Meals were Ok but not very hot when served, overpriced for anaverage breakfast. Still a nice stop overall.
Went in for breakfast at 8 am with reservations with expectations of a quiet relaxed breakfast. Was seated right away by a smiling hostess. As we sat down we noticed we were put next to a loud table of young women. Our server took awhile to come get our drink orders but after that she was attentive. The biscuits were warm and delicious. Our food on the other hand was awful and arrived cold. Potatoes cold. Eggs cold. Glad I had orange juice to wash it down with. The food was pricey considering we did not enjoy it. Will not be back and would not recommend.
I had not been since the early 90's but, this was my goto restaurant when I worked up here for a job assignment. I would go for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I was on my way home with a friend from wine tasting in Paso Robles and I could not pass up The Apple Farm for breakfast! I ordered an omelet and she ordered the hollandaise hash something and with the home fries. The food was not hot and really had no flavor or taste. The biscuit and scone were awesome! I am hoping this was a one-time incident with this meal.
EXCELLENT IN EVERY WAY!!!
We enjoyed ourselves from the moment we arrived till the moment we sadly left! Great service, warm, friendly staff, beautiful decor and phenomenal food!! Really can’t say enough good things about this place!! Do yourself a favor and eat here!! Your stomach and your spirit will be the better for it!!!
We were visiting the area and looking for a laid back restaurant with good food and great service. We loved the restaurant and our server. We ordered mostly comfort food .. the pot roast was extremely tender and served with grilled veggies and smashed potatoes.... really tasty and a large serving. Others ordered the lamb meatballs and turkey pot pie. Everyone raved about their food. Highly recommend for the ambience, great food and relaxing setting.
We stop in everytime we travel over to the Coast. It's a fun place to visit and the food is great. It's the total experience that makes it a destination for us.
Our server Chris did a great job. Love the breakfast choices.
Ok restaurant. Poor wine selection by the glass. Servings are large, above average taste
This was our first time eating at Apple Farm. It was a great experience and would recommend the restaurant. The gift shop is fun as well.
Amazing food, great service. We went on Valentine's day and they even had a singing quartet to entertain guests at their tables
The Eggs Benedict was awful. The eggs were hard & the sauce had no taste. The blueberry pancakes had ALL the blueberries in the center of the pancake. The best part of the entire breakfast was the warm scone, the service & that they had Almond Milk for the coffee. The shop was awesome!
Good place for a nice breakfast. A little pricey but service was good.
Food was prepared like it was for mass distribution. Omelet was flat, no taste and fruit was cut up in small pieces, and hard. No flavor. Not worth the price.
I remember the menu and food being better a few years ago.
One of the best restaurants I have found on the west coast. Great service. Great food. Great a date night out. Been there a lot and they have never let me down. I have tried everything.
Are wait Danny H was great food was good will definitely go back again.
We live in the Bay Area, but love San Luis Obispo. We try to visit once every year or two and when we do, we always make it a point to eat at the Apple Farm. All the meals are wonderful and are like homecooked food. The salads are especially fresh and tasty.
Great staff and excellent food! Might be nice to update the paint on the walls with grey tones, but leave all the wall hangings and pictures the same-would give it an updated feel without eleiminating what makes it Apple Farm;)
Love their breakfasts! Excellent and super friendly service with large portions of deliciousness. Especially love their scores, muffins, and boysenberry preserves.
My pork chop, highly recommended by the waiter, was absolutely tasteless and extremely overcooked. Also, the presentation of my meal was like eating in a cafeteria. The Last time we traveled down to Apple Farm was 7 years ago and I remember the meals were delicious. Last night was a complete disappointment.
This was a cross between Denny’s and Mimi’s Cafe. There weren’t any healthier lunch options, so luckily they were still serving breakfast. The meals were ehh...however, the BISCUIT AND THE BOYSENBERRY JAM was the best biscuit I’ve ever had. So go for the baked goods and you won’t be disappointed.
