Apple Farm Restaurant
Food was amazing. I had the turkey with pecan sage stuffing and my husband had the prime rib. Both of us left very full and definitely wanting to come back. The next morning we came back for breakfast (we stayed at the Apple Farm Hotel) I got the ehhs and sausage with the biscuit... very yummy! The husband got county fried steak. He enjoyed it as well! Even our kids gobbled up their pancakes! Both encounters our service was great too. Very pleasant servers who went above and beyond. Can't wait to come back for a visit... side note we visited last year too and had the same good experience :)
My husband and I went to Apple Farm for lunch. We hadn’t been there in awhile, but used to go there quite a bit when our son was going the local collage.
It’s a beautiful spot with really good food. This time was a little disappointing though. We were hoping to dine in their atrium but we were told it was closed. They were also out of their chicken salad - really...for lunch????
Maybe it was just an off day? We will try again another time.
A good local restaurant with very tasty comfort food. Make sure you make a reservation; when busy. service severely lacks, as not enough waiters for all the tables.
My husband and I went two hours out of our way from San Francisco to Orange County so that he could have a special birthday lunch at The Apple Farm. It was a special place that we have fond memories of. He even stayed there on numerous occasions. To our surprise, it looked very run downed and the prices were sky high. I ordered a grilled cheese and it was $15.00. To add salt to the wound, they didn’t even sing happy birthday. The whole experience made me very sad.
My breakfast came with a serving of potatoes, dripping with grease, about a quarter of which were burned, charcoal black and inedible! The server said she'd "let the cooks know". We asked for her manager who apologized and took my meal off the bill.
Parking spaces limited and tight to maneuver around other cars if you are in a moderate sized SUV.
Wonderful food and service. Thank you!
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Food was plentiful and well prepared. Service was attentive and professional. We'll definitely be back. We stayed at the Inn, and the ambience, spaciousness and amenities were among the best we've experienced (I come from the hotel business).
We had a lovely breakfast here. Just a charming atmosphere and experience. Savanna, our server was so sweet and helpful. We liked it so much, we came back the next day.
We have had breakfast and dinner at Apple Farm Restaurant when in San Luis Obispo. My last dinner there was so disappointed. The stuff turkey in pecan nut dressing (I think that’s right) was very spongelike when I chewed. The slices of turkey were only warm and did not slice off when placing my fork. I informed the Apple Farm gentleman at the register when we left and was not given a reply of concerned from him.
The front desk staff was too busy visiting with other employees to bother to pay any attention when I arrived. The quality of the Apple Farm Restaurant has steadily declined in the quality of the food since I first started eating there some 30 years ago. It is a shame as that has always been a great place to eat. The waitress was OK and did a good job.
After checking in and shown our table we decided to sit elsewhere. Despite being somewhat busy, the hostess quickly found another table to our liking. After ordering (California Eggs Benedict’s) and enjoying our coffee our breakfast soon arrived. We enjoyed the breakfast and friendly service. Great place.
My wife has a food allergy and they took very good care of her.
The staff are super friendly and I would come back because of their sweet welcoming attitudes alone! Every single staff member was very nice and helpful with a smile! That is why I go to eat at places because I pay for the service aspect and every staff member delivers at Apple Farm! The food was also incredible! Their iced cider was really good!
We got breakfast which was delightful. I got the Hash Benedict with fruit and my husband ordered the Cowboy Sausage and eggs. We were both delighted with our selections! We followed up breakfast with their highly reputed Apple Dumpling. It was very large and we didn't finish it.
We sat outside and it was very pleasant. I would definitely come back here if I were in town. Parking is available the prices are reasonable and everything here has a quaint feel. It's very cute and welcoming! Come dine here, reservations are available on Open Table!
Service was a little slow but beautiful place and good food.
Good food for value. Charming restaurant. I wish there were healthier options - egg white omelette & chicken sausage or turkey bacon.
Not everyone is a carnivore.
Fun restaurant & gift shop, lots to see! Must try the Cranberry Orange scone!
I've always enjoyed the Apple Farm restaurant! Good food, service, and ambiance....
This is one of our favorite places to eat when visiting Cal Poly. Our table of 8 really enjoyed the food and ambiance.
