Well-rounded breakfast buffet!
Food barely cooked. Inedible
Worst service ever. The restaurant was nearly empty, but it took 25 minutes to be seated. The server couldn’t keep any details straight, and half our food came out wrong. After taking away an incorrect order the waiter never brought a replacement. We were still requesting our kids' meals after the rest of our group had finished dining. The waiter never came back to check on us after he took our order, and we dealt with the food runner and hostess. No one ever offered an apology. It was a shame, because the space is beautiful.
This place was not worth going to, the food was nasty, the menu was not descriptive at all, our order was wrong for all 3 courses, for $130 for 2 people I'd just as soon go to any chain resturaunt
.
Bad, slow service. Dinner menu wasn’t available because they were “too busy” even though there were tons of open tables. Just bar food only available on Valentine’s Day. We got the one drink and left for a real dinner elsewhere.
One of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. Service was poor and slow. We left after an hour because our food wasn’t served. Don’t eat here.
Waited two hours for food and then left. Service is horrible.
We went on Valentine’s Day.. not sure If there was a massive issue in The kitchen or not but took two hours to get soup and an entree. We also realized later on the soup was dished out of a massive pot by the wait staff so figure they just forgot about our table. Two other couples left before we got dinner (upset), and we believe one left without paying as they were extremely visibly and audibly frustrated. Food was surprisingly good, but my 5 year old niece could make crab cakes that well in that amount of time if instructed properly. Soup was super good just wish he could have served it out of the pot in less than 30 minutes. Waited 20 minutes for water and drinks. Don’t expect anyone gets drunk here as the service is very slow so, if you’re going to rage.. go somewhere else.
We always find Apropoe's our go to place for good food. Because it's in a hotel, people may not appreciate the restaurant. We had a Valentine's Day special for $50/each. The tomahawk steak was perfectly cooked and delicious! It had some presentation with the bone sticking out over the cutting board! The service was very good and attentive. The tomato soup was also very good. Will definitely go back.
Absolutely horrid experience. Especially for Valentine’s Day. We waited over and hour and 40 mins and never got all our food. People were getting angry and walking out. We’ll never return here
While the menu is limited, at least what is served should be of decent quality for a hotel restaurant. First, our soup was served almost cold and it seemed like the kitchen couldn't figure out how to make the salad that was ordered because the server brought the candied walnuts later to the table when he noticed it was not correct. The burger was okay but the short ribs were dried out and tough. The crab mac & cheese didn't have much crab but then it is not crab season this time of year in Maryland so it was probably some Asian crab in a can.
We stay at this hotel every month and probably won't try this restaurant again for a long time. We will walk down the street to some other options first.
Great breakfast buffet with healthy and indulging choices!
We had a delicious brunch at Apropoe's. I had the Egg White Frittata which included smoked salmon, chives, cream cheese, and garnished with fresh chopped spinach and grape tomatoes, so tasty! Hash browns on the side were cooked well, with a bit of crunch and not overly salted. Coffee was fresh and hot. Service was friendly and attentive. Great place to enjoy brunch!
Very very strange. Amiable service, terrible food. Sticky bar ware, dried out mezze platter (we were told it HAD been fresh about 6-8 hours earlier), poorly cooked & bland side hidden under a sauce. Nearly empty on a Friday night—the word had gotten out, apparently.
You must have the cream of crab soup, forget the cup, get a bowl!!
Food is good, service is excellent.
Their only issue is that they need to honor your open table reservation. They often forget to go to the reservation machine to check you in, So you end up getting a note from open table that you did not dine there, when in fact you had.
We reserved one week in advance. Once there, we were told the restaurant was closed for an employee banquet. We had to eat at the bar. Despite the change in plans, the bartender's dry humor was very entertaining; he gets 5 stars. The food was ok. I recommend dining at one of the many restaurants in the area.
My husband and I celebrated New Year’s Eve at the Marriott and had the breakfast buffet on New Year’s Day. The restaurant was very considerate and conscious of their patrons. They extended their breakfast until 2:30 p.m. for late comers. We were appreciative of their thoughtfulness. The food was also delicious.
Would definitely recommend and go again

Food was dry and cold. Server was nice but was very confused with all our orders.
They have a dedicated host stand, but rarely is there a host at the stand. I have been having trouble getting my OpenTable points as it appears that the wait staff is not trained on how to use the OpenTable booking system to log guests in. The food is good, once you are seated the service by the wait staff is attentive.
The staff was lazy and slow. I had a reservation and they told me and party it would be better for us to sit at the bar. The food was cold when it came to the table.
Breakfast Buffet was good. Service mediocre at best.
Definitely try to creamy crab soup...the only thing for me each time is that it is not hot and steamy enough but it tastes so gooood!!
Food Expensive, Poor Service, long wait fo food even though the restaurant was nearly empty, even longer wait for our check!
Food was fair, prices too high, customer service mediocre. Not very busy but took about 10 min before anyone came over to get me seated even with a reservation
Serviceable hotel restaurant. Food was good and the menu varied enough to appeal to many tastes. No much on ambiance. No bad by any means just lacks pizzazz. Service was excellent. Again, in a pinch and in the hotel, it works
Restaurant was freezing cold. Service was not great. And food was mediocre. Definitely overpriced. Do not recommend.
Awesome food and great service!
Food was very good, service was great and price for the amount of food you can get ( brunch buffet) including coffee and orange juice was great
Really easy when having a reservation. Not too noisy, good food, good variety and great service!
I came in with my mom, daughter's and grand daughter. We were confused about were to sit and there was no one to greet or seat us. I had to run around and find someone. Once seated the waitress was terrivle. She did not chech on us except twice in 3/12 hrs. She spilled mamosa all over my daughter's clothes and was very long serving us drinks. The brunch was very unorganized for the price per plate. It was my first time there and I was not impressed.
Scheduled an 11 am Mother’s Day brunch. Food wasn’t ready. Had to order from menu. Was very disorganized. They did comp some food on bill but not a very special day for my husbands mother. Brunch was overpriced for buffet any way
When I called to inquire about Easter Brunch I was assured that we could order from the menu or have the buffet. We were forced to pay for a buffet that was overpriced and disappointing. My family had Easter brunch here about 5 years ago and paid about the same price, but it was pretty amazing. Unfortunately, that was not the case this year. On a more positive note, the service was really good.
The food was average. The service was so terrible. We stayed at the hotel so we ate two meals here, breakfast and dinner. The seating is comfy and stylish and the views of the water are very nice. The staff here are rude and completely unconcerned about their guests experience. The reason for me to write this review is because the service we received was horrible with each meal, different servers, hostess as well. My only thought is that the management must be horrendous.
Decent food. The food is fresh and visually appealing. The service is mediocre, at best.
Great eating experience and atmosphere.
Great breakfast
I had fun. The drinks were good
Apropoe's is located in the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront hotel. We (a couple staying at the hotel) found the service to be exceptionally friendly and attentive, the food and wine all appetizing, and the crowd noise minimal. A perfectly satisfying way to enjoy a Saturday evening. The overall quality matched the other upscale restaurants in the Harbor East area, but at a lower price. The menu choices were rather limited, but that was not an issue for us.
Food and service was good. Very loud due to wedding reception guests at the bar, which made the experience feel like we were in a pub.
