Apple Farm Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
The Eggs Benedict was awful. The eggs were hard & the sauce had no taste. The blueberry pancakes had ALL the blueberries in the center of the pancake. The best part of the entire breakfast was the warm scone, the service & that they had Almond Milk for the coffee. The shop was awesome!
We live in the Bay Area, but love San Luis Obispo. We try to visit once every year or two and when we do, we always make it a point to eat at the Apple Farm. All the meals are wonderful and are like homecooked food. The salads are especially fresh and tasty.
My pork chop, highly recommended by the waiter, was absolutely tasteless and extremely overcooked. Also, the presentation of my meal was like eating in a cafeteria. The Last time we traveled down to Apple Farm was 7 years ago and I remember the meals were delicious. Last night was a complete disappointment.
This was a cross between Denny’s and Mimi’s Cafe. There weren’t any healthier lunch options, so luckily they were still serving breakfast. The meals were ehh...however, the BISCUIT AND THE BOYSENBERRY JAM was the best biscuit I’ve ever had. So go for the baked goods and you won’t be disappointed.
Stopped in for breakfast to kick off our two day trip to the coast. The ambience and the service were good but the food just wasn’t anything special. Two callouts on the food were the biscuits which were delicious and my wife and daughter shared the corned beef hash and thought it was really really good but the serving size was very small. The food overall needed seasoning. The potatoes and eggs were pretty bland. The ambiance and the store were inviting but the food you could pretty much get anywhere with bigger portions for the amount paid.
My fiancé and I decided to go to the Apple Farm for Christmas dinner. They served a traditional turkey dinner that included bread, drink and pie. We set in the gazebo room or “the Z”. Beautiful ambiance, our waiter James was really attentive but not intrusive. It was an ideal place to go for Christmas dinner. I thought it was a bit expensive for a regular meal but as a Christmas dinner. I guess I can concede the extra cost was worth it. No shopping, cooking and doing dishes for hours. We had a wonderful Christmas dinner. Thank you!
We went for Christmas dinner. Several staff were rude and impatient. I felt hurried to finish and leave. The food was full of sodium and we all felt like we were ballooning up in the evening. It was crowded and several people were talking too loud. There was little to no flexibility in the menu for the day. I have a son with autism and he is not very flexible with the things he will eat. The overall cost was certainly NOT worth the value of the food or poor experience. We will choose somewhere else in the future.
Usually this restaurant is outstanding. We dined there on Thanksgiving and while the food was good the service was less than average. After we ordered, our salads arrived in an appropriate amount of time but the corn bread never arrived. A few bites into our salads they were placing our dinner plates in front of us. It felt rushed and made this holiday dinner not that enjoyable. Corn bread finally arrived at the end of dinner after asking for it several times and the busboy delivering it to the wrong table 2 times. Suggest to the wait staff to not rush your tables and let your diners enjoy each course.
VERY DISAPPOINTING Thanksgiving. 2016 was so good at Apple Farm, we returned for 2017 Thankgiving. Terrible experience this time. Waiter seemed bothered to be serving us. The requested medium prime rib was very rare. We couldn't eat it, but the waiter was acting so strange we were afraid to send it back. The vegetables were mushy. The $40 dinner came with a sliver of corn bread- we asked for a second helping, but waiter said they were almost out so they couldn't give seconds. It was only 5:30pm. The soup was very good, but that didn't make up for the terrible dinner and service. Strangest Thanksgiving ever!
