Went for lunch - had a reservation. There were two of us. Seated in the very back room. Took our server about 10 minutes to greet us. We let him know what we wanted to drink and ordered our food. About 15 minutes later, we flagged another server and asked if we could please get our drinks. Our server finally came by with our drinks and said he just forgot about them. Took about another 15 minutes to get our food (a salad and chili.) We go here for lunch b/c it is close to where we work and there is ample parking. But service can tend to be on the slow side. Disappointing...wish they could get this dialed in.
For a meal on vacation, only going there every decade, it truly was a blast to the past. Excellent farm style dining experience, true home style food. If you love an atmosphere that reminds you of a country home, this is the place for you!
P.S: get the chicken and biscuits at lunch/dinner. You’re welcome.
As always, good food and great friendly professional service.
I loved this place. I took my family out for a weekend in SLO and we came across this wonderful breakfast find while wondering through the town. The people are friendly and the food is FANTASTIC! We're already planning our next visit.
Traveled here from Fresno with my our family and worth the drive. The hostess found us an outdoor table, great on a perfect SLO morning. The food, particularly the omelets and the chocolate pancakes, was excellent, as was the service. The restaurant is attached to a country store fun to browse.
A nice restaurant located adjacent to the inn. Good American food entrees. Very friendly staff. Nice bonus of $5 credit if you are a guest at the inn.
First time visiting Apple Farm. Place was cute and had a beautiful garden. Food was good but a bit pricey. Overall nice experience.
For Mother’s Day you expect every place to be jammed and apple Farm was. Had to wait an extra 15 mins past our reservation time. The service was good but the food seemed rushed out to us. I understand their need to turn over the tables quickly. But for $20 each for breakfast i would expect better. Huevos rancheros was tasty but chicken fried steak was bad. I would go back but not on Mother’s Day because generally the food is very good.
I never miss the opportunity to dine at the Apple Farm for breakfast. Since I don’t live in the area it’s always a special treat. I get the pancakes every time; they are absolutely the best pancakes I’ve ever had. And if you want eggs and bacon with it, ask for the Sampler. It’s not on the menu (it used to be; 2 giant pancakes, 2 pieces of bacon and 1 egg) but they’ll make it for you and it’s a bit less than going a la carte. And then the added bonus of poking around in the gift shop, upstairs and down; so much fun. Love it, love it, love it.
First time to Apple Farm, which is a local favorite for some reason. My mom and I had 10am reservations for Mothers Day and arrived a few minutes early. There were 2 people ahead of us waiting to check in. The hostess had 3-4 helpers standing with her while she futzed with her paperwork and the computer trying to assign tables or something. We finally got seated at 1015, even though the place wasn't very crowded at all. They sat us in the back rotunda room, next to a window that was boarded up for construction, even though there were 4 other window seats open... all of which remained open almost the whole time we were there. The waiter was nice, but didn't pay attention to our orders at all. We ordered a black coffee and a mimosa, he brought coffee with cream and 2 mimosas. I ordered my potatoes well done, they weren't. The food was just average, at best. I have no desire to return here.
Cold mashed potatoes, root vegetables were mostly onions. Gluten free burger was ordered with a bun and was served as a lettuce wrap. the meat in the strugenof was tough. One OK meal out of four is not a good thing. Waiter tried his best but manager never came over to our table
Love the scones and boysenberry jam! Very good breakfasts with a variety of choices.
Excellent food with a fun and relaxing atmosphere!
Excellent as always!!!!!!
Put on your eating pants! The food is good and portions large. If you’re hungry, this is the place to go.
Our server was very attentive. The hostess was prompt and friendly.
Unfortunately, none of us were impressed with the food. Between the four of us, we order the corn chowder, the shrimp/calamari appetizer, the street tacos, the prime rib, the reuben, the bbq bacon burger and the pot roast noodles (I think that's what it was called). My corn chowder was too thick and not very flavorful, and the same could be said about the prime rib. (The mashed potatoes and gravy were tasty.) The apple slaw on the reuben didn't work very well, and was the dominant flavor in the sandwich.
Lovely place, very nice setting, awful food. What can I say, terrible burger-probably the worst I have ever eaten. Nine was so sodden with grease it was inedible and the fries were repulsive
Food was fantastic. Service was excellent.
Always enjoy apple farm. On nice days love to eat outside.
Great baked goods and nice breakfasts. A bit pricey.
Pleasing and casual. We’ll be back!
Dinner excellent and wonderful service...the cocktail were perfect. Complimentary dessert Awsome.
We went for Easter brunch. Although initially service was bad, we were seated for 15 mins and I had to go find someone to take care of us, once our server became aware she had our table everything was good.
We had an enjoyable Easter breakfast with our sister & brother-in-law. The scones were delicious and there was plenty of food.
As always, consistent "good" everyday food. Waiters always friendly. Great Gift Shop.
We stayed at the Apple Farm hotel, and were happy to find that the restaurant had delicious entrees for dinner (and breakfast the next day). The servers were very good and welcoming. I'd recommend not sitting at the two-person booths in the round room, as at least one of them was drafty. But we asked to be moved and they were very accommodating. It's a pleasant place - relaxing and happy.
Meals were Ok but not very hot when served, overpriced for anaverage breakfast. Still a nice stop overall.
Went in for breakfast at 8 am with reservations with expectations of a quiet relaxed breakfast. Was seated right away by a smiling hostess. As we sat down we noticed we were put next to a loud table of young women. Our server took awhile to come get our drink orders but after that she was attentive. The biscuits were warm and delicious. Our food on the other hand was awful and arrived cold. Potatoes cold. Eggs cold. Glad I had orange juice to wash it down with. The food was pricey considering we did not enjoy it. Will not be back and would not recommend.
I had not been since the early 90's but, this was my goto restaurant when I worked up here for a job assignment. I would go for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I was on my way home with a friend from wine tasting in Paso Robles and I could not pass up The Apple Farm for breakfast! I ordered an omelet and she ordered the hollandaise hash something and with the home fries. The food was not hot and really had no flavor or taste. The biscuit and scone were awesome! I am hoping this was a one-time incident with this meal.
EXCELLENT IN EVERY WAY!!!
We enjoyed ourselves from the moment we arrived till the moment we sadly left! Great service, warm, friendly staff, beautiful decor and phenomenal food!! Really can’t say enough good things about this place!! Do yourself a favor and eat here!! Your stomach and your spirit will be the better for it!!!
We were visiting the area and looking for a laid back restaurant with good food and great service. We loved the restaurant and our server. We ordered mostly comfort food .. the pot roast was extremely tender and served with grilled veggies and smashed potatoes.... really tasty and a large serving. Others ordered the lamb meatballs and turkey pot pie. Everyone raved about their food. Highly recommend for the ambience, great food and relaxing setting.
We stop in everytime we travel over to the Coast. It's a fun place to visit and the food is great. It's the total experience that makes it a destination for us.
Our food came out at different times which was odd as a meal ticket didn't make it to the kitchen no accommodation. Was made for our bill. Additionally we were rushed by the valet who closed at a certain time. He dropped our keys to our table and told us where our cars were.
Our server Chris did a great job. Love the breakfast choices.
Ok restaurant. Poor wine selection by the glass. Servings are large, above average taste
This was our first time eating at Apple Farm. It was a great experience and would recommend the restaurant. The gift shop is fun as well.
Amazing food, great service. We went on Valentine's day and they even had a singing quartet to entertain guests at their tables
