Aqua Star at The Westin Savannah Golf Resort & Spa
Outstanding views: by day the waterfront gleams with historic beauty; by night, the lights of downtown twinkle with opportunity.
Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Brunch on Sundays.
Waitress was great!
The food was amazing. Especially the Shrimp and Grits. There was a great variety. The mimosas was flowing, the jazz was nice and the staff was great.
I would definitely go back when I'm in the savannah area.
A wonderful spread of food! Great variety!
So many delicious choices, you will have trouble deciding what to eat! The ambience is perfect with the jazz brunch on Sundays. Enjoy fresh coffee, custom made omelets, and a banana fosters station while enjoying your river front view!
The Aqua Star restaurant is truly a star in The Westin Hotel in Savannah, Ga. The Hostess, Servers just wonderful. Real Southern hospitality charm. The She Crab soup delicious, the special Loin Lamb amazing with a perfect sauce; light and perfectly blended spices. The olives gave this lamb a great taste with out a boring lamb taste. Along with summer vegetables and finger potatoes it’s a dish I could eat often.
For those who love cocktails try their summer special cocktails. It was a pleasant dinner and Alyssa my server delightful. Always had a smile on her face and always came over to find out if everything was ok. Alyssa seemed to really care about the diners.
We enjoyed our stay at the Westin over 4th of July, and ate breakfast at Aqua twice. The service was great, and the food was good. Since we knew downtown was going to be busy we decided to eat at Aqua for dinner on the 4th. The price tag of 45.00 per person for a BBQ Buffet was high, but we figured Aqua would do it right, but were we wrong. The corn on the cob and the greens, tasted great, and were worthy of a BBQ. The luke warm brisket, the ribs, and the chicken, needed a lot of work. The service was slow, when basically, all you had to do was fill our ice tea and clear the plates. Bottom line, if you are going to have a 45.00 BBQ in the south, it needs to be done right. I hate to give it a bad review, when the other experiences with the food and staff in the hotel, have been excellent.
Best dining experience in the area. From the food quality to the restaurant service, it was one of the best dining experiences in recent memory. So happy for this gem!
The food was just okay and considering the price we expected something much better.
Menu was way too expensive. The items were unclear and sort of actually monotonous. Not enough selections and salad should always be included
Three of us had the tile fish. I thought that it was rather dry. I had the seafood pot pie, it was superb. I also had the kale Caesar salad. My first time with kale. I really enjoyed it. Overall a great experience.
Lovely wedding anniversary brunch
Excellent dining experience! Food and service were great! Monthly specials were fantastic - highly recommend trying them!!
It always is a nice dining experience here. Our dinner was perfect from start to finish. The service team was far superior than what I experience at other restaurants in the area. The food was excellent and they had an updated cocktail menu this time a Honeyrye buzz cocktail that was out of this world. We can’t wait to come back.
Awesome staff and chef , couldn’t be more accommodating! Delicious !
Awesome experience. Food was awesome. Parking was no problem. Friendly staff. Will definitely go again.
Molto Buono!!! The crab and seafood is worth the price alone!! The cowboy ribeye was perfect!! Patrice was an excellent server and the couple at the piano was a nice touch! We will be back!
This is a must do brunch!!! Highly Recommend going at least once!!!
The lunch buffet was half empty and took awhile to have things replenished. The staff and our waitress were very friendly and helpful.
$49 buffet- expensive but nice experience. Carving stations, sushi, raw bar, charcuterie and cheese display, omelets, full dessert bar with bananas foster to order to name a few.
I wish there were more vegetables, but the salad bar was great. The fresh fruit was outstanding.
Endless mimosas really made it worth the money!
It mentioned a jazz trio but unfortunately it was only 2 members.
Service was extremely slow, 7:30 reservation, ordered promptly, appetizers arrived at 8:30 and entrees at nearly 9pm. The restaurant was not crowded at all, maybe 25% occupied. The seafood pot pie had great reviews however we found it greatly disappointing. One filet mignon was extremely over cooked while another was very undercooked. Very disappointed for the cost.
This was our 30h anniversary and Sunday Brunch at the Westin. I found it a little aggravating that everyone with 11-11:45 reservations wasn’t seated till 12:30.
Apparently the staff or Kitchen was way behind so they maid everyone wait. So reservations didn’t seem to matter.