Stopped in for breakfast to kick off our two day trip to the coast. The ambience and the service were good but the food just wasn’t anything special. Two callouts on the food were the biscuits which were delicious and my wife and daughter shared the corned beef hash and thought it was really really good but the serving size was very small. The food overall needed seasoning. The potatoes and eggs were pretty bland. The ambiance and the store were inviting but the food you could pretty much get anywhere with bigger portions for the amount paid.
Ordered the banana pecan pancakes - they were amazing! I’ll definitely be going back when I’m in town.
My fiancé and I decided to go to the Apple Farm for Christmas dinner. They served a traditional turkey dinner that included bread, drink and pie. We set in the gazebo room or “the Z”. Beautiful ambiance, our waiter James was really attentive but not intrusive. It was an ideal place to go for Christmas dinner. I thought it was a bit expensive for a regular meal but as a Christmas dinner. I guess I can concede the extra cost was worth it. No shopping, cooking and doing dishes for hours. We had a wonderful Christmas dinner. Thank you!
Two of us had great meals; the third person was not happy with his prime rib - said it was tough, but refused to send it back.
We went for Christmas dinner. Several staff were rude and impatient. I felt hurried to finish and leave. The food was full of sodium and we all felt like we were ballooning up in the evening. It was crowded and several people were talking too loud. There was little to no flexibility in the menu for the day. I have a son with autism and he is not very flexible with the things he will eat. The overall cost was certainly NOT worth the value of the food or poor experience. We will choose somewhere else in the future.
The Christmas dinner we had on the 25th was fantastic. Everything was cooked to perfection.
Service was stellar. This the second Christmas dinner here and we will definitely be back next year.
The food was very good! Customer service was great and it was just an overall great experience
It’s a wonderful place to come for dinner. Every time we are in Sa Luis Obispo, we have a meal here. Also, I love all of the beautiful thimgs that they have for sell.
Love this place. It is a must if you are visiting SLO. The omelets, muffins, and French toast are delicious. We also love walking around the restaurant afterward as they have a watermill and an antique car.
The dinner was amazing!!!!
Great food great service
Asked for a table instead of a booth, would not accommodate our request. Booth was in corner by kitchen. It was very loud & uncomfortably snug.
This was amazing !
Delicious food , great service and great prices.
Usually this restaurant is outstanding. We dined there on Thanksgiving and while the food was good the service was less than average. After we ordered, our salads arrived in an appropriate amount of time but the corn bread never arrived. A few bites into our salads they were placing our dinner plates in front of us. It felt rushed and made this holiday dinner not that enjoyable. Corn bread finally arrived at the end of dinner after asking for it several times and the busboy delivering it to the wrong table 2 times. Suggest to the wait staff to not rush your tables and let your diners enjoy each course.
Lovely home cooked Thanksgiving dinner, but over priced. Thanks just the same.
VERY DISAPPOINTING Thanksgiving. 2016 was so good at Apple Farm, we returned for 2017 Thankgiving. Terrible experience this time. Waiter seemed bothered to be serving us. The requested medium prime rib was very rare. We couldn't eat it, but the waiter was acting so strange we were afraid to send it back. The vegetables were mushy. The $40 dinner came with a sliver of corn bread- we asked for a second helping, but waiter said they were almost out so they couldn't give seconds. It was only 5:30pm. The soup was very good, but that didn't make up for the terrible dinner and service. Strangest Thanksgiving ever!
This place had been recommended to us though we hadnt gone as of this time. We will return excellent food! Quaint dinning areas & Great service
Fantastic quality, traditional American food. Excellent, friendly service.
Love the Atmosphere. Beautiful decorations. Love the store
Used Open Table, but were seated immediately when we arrived/checked-in. Staff always friendly. JC our waiter was attentive, professional and friendly.
Great breakfast and wonderful gift shop. The muffins and jam were a delicious surprise! Will definitely go back. We were in town on a busy college weekend and were glad we had reservations! Definitely recommend the attached hotel as well. So cute.
