Aqua Star at The Westin Savannah Golf Resort & Spa Ratings and Reviews
Awful! We arrived at 2pm and there was slim picking for brunch. Many foods items were not labeled and sometimes there simply was nothing in the bowl (it hadn’t been refilled). I was in town for the Rock and Roll marathon and was excited to taste Savannah specialties, but there was nothing unique about the menu. Not worth $50! Brunch went until 3pm, but band packed up by 2.30pm.
Celebrated a friends birthday and it was perfect. The waiter was courteous and prompt. He even brought a slice of cake with candle and sang happy birthday that we didn’t request. The food was awesome and definitely worth the amount. We weren’t rushed and enjoyed the water views along with River Street.
I had always wanted to try Savannah’s Jazz Brunch at the Westin and it took me 3 years and my mom coming to visit, in order to finally try it out... I HAD BEEN MISSING OUT!! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was wonderful, and the scenery was beautiful. I also have to give points to the service staff. They were DELIGHTFUL! Super friendly and courteous. Trudy also gave us great advice about things to do around the area. Overall we had a WONDERFUL TIME!! We totally recommend for any ocassion.
Food is incredible Chef Paul has brought new life and food experience you will enjoy. The service by Cony is as if you are in your neighborhood favorite restaurant. Cassidy is all over the place to ensure the guests are well taken care of. Karen the new manager also is involved to ensure excellent service and stops by every table to ensue all is well. Congrats to all for a job well done!
Had high expectations for the Sunday champagne - jazz brunch. It turned out that the food was just average in quality and the ambiance was spoiled due to patrons walking around in gym shorts and flip flops. The lack of a quality meat on the buffet and a 2 glass champagne minimum indicated that the hotel was cutting corners in order to protect their profit margin. At $49 per person, the hotel clearly under delivered.
I had been to this brunch buffet once before in Oct 2016 and it was fabulous. Even for $44.
We loved it so much I really talked it up and made reservations for my daughter's bacholerette weekend. I was VERY disappointed that not only had the price went up to $49 is was HALF the size of buffet then when we were there in October.
I was so embarrassed that I had convinced some of our guests that are on a limited budget that it would be extremely worth it for them to pay the price just to have this happen.
I won't be back. It just wasn't worth $49.
I made reservations ahead of time and my accommodations were granted. There was a variety of food and desserts. The staff was friendly and very attentive. The shrimp and grits are to die for!! The view of the Savannah River was breath taking and relaxing. If you visit Savannah stay at the Westin and have Sunday Jazz Brunch. My boyfriend was very pleased at my choice for brunch. He said everything was worth the money. I will definitely be visiting the Westin and The Jazz Brunch making it one of my favorite places to visit!
The menu had many nice choices, however when we ordered our first course, fresh raw oysters, our server came back to inform us there were none. This at the early seating of dinner. She then returned to inform us that the bottle of wine we ordered was also unavailable. Sigh. However what we did end up with was delightful. Highly recommend the grilled Spanish octopus. The service could have been a little more attentive but was pleasant. We will come back our next trip to Savannah.
I had a wonderful experience. It was my birthday celebration with my favorite girls, and you mademad my day all the more special. We all fully enjoyed the experienc e . I can speak for all of the wo.man in my party when I say that we will return. .Thank you so much for a wonderful 49th birthday.
Made on line reservation for 5:30p.m., arrived at 5.15 p.m. to be told that they want be opening until 6:p.m. me and my wife looked at each other and kept asking the gentleman question (he was nice)and he said he would get the manager for us. He left to get the manager and came back without the manager and offered us a drink and we accepted. The sign at the front desk also said open at 5:30p.m. The manager never came to our table to apologize. The waitress was very nice and the food was excellent. Due to church, we missed the brunch and decided to take the 5:30p.m. appointment. Not sure if the over $80.00 meals was worth it.
We sat for ten minutes no one showed up. We went to get our meal, ate the first plate and didn't have anyone take our drink order. Caught who I believe was a manager asked if he could get us drinks which he did. Never got refills or no one cleared our plates. I went to get a crape and had to get one in a warmer instead of the lady at the station make fresh ones had to take one in a warmer. We where done with our meal with empty glasses and all our dirty plates and we had to ask another waiter to get our ticket. The manager had to bring us our bill. My quest told me dennys could of done a better Mother's Day brunch. Thank you for letting me know you don't appreciate my business.
My family and I booked reservations at Aqua Star for Mother's Day based on rave reviews from several acquaintances. Upon arrival, we were corralled at the bottom of the escalators to the restaurant with very little seating, and the whole check-in process was unorganized and a logistical debacle. Our reservations were at 1:15 and we were not seated until 1:45. When we were seated, we were placed not in the main part of the restaurant, but in a room that looked to be under construction with nothing but drywall and drywall mud on the walls. Our table was set for 6, while there were only four in our party. We were lucky as two other tables were placed in what looked to be a hallway right next to the bathrooms, with dishes that had been bussed from used tables sitting next to them, all with a view of the parking lot. Our server was far from professional, barely speaking to or listening to us. We ordered a second round of drinks which never came to us, but was given to another table next to us, and when we did ask for our order, our server quickly informed us that there would be a charge for a 3rd drink. Paying for an additional drink is not a concern when you are spending $75 per adult and $25 per child, which leads me to the astronomical price for this meal. The egregious price for this sub-par buffet, service and overall lackluster experience at this restaurant is obscene. We live in Savannah and we eat out quite a bit, frequenting many restaurants in the downtown scene, and this is by far the most disappointing dining experience we have had here. Sorry Aqua Star; we had high hopes and expectations, but you definitely did not deliver a memorable meal or experience.