Excellent service by Eddie Food was amazing. Would go back when in town
Apple Farm provided excellent food and the service was wonderful. It’s always fun to wander around and look at all the products that they have available.
I have come to the Apple Farm on multiple occasions. This time, the gazebo was freezing cold which required us to move. Then I ordered the meatloaf which was undercooked with red still showing. My wife ordered the fried chicken and it too was undercooked. The hostess did not know what she was doing. Apparently handicapped seating means being put in the very back room. Will not be back.
Not a good place for a handicapped person!
Food took longer than expected. We were waiting for our change. Our server forgot until we asked. Great 1st time visiting. However, most likely will try elsewhere when we visit San Liis Obispo next time.
I loved the scones. Purchased some for our road trip home.
James was fantastic. Great recommendations, great service and wonderful food.
The BEST! Food, bakery, jams. A must on your bucket list.
We ate dinner and breakfast. Dinner was very heavy, the menu lacked healthier lighter options. They were tried & reared American classics, nothing amazing and probably slightly overpriced. An easy solution after a long day on the road. Great service! Breakfast was much more interesting and delicious. Service was again great.
Apple Farm is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. I go there every time I travel to the coast. It’s a little pricy but well worth it. And i get great service every time. And making a reservation is easy. And if you want to impress your lady on for a great date. The Apple Farm is the spot. Order the Pork Chops (5⭐️)
We went there for Mother’s Day, 2019, and it was very crowded. I had made a reservation the night before which really paid off. There was an hour wait, but due to my reservation, we only waited about 10-15 minutes. My husband and I both ordered the crab Benedict, with potatoes and orange with cranberry scones. The food was delicious and I also had a mimosas, which was perfect. We were so happy we went there and enjoyed our visit so much.
Great place stopped there on our way home from spending a great weekend at the ocean! Good food nice ambience definitely would go back!!
Great food and service. We did not experience a problem during our meal.
Don't seem to be able to drive through the area or visit anywhere within 50 miles without making sure we make one morning or evening stop at Apple Farm Restaurant. Always great staff and excellent food. Definitely makes it a bonus when we're actually staying at the main hotel so we can eat there every day!
Service was slow. Items were forgotten, Had to ask for more water. Very Noisy. Food was mediocre.
The restaurant is warm and being updated - the bathrooms are being worked on, but have a way to go. The servers are pleasant but never refill coffee unless asked. Food is good, but prices are getting way out of range. Where they used to be considered moderate, the food is now over priced and servings are getting smaller. It's still a wonderful place to sit and visit over a meal, and the views are especially awesome.
Made a reservation for Easter Sunday morning and showed up 5 minutes early, waited another 30 minutes for seating. Was seated outside in the sun, no umbrella at table, partial shade from adjacent table. Long wait to order, long wait for coffee. No silverware at table, no sugar, no salt, no pepper. Maybe table was thrown together at last minute, it felt like that.
Solid comfort food. Pot roast was excellent. Service was courteous but lacking in follow-up. Decent value.
We arrived at 11:30am hoping to have lunch. we were given breakfast menus. when I asked for lunch menus the waitress signed and said lunch starts at noon. I said ok we’ll wait. Can we get menus? She rolled her eyes and said OK. 15 minutes later we were given menus. We ordered immediately. We were never given water or asked if we’d like a beverage. In the meantime, tables around us were seated and given beverages. They were also given LUNCH menus. At 12:15 I asked where our food was? The waitress said I placed the order as soon as I could. Not taking into account, 3 tables seated after us were already eating LUNCH. Food was ok at best. Due to horrid service and just ok food, not rushing back
Food was good but not great little expensive very cute place
Lovely gardens surround restaurant. Patio dining on our sunny spring day was perfect. We arrived early and were generous seated ahead of late arriving guests. Bakery goods especislly scones were delicious!
We had a great dinner experience at the Apple Farm Restaurant. All of the food was delicious and, when we had a brief wait for our appetizer while the Chef made a new sauce, he sent out a very generous portion. We were guests at the Apple Farm and in addition to our dinner, we also had breakfast delivered to our room that morning, and breakfast in the restaurant the following morning. All excellent. Would highly recommend based on the food and the service.
