   Made a reservation, upon check in, was told it would be another half hour for a table to clear. Hostess informed that a text or phone call would be made to let us know when the table was ready. Never received any notification. Ended up getting food delivered to the hotel through Grubhub

    Went for lunch after a morning at the spa. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits and enjoyed. I ordered the Turkey wrap and it was boring. No flavor at all. We had a table by the window and loved the view. Probably would not go back with so many other options in town for lunch.

    Reunion with old friends this restaurant in the Westin turned out to be the best this long weekend here. We ate here 3 out of 5 nights and were never disappointed. Great food service and ambiance. Each meal was a winner.

    Granted is was X mas Day and pretty busy, the restaurant probably didn’t have enough staff, the quality of food was my main complaint here, crab cakes tasted old and fishy, chopped salad not chopped and mediocre Great Gumbo however

    Had breakfast reservations. Our dinner reservations cancelled at another location because of a sewer issue. The front desk lady (name started with M) created a place for us and we have a MARVELOUS dinner. Charlie, Kendra and all the staff were so kind.

    The noise level was very high. The pianist did a beautiful job playing, but it was too loud. Service could have been better. Main course dishes were served at different times, with a large delay. OpenTable and the restaurant did a great job handling the reservation; my special request about a table with the window view has been fulfilled.

    Sunday menu a 1:15 pm very limited. Still mostly breakfast items. Not a good Sunday location. Unfortunately Savannah’s premium Sunday Seafood buffet is long gone a victim of COVID. Added salmon to a salad but the size of the salmon was very small. Hamburger was fair, fries were good. The pecan pie was outstanding. Employees seemed to gather throughout the hotel to talks and wile away their time. Three employees stayed at the entrance to the restaurant the whole time we err there. Seemed unprofessional

    The was surprisingly bland and uninspired. Our server was exceptional and exceptionally nice. She recommended the short ribs which tasted passable but far better than anything else. The spaghetti for our 5 and 4 year old was just bad. They ate it but they eat anything. The mushroom ravioli was tasteless. The Manhattan was served with a cheap maraschino ( no Luxardo here) and the rye was rotgut. I wouldn’t complain but I’ve come to expect better from the Westin. Do not eat here. Very expensive and tastes terrible. We thank our server for making a terrible food experience tolerable. Her talents are wasted and there are so many fine restaurants in Savannah for her to shine.

    We very much enjoyed our dinner at Aqua Star last night, during our stay at the Westin in Savannah, GA. My friend had the entree size of the Tuna Poke, and said it was very tasty. I ordered the Butternut Squash soup appetizer, and the grilled Salmon entree. Both were perfectly prepared, and absolutely delicious! We topped our dining experience off with a very nice bottle of Cs Cabernet wine. I would definitely recommend this fine restaurant!

    We enjoyed an excellent thanksgiving buffet! Everything exceeded our expectations . Food, service and ambiance were all first class. When we called to report that the ferry from river street was not running they provided a shuttle service both ways at no charge. A very memorable evening.

    Made reservations before we realized they only offer a buffet on Thamksgiving. By the time we realized it... it was too late to make alternate reservations. $85 was too much for the dry turkey and luke warm sides. Disappointing to say the least!

    Server tried to bill for 18% gratuity and a large party fee. 128 bucks in tips for 3 adults and 2 kids? Nice try. Thanksgiving buffet was average. Poor starters , good entrees. Deserts worthy of a supermarket.

    The buffet for Thanksgiving was fantastic!! Huge variety of items (even a pizza, chicken fingers and Mac n cheese bar for the kids). Everything from traditional Turkey and ham to mushroom ravioli and grouper in Savannah red rice. So many choices and all we’re delicious! And then there was the dessert bar. We were stuffed but persevered, which necessitated our dinning our “fat pants” when we got home. I highly recommend this!!

    I have never written a bad review for a restaurant but I felt I need to share this for anyone considering spending Christmas Dinner there. We went today for Thanksgiving dinner cost was $214 for 2 people with 18% gratuity automatically added. We have gone to the Aqua Star many times for Thanksgiving or Christmas. It’s been awhile since the last time. Being that I had been there in the past, I expected to pay a lot, what I didn’t expect was the lack of selection. These are the main differences from the past where the meal was $10 a person cheaper. - there was no beef or beef carving station - no champagne or mimosas. Anything other than tea, coffee or water was extra so we stuck to tea. - the only chicken was mixed with a bunch of other stuff, so if you didn’t like ham or turkey you were out of luck. - there was no crepe/ waffle station. - the desert selection was limited to only cake and pie. I’m the past there was mousse, petit fours, crème brûlée and ice cream. - we literally only ate a couple of bites of food we didn’t like or finish and the deserts. My 17 year old daughter did find and ate chicken fingers from the kids table. The music was good but loud. For the price, this was a complete joke. The only saving grace was this year it was just 2 of us. If we had the normal 6 person group, I probably would have had words with the Manager. The lack of good food had us in and out in 25 minutes. We seriously would have had a better meal at Waffle House. I’m considering writing a letter to the Westin about this.
