for New Year's Eve. You couldn't order from the menu. The place wasn't crowded, so I was surprised that the waiter seemed to be lost. No food check, no refill on the water. He did refill the champagne glasses. The prix fixe special was not mentioned on the OpenTable site, confirmation message, or reminder. My $129 grouper was decent, but we surely would have dined somewhere else if we had known. Lesson learned. Hopefully, the restaurant will make more of an effort to let people know in advance. The table next to us expressed similar shock.
Overpriced for the food and service that we received. Beautiful view of the Savannah River.
We have been going to Christmas Day Brunch at the Westin for a few years now. And it has already been a wonderful experience until this year. The variety of foods and desserts was extremely disappointing. And not to mention the 35 minute wait for our table, that would have been more then likely 1 hour if we had not brought it to there attention. My reservation was at 1:45, we arrived at 1:42. and the maître d' said give me a minute to get your table ready. That was fine until it became 35 minutes. And they clearing knew we were waiting because I stood right there in front of them. And watched as other groups walked up and were seated. I could understand if they were busy and only one person attending to customers. But there was 4 maître d' at the desk. Then when we were escorted to our table ( a window seat that is never available) we could not believe the amount of empty tables. That's when we realized things that we used to love about this experience at the Aqua Star at Christmas time was gone. They had always made you feel so special. And not to mention the food with all there selections and the desserts were gone too. I don't believe I will be going back to the Aqua Star anytime soon if ever.
We have been going to the Aqua Star for years on Christmas Day. The quality and the quantity over the last two years has gone down dramatically while the price has gone up.
We will not be attending on Christmas next year.
Excellent. We had a great meal with plenty of options and enjoyed the live music. The occasion was Christmas Day Brunch. Very nice.

The restaurant was not aware of the reservation when we inquired. They did eventually find a place for us but by that point we had committed to something else. The brunch did look very good.
We went for brunch and were seated 130-200PM. This was the earliest time we could get which was fine except we were somewhat rushed since the food was removed at 3PM. The brunch was very good and the service was excellent. Aside from feeling rushed, we were seated near the jazz trio and it was actually painfully loud. We couldn't even hold a conversation...I dont understand how management could consider placing the musicians so close to the tables...
Everything was excellent. The food was out of thia world delicious. The view and the band was so soothing.
The food was the disappointing point.although the seafood selection was well done,the chicken and beef were as well.both dry and over cooked.the bread selection was very inadequate. Salmon and NO bagels.the cracker bread was stale.when I asked for some different bread,I was brought, plain white sliced bread.very disappointed. ..
We total enjoy the food , service & the atmosphere at the Aqua Star. We live in NC and look forward to returning multiple times yearly to Savannah staing at the Westin. We love their Sunday brunch at the Aqua Star. It is a quality set up by their great Chefs.
We arrived for dinner allowing an hour and half before show. After being seated and waiting 30 minutes for drinks to arrive, we learned that the kitchen could prepare nothing more than appetizers and salads in time to make the show. Overall, it was disappointing. This trip marks the second time this experience has happened. Service is slow. Kitchen is slower. I would avoid this restaurant in the future unless you have no plans for anything other than returning to your hotel room to sleep.
There were 8 of us. Place was basically empty. We had told both hostess and server we needed to be served quickly as we were attending a function in the ballroom. The bartender seemed more concerned with talking to the one person at bar or to walk to back of restaurant. Drinks never came early. While the food was excellent it took way to long to come out. And again the place was virtually empty except for us. If you're not in a hurry the food is very good. If you're in a hurry go somewhere else.
The service was terrible. Our water glasses were never filled, our napkins and silverware were in a pile at the end of the table, the bread was never brought out, the crab bisque was cold & congieled. I ordered a Caesar salad( no croutons or cheese & had a whole drumstick in it) We brought our kids 5&7 for a “fancy” dinner after the Nutcracker, what a disappointment. However, it’s a nice location & was beautifully decorated for the holidays.

The shrimp and grits not as good as the last time we were here
A terrible staff! Wait was 58 min for a half full restaurant. We waited at least 10 min to be seated with a reservation because the hostess was not there but instead was chatting with other servers in the back. We ordered a bottle of wine, 10 min later they came back telling us that they did not have it, so we ordered another one, hence, once again, we waited 10 min so they can tell us they do not have it. Finally when we had our wine, they did not make us taste the wine first but instead just the guy served us a glassful of wine!!! After 58 min of waiting the for the meal, the food came completely cold! You would think that at least if you are waiting 58 min for a meal to be served that the food would come fresh, right! At the end of the meal, I had almost to confront the server not to take my plate because the server did not understand/know the bon-ton rules/message from my silverware! I was shocked. This was expected to be a luxurious restaurant, but it is not! So I will never again come back here! We got 10 times better service downtown Savannah where the restaurants are not bragging to be luxurious.
Normally we have had wonderful meals here. We visited for Thanksgiving dinner and it was awful. Food was cold, not as described, they were out of food for fixed menu items, service was extremely slow. Would not visit for a holiday dinner again
The first two courses were wonderful but the dessert was awful. I ordered the creme brûlée but when it came out it was just pudding. The waitress told me the chef forgot the blowtorch! I ordered the peach pie instead and it was even worse! Like canned peaches in a dry and brittle pie crust. I was very disappointed.
We weren't aware the holiday buffet wasn't available.
We were very happy with the Thanksgiving afternoon brunch. Our wattress did an awesome job
It's is a very nice restaurant with a wide variety of options on the brunch. I can't wait until my next trip to Savannah. I'll make sure that I schedule the trip around a time when the brunch is offered.
