Service and food quality has gone down in this place. Food was awful and basically looked like they got it out of a can or pre-packaged. Steaks were tough and tasted awful. The hummus appetizer looks straight from the supermarket surely not home made and the pita chips with the hummus look straight out of a package. My shrimp and grits was awful. Basically all of our food was low quality but high prices. We are Savannah locals and this use to be a good place to eat but it isn't the same quality of a place. Overpriced for what you are getting. I would not recommend to anyone to eat here, save you money and go to other places in downtown Savannah. I would have given it 0 stars if that was an option.
Worst meal I have had in a long time. They neglected to tell you that they weren't offering their Sunday brunch buffet. Misleading. Had a little brunch menu instead. The food was horrific, the piano was screaming in my hear and I couldn't even have a conversation with my mother while we tried to eat the slop they fed us.
Everything was good, just disappointing that at this point you haven’t brought the buffet back. Heard so many great things about it to get there and it not be available m. Time to move on and open it back up.

It seems that they were short a server and caught off guard with demand because of the weather. The food was fine, nothing special. My husband love his shrimp and grits. I had the gumbo, which was just okay. If you order the gumbo, it is listed as a small plate or appetizer, be prepared as it really is more of an appetizer sized portion. I was happy with this as I was not that hungry.
We're not dying to return here, but it was fine for what it is, a hotel restaurant.
We had a great table over looking the savannah River. Our server was friendly and attentive. The food was very good but the menu was limited.
This is a spot we returned to while passing through Georgia on our way tot he Northeast.
It never disappoints, even with COVID restrictions. Our window table overlooking the Savannah River was absolutely serene. The menu was a bit limited, but those wonderful Southern staples were there. My shrimp and grits bowl was exquisite and my husband was equally pleased with his shrimp creole. Our servers were outstanding, so much so that we left them what we have come to call a "Christmas tip!" We may try to catch this spot again on our return trip to Florida.
Meh. Went for breakfast and was not impressed. Service was too efficient (weird to say but if you know you know) and the food was undercooked. Choices for breakfast were limited and lackluster overall.
SO DISAPPOINTED. THE MENU IS SPARSE. MORE LIKE BAR FOOD. WE LIVE HERE AND HAVE BEEN HERE BEFORE AND EXPECTED A BETTER MENU AND EXPERIENCE. WE LEFT AFTER SEEING THE MENU. WE HAVE RESERVATIONS FOR MOTHERS DAY. WE WILL BE CANCELLING.
Charles was amazing! He made sure that we had a fantastic table and that our dining experience was perfect! We will definitely go back!
They took our reservation but weren’t actually open.
We had reservations visiting in April 2021 but still had to wait 20 minutes for a table due to lack of staff. The menu is very limited because of the pandemic which was not clear when we made our reservations and looked at it online. We saw pictures of sushi, scallops and other seafood yet there was hardly any seafood on the actual menu. Many of the items they did have on the limited menu were out. I ordered the gumbo which had no shrimp or okra in it as advertised, just mostly beef. I understand these issues may be a result of the current pandemic situation so I will give it a try another time.
Shrimp app was horrible. The shrimp were old, presentation was average and we ask for them to be removed from the table. The pork chop was over done and rock hard. My Family owned restaurants for over 50 years and worked with Marriott in food and bev for 10 years. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Service was quite slow. A chicken caesar salad had to be returned to the kitchen as the chicken was overcooked. The food was otherwise okay but not what we expected from the price.

Service was poor. Waitress took our order and we never saw her again. We had to stop people to get water and dessert menu.
Had Easter lunch at the restaurant. My husband and I both had the Duck Gumbo and Shrimp and Grits. The meal was very good. It's a hotel so ambiance was not great but it had a wonderful view of the river from the 2nd floor where the restaurant is located.
Our reservation was for 11 am and confirmed two days earlier by their staff. When my party of 8 arrived on Easter morning at 10:55 am, we were told that there is no 11 am reservation and they moved us to noon. Breakfast stops at 11 am and lunch starts at noon. I had two 10 year old hungry grandsons and told them that didn't work. They did accommodate us and served us breakfast This happened last year on another holiday. They changed the reservation without telling me. I like their food and the wait staff was great but next year we will go to the Pirate's House where they have never messed up our reservations! Management should do a better job at Aqua Star.
Where do I begin? We have yet another hotel capitalizing on a pandemic. Providing no amenities that have nothing to do with a virus. There is no valet no Bellman . No room service. And so the only restaurant on Easter Sunday was also a total disappointment. They had so few staff and those people were working like crazy. This was Easter Sunday and they were playing disco music so loud the guess who had made reservations there and anticipated a lovely brunch with family could barely hear each other speak. Any restaurant manager with any common sense could have at least put pleasant music on and turned it to a normal level. But there was no one to complain to there was no one to tell and the poor staff were working so hard to try to keep up. Online people talked about the beautiful jazz Easter brunch but when we got there it was less than coffee shop quality with about five things on a paper menu. These hotels are using Covid as an excuse to cut quality, staff, and amenities that the science says have nothing to do with this virus.
Very limited menu, only 3 entrees for dinner.
We were the only ones at a table. Only other people were 4 drunk guys talking real loud and swearing every other word. Took forever to get food and my wife’s food was cold almost frozen. Rest of food was flavorless. For what it costs you’d think the service and food would be better. Won’t be dining there again.

Menu was extremely limited. Soup wasnt worth the $12/ cup. Server was great and nice view.

The ambiance was nice and the location was perfect. Although the menu was catered for the Valentines Day occasion, we would have preferred more options. When I selected this restaurant, it was because of the menu selections. I was excited about eating scallops and sushi, and neither was on the Valentines Day menu. The waitress although nice was a little forgetful. All in all, we made it a great time.
Arrived at 5:45 and placed food and drink orders right away. Server brought incorrect wine to table twice and failed to bring three of other drinks until we asked three times. Food did not arrive until 7:25. Terrible experience overall and will not be returning for dinner at Aqua Star. Food was subpar and not worth outrageous price charged. Incompetent server, slow arrival of food, incorrect drinks and the list goes on.
The atmosphere was amazing. The service was great as well. We had a long wait for the food but considering it was Valentine’s Day it was ok. I would recommend this restaurant.
Great place for a date night
We went to Aqua Star for the special Valentines menu. It was delicious and paired very well with wines. Very decently priced for the experience. Would definitely recommend, and we will be back!
We did the wine tasting for Valentine’s date night. The service was phenomenal and the food was Devine! So happy we chose there to spend our Valentine’s date night. ❤️

Me and my date went here for New Year’s Eve.! It was a preset menu that was sub par and We paid $277 for one of the worst meals I’ve ever had. The Service was also terrible. The filet was a cheap cut. I ordered it medium rare and a shoe sole would have been more bearable. It was a waste of money for sure!

I arrive at the Aqua Star thinking there was going to be a buffet but it was order off the menu. When I made the reservations there was nothing on the web page about the buffet being cancelled. What a disappointment.
