Aqua Star at The Westin Savannah Golf Resort & Spa
Outstanding views: by day the waterfront gleams with historic beauty; by night, the lights of downtown twinkle with opportunity.
Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Brunch on Sundays.
Outstanding experience! Fantastic service and menu had nice variety. Will be back.
Food was good. Service was awful. There were only two servers on the floor, which is great if both servers are strong. There were maybe 30 people total in the restaurant, split between a five seat bar and five or six tables. It took close to 10 minutes for someone to acknowledge us when we walked in. Both servers walked by us a few times before we approached one to ask about checking in for our reservation. Once sat, it took close to 15 minutes for a glass of wine and a mixed drink to arrive. As our food orders went in, the service got a little better, but those first 10-15 minutes are so important, especially when the restaurant is costly and in a “4-star” hotel. Attention to detail is what customers are ultimately paying for. As a career server myself, I don’t like to drag other servers; My main gripe is a that a “hey, we see you, we’ll be with you as quickly as we can” is completely sufficient and goes a long way, and we didn’t receive that courtesy.
Food was 👍🏼👍🏼
Food and service were excellent. I met a friend for breakfast - I had eggs Benedict and she had the cracked egg sandwich - both were delicious. Our server was attentive without being pushy. Coffee and tea refills came timely. A+
Love this Sunday Brunch. We happened upon it last year when we came to Savannah and fell in love. The staff are super helpful and friendly. The food is amazing. We would love to see an addition of a omelet bar and waffle station in the future. We will definitely come back!
The host did not have a handle on the crowds and therefore allowed people without reservations to to be seated before those of us with reservations.
Everything was absolutely amazing. Food and staff exceeded my expectations!!! Best restaurant in Savannah!
Southern Hospitality at its finest! We love coming to this place for special dates- BRUNCH IS SPOT ON!! You have to celebrate a brunch that serves everything from charcuterie & cheese boards, crab claws/raw bar/sushi, ribeye/grouper/chicken/ to mini pies and bananas foster stations. The list goes on. Magically, the manager on duty, including the servers, knew it was my bday and had the jazz band play happy birthday! The best part, it was clear that everyone was working together and genuinely enjoyed their workplace which set the tone in the atmosphere. Had a great bday brunch and can’t wait till my next visit!
We went to Aqua Star for our anniversary with our best friends who were also celebrating theirs. Our table was decorated with Gold for our anniversary. The staff was Amazing-Our server Maycee, the Manager Nicole and the Chef (forgot his name) was just all amazing. The food was delicious. Amazing view of the river and the city lights across the river. Best anniversary dinner experience ever and we have done a lot during the past 29 years. Thank you Aqua Star for an amazing time.
Our experience at Aquastar is pleasant & fun!!
Excellent food and service. One thing I prefer to have the cold shrimp totally peeled at a brunch. I don’t want to remove shells. Dessert was excellent!!
Leah was a wonderful server and the food was delicious. So pleased the restaurant had vegan options!
This is the second time we have eaten the brunch and came away as thrilled as we were the first time! The non-stop champagne is to die for...the made-to-order omelets, breads, shrimp and grits, fresh fruits, fresh seafood, craving station, flanked steak, chicken, pimento cheese mac-n-cheese, veggies and chocolate desserts!!! We loved them all. Charlie the host was a delight and Holly our waitress was the BEST!!! Parking is comped if you eat there! Lovely view of the river and the jazz trio was just enough in the background. it is not inexpensive but we think it us worth every cent!!!
Outstanding experience, service was amazing - felt truly taken care of. Fantastic wine list and cocktails. Menu allowed for everyone in the party to find something they enjoyed - rare for us as picky eaters. The calamari was a stand out with the crispy okra. We really can’t remember a time we have had such attentive service, and with a smile. I cannot say enough positive words about this hidden gem.
Service was very slow took 2 plus hours to finish getting served. There were only six tables being served at the same time.
We went for restaurant week and the food was great. Service, however was not so hot. They did comp our drinks after 45 min wait for appetizers but then it was 15-20 minutes after they took our entree plates before desert arrived.
The people were nice but the good was just not good. Everything was overpriced and I didn’t finish my food because it just wasn’t good.