All and All the food was pretty good except the raw oysters.
The live music was very good. Cool Fans Through-Out the restaurant
Food choices were excellent. Crab soup was outstanding. Loved the option to enjoy smaller servings. Everything exquisitely prepared. Waite staff were wonderful. View superb.
We went to the OUTSTANDING Sunday Brunch!!! CHARLES & TRUDY absolutely made our Day!!!! So very helpful in everyway!!!! The food and bottomless Mimosas were Fabulous and Plentiful !!! The presentations at every station was So great!!! I tried (and Loved) several things that I probably would not have ordered from a regular menu..... It was Elegant like being on a cruise ship! Highly recommend!!
We arrived at the restaurant at 2:01pm. Our reservation was for 2:15pm. We were not seated till 2:52pm and then we were later on rushed to eat because they were closing and breaking down the Easter buffer setup.
Great Easter brunch
This was my third experience with the Westin Sunday Brunch. It's been about 6-7 years since my last visit and 15 years since my first visit. While the food is still amazing, the presentation isn't even close to what it used to be. I remember the display of food looking like art, and I was anxious to take lots of pictures of everything. This time, though, it was just typical rows of fancy chaffing dishes with a omelette bar, pasta bar and carving board mixed in. Comparable to most any other high-end buffet. I had requested a window seat, if available, when making my reservation a month prior. They DID honor my request. However, the window faced the rear of the hotel; as we were placed in a back corner, outside of the restaurant itself, and about 100 feet from the food. There was just one other table in our little corner. We could not even see the live music, which is also one of my favorite memories of this particular Sunday brunch. It kind of felt like we were an afterthought, not actually part of the brunch. That space should have been solely used for walk-ins, in my opinion, not someone who made reservations a month prior. But, again, the food is still marvelous. My favorite thing on the menu is the Shrimp and Grits. The chef once told me that it is his grandmothers recipe, if I recall correctly. It's a KEEPER. Next time I'll skip the brunch and just come in for that!
Our waitress Trudy was extremely efficient and very capable.
Simply Wonderful will Be dining here again, That’s for Sure!
Came with my parents for their Easter Brunch. You absolutely get what you paid for with a jazz trio, friendly staff, and great food. Will definitely be coming back in the future.
We went for Easter brunch with our 4 year old twin boys. Staff from valet to server were wonderful, warm, kind and helpful. Food was delicious, great variety. The musicians made for a lovely ambiance. Also loved the view, the Easter Bunny and bottomless mimosas!
Food was not the quality level expected at a Westin resort.very bland. Nice atmosphere.Average service. Food was definitely subpar.
We only ate here because we had late day massages and were tired. We were seated and were given water. It took our waitress 15 minutes to come to our table for a drink order and then another 10-15 minutes to deliver that order. There were only about 5 tables with people at them and there was no reason for such delay in our service attention. We finally ordered drinks and an appetizer and were planning to order dinner, but the service was so inattentive that we decided to not order anything else. We got wine to go and ordered room service, which was delivered promptly.
Condiments could be positioned near menu items, ie fresh horseradish near raw oysters.
Staff was courteous, engaging and enhanced the overall experience. Music was great
It is worth the $$ to do this brunch in Savannah
Had a wonderful time at the Aqua Star. They sat our party of 8 immediately with our reservation. Food was great, service was good. Will return to the Aqua Star the next time i'm in Savannah.
Had an excellent business lunch here. Service was better than I find in most 5 star restaurants and hotels, from the host to the service staff and management, everything was top notch. The food was just as equal, really nice healthy options but also nice southern classics. Will make this a weekly stop when possible! I highly recommend, my new favorite restaurant in Savannah.
Scallops were so fresh and delicious! I’d love to eat there again.
Our waitress was not as attentive as would have liked for a special occasion. Never refilled my water and had to ask multiple time for sugar for coffee and finally took containers from empty table beside us. Food was great but wish service could have matched
Too expensive for cold food
Food has changed and it was not what we expected. We have been coming to eat here since 2015 and this has really turned me away. Me and my fiance can to eat here for her birthday thought it was going to be a goodnight, but the food was terrible. I truly hope you are doing something to get this right. We really going to miss coming here!
A lovely way to enjoy Savannah, by looking south at the city skyline at sunset, plus a boat ride to get there.
