We had not been to Aqua Blue for quite a while, but when looking for a place in the nearby area (to avoid long distance driving on New Year's Eve) we decided to revisit Aqua Blue.
The food options were good. One of our friends has Celiac and has to eat Gluten Free, and that was accommodate nicely. The salmon was very good, the short ribs excellent (but the root vegetables served with were "OK") and my friends' dishes looked good as well. They were out of one of the desserts (and we were early for seatings so it was not because it got ordered up earlier) and the coffee on the first round had to be sent back - it looked like weak tea.
The low point for us was that our very nice and very friendly waitress was obviously a heavy smoker and every visit to our table was just gross. I'm a former smoker, and I understand what that's like but when you're serving high end food and wine, please buy some Febreeze or something to use after a smoke break. It put a damper on the evening. The waitress told us that the restaurant would be closing for a couple of months for renovation. I might try it again on a non-Holiday just to compare.