Great food, wonderful atmosphere.
Waitress was courteous. They were not super busy but food took awhile.
Waitress was great!
The food was amazing. Especially the Shrimp and Grits. There was a great variety. The mimosas was flowing, the jazz was nice and the staff was great.
I would definitely go back when I'm in the savannah area.
A wonderful spread of food! Great variety!
So many delicious choices, you will have trouble deciding what to eat! The ambience is perfect with the jazz brunch on Sundays. Enjoy fresh coffee, custom made omelets, and a banana fosters station while enjoying your river front view!
The Aqua Star restaurant is truly a star in The Westin Hotel in Savannah, Ga. The Hostess, Servers just wonderful. Real Southern hospitality charm. The She Crab soup delicious, the special Loin Lamb amazing with a perfect sauce; light and perfectly blended spices. The olives gave this lamb a great taste with out a boring lamb taste. Along with summer vegetables and finger potatoes it’s a dish I could eat often.
For those who love cocktails try their summer special cocktails. It was a pleasant dinner and Alyssa my server delightful. Always had a smile on her face and always came over to find out if everything was ok. Alyssa seemed to really care about the diners.
We enjoyed our stay at the Westin over 4th of July, and ate breakfast at Aqua twice. The service was great, and the food was good. Since we knew downtown was going to be busy we decided to eat at Aqua for dinner on the 4th. The price tag of 45.00 per person for a BBQ Buffet was high, but we figured Aqua would do it right, but were we wrong. The corn on the cob and the greens, tasted great, and were worthy of a BBQ. The luke warm brisket, the ribs, and the chicken, needed a lot of work. The service was slow, when basically, all you had to do was fill our ice tea and clear the plates. Bottom line, if you are going to have a 45.00 BBQ in the south, it needs to be done right. I hate to give it a bad review, when the other experiences with the food and staff in the hotel, have been excellent.
Best dining experience in the area. From the food quality to the restaurant service, it was one of the best dining experiences in recent memory. So happy for this gem!
The food was just okay and considering the price we expected something much better.
Brunch was fabulous! Everything you could imagine and more. Wonderful management. Patrice is an excellent server.
Menu was way too expensive. The items were unclear and sort of actually monotonous. Not enough selections and salad should always be included
Three of us had the tile fish. I thought that it was rather dry. I had the seafood pot pie, it was superb. I also had the kale Caesar salad. My first time with kale. I really enjoyed it. Overall a great experience.
Lovely wedding anniversary brunch
Excellent dining experience! Food and service were great! Monthly specials were fantastic - highly recommend trying them!!
AMAZING! Jeffery, Amy, Nicole and Kenyatta made me feel very special!
It always is a nice dining experience here. Our dinner was perfect from start to finish. The service team was far superior than what I experience at other restaurants in the area. The food was excellent and they had an updated cocktail menu this time a Honeyrye buzz cocktail that was out of this world. We can’t wait to come back.
Awesome staff and chef , couldn’t be more accommodating! Delicious !
Awesome experience. Food was awesome. Parking was no problem. Friendly staff. Will definitely go again.
Molto Buono!!! The crab and seafood is worth the price alone!! The cowboy ribeye was perfect!! Patrice was an excellent server and the couple at the piano was a nice touch! We will be back!
This is a must do brunch!!! Highly Recommend going at least once!!!
The lunch buffet was half empty and took awhile to have things replenished. The staff and our waitress were very friendly and helpful.
$49 buffet- expensive but nice experience. Carving stations, sushi, raw bar, charcuterie and cheese display, omelets, full dessert bar with bananas foster to order to name a few.
I wish there were more vegetables, but the salad bar was great. The fresh fruit was outstanding.
Endless mimosas really made it worth the money!
It mentioned a jazz trio but unfortunately it was only 2 members.
Service was extremely slow, 7:30 reservation, ordered promptly, appetizers arrived at 8:30 and entrees at nearly 9pm. The restaurant was not crowded at all, maybe 25% occupied. The seafood pot pie had great reviews however we found it greatly disappointing. One filet mignon was extremely over cooked while another was very undercooked. Very disappointed for the cost.
