Very nice restaurant, great food, great atmosphere excellent service. Priced like most Park City restaurants.
Us a nominal restaurant phenomenal service in a beautiful location highly recommended to everyone
Whitney was a fabulous server we were not disappointed. Elk chop was delicious. Side selections were also great.
We loved it! Great staff and food!
Definite must eat in a Deer Valley.
Very busy due to spring break skiers but overall it was very good. Just lots of noise and very cold because of doors constantly being open and shut. Family oriented and great for large groups
Great view, lovely atmosphere, good service and fantastic wine list. Apex markets itself as an upscale dining experience, which it is. However we were next to a table with several toddlers who were noisy. I would not say Apex should be family unfriendly. Maybe older children who can entertain themselves but toddlers no way. One way around it is to not offer highchairs or booster seats. Spending several hundred dollars on dinner in an atmosphere like a daycare setting is not good.
I had my wife’s birthday selebration and all 5 members of my family enjoyed very much the time spent in this great restaurant.
We liked the selection of wine, food and the great service. Our waiter and Sommelier been very professional by doing everything to make us to feel great on that special day.
We’ll definitely go there again and will recommend to our friends.
Beautiful dining room and impeccable service. Claire was amazing!
Every bite was delicious and it was quiet enough that we were able to really enjoy our conversation!
Good. Food was not great. Pricy for what we got.
La ensalada César muy mala, nos ofrecieron trufas y cargaron $20 adicionales pero estaban muy desabridas. El resto de los platillos, regular .
We had two tables of 8 and Brie could not have been a better server. Quality and value of the skier brunch can’t be beat! The Asian Noodle bar in the was buffet was amazing. Always enjoy our yearly visit to the Apex during the Mardi Gras Season! Be sure to have a reservation!
We go every time we’re in town. Good food and service
Would like to write a good review but no one in our party thought the food was anything beyond ok.
I have to give the food a "fair" rating. This restaurant is very expensive and does not translate into creative or particularly better food than other restaurants in the area. Dinner for 4 persons was close to $500 and we only had a 1/2 bottle of champagne and a 1/2 bottle of wine to drink. The ambiance was average and the overall dinner was not memorable. The lobster risotto was overpowered by the smoked cheese, the brussels sprouts were swimming in a too sweet of a sauce, the steak frites consisted of a very small portion of meat (about 3 oz) and about a 1/2 pound of cold tasteless large french fries- not crisp and finely cut frites. The filet was cooked perfectly and had very good flavor. It was my friend's birthday and they brought out an usual messy looking chocolate dessert for her and charged us $10 for this dessert. Given overall cost of the dinner, I would have expected a more attractive dessert to celebrate her birthday and to comp the dessert. Upon leaving, we felt that we overpaid for what we got. On a more positive note, the service was very good. I will not be returning to this restaurant and can not recommend this restaurant to my friends.
Beautiful resort, but incredibly average and overpriced food. The best thing we had was the Mac and cheese. However, everything needed salt. For two people, we spent over $200. Not worth the money for the quality of food. Service was great, however. Go during the day and soak up the views.
We came out to Park City for some skiing, Sundance and good food and were looking forward to dinner at Apex. The Montage is a beautiful resort in a beautiful setting. The Apex is a beautifully appointed restaurant with a great view and ambiance. The portion sizes for appetizers and dinner are good. The cocktails were tasty. The supporting wait staff was great. Where it goes awry is with our waiter and the prices. Our waiter was ok but not the most attentive and very noncommittal on recommending anything when asked. The prices are ridiculous. To give you an idea, the 6 oz filet is $42 and everything else is extra, even some horseradish sauce. Make no mistake, I fully expect to pay more for fabulous food, atmosphere and service and we often go out and end up with a $400 bill but this time around, the four of us split 2 appetizers and didn’t even get the a la carte menu, had a few cocktails (at $17 each) and still, the bill was $400. The food was good, but did not blow us away.
We went as a family for a ski week dinner. The food was good, not great. One tomahawk ribeye was very overdone and much of the rest of the food was good but unremarkable. The service was where they really fell down. Our waiter could not have cared less. Our drinks were frequently empty, I had to flag down another waiter to get bread delivered to the table, The wait between sitting and ordering, then for our food took forever and we never saw him, then the dreaded wait for the bill was terrible. We are a fun group, not demanding, and typically our waitstaff has a ball. Not this time. When they’re charging $1000 for dinner, I think it should be an enjoyable experience. Give it a miss.
Very good service. Good variety of food and very tasty.
Ambient and cozy dining room atmosphere with a view of the snowy slopes. The sommelier was very helpful and ready with a quality recommendation at our requested price point. The new steakhouse menu was standard but solid with many local ingredients featured. The only disappointment of the evening was the kitchen overcooking my $48 petit filet, a serious crime to be sure, but one I didn’t bring to the waiter’s attention. Given his attentiveness, I’m sure he would’ve rectified it by having the kitchen cook me another steak, but hey, there are people starving in the world and the cut was tender anyway. For next time though- Medium rare means a good deal of pink! Thanks for a great evening!
Service! Yum food. Views.
Sit by the fireplace on a snowy day.
Everything was very nice. We were at the resort at a very slow time of the year. I’m sure at high season the noise level will be higher. Hopefully the food and service would be just as good!
I have to say I'm not impressed with their new steakhouse concept. A 6oz filet for $42 with no sides and you get charged $4 for a small cup of au poive sauce that was really just ok? We ordered the asparagus to share. Again nothing special for $14 and a bit overlooked with nothing added...shaved parmesan, balsamic...nothing. The dessert menu was not very interesting either, we ordered the strawberry shortcake. Dry and again for the price...eh. I am a PC local and going out to someplace like that is a rarity so I'd like to be wowed...it didn't happen. I will say JP our waiter and the staff are excellent.
Our evening at Montage was phenomenal. Impeccable . Friendly and welcoming valet. The hostesses were lovely. Alexa the sommelier was helpful and knowledgeable. Sean our server was professional and super knowledgeable about the menu and life! We had a lovely time, and as it was my birthday dessert was the bomb (literally and figuratively!) We recommend the crab cakes, tenderloin and trio of frites. Everything was cooked to perfection, so cheers to the chefs!!! Thank you for a wonderful experience.
A great place to celebrate a milestone birthday.
Good food, but not great. Great is what you expect at a restaurant in this price range.
We had a table for 7. I believe the restaurant had recently converted to a steak house and it definitely had its kinks. The scallop appetizer, sides (potato's au gratin, asparagus) and two of the steaks were all way under cooked. We ordered Medium and they came raw in the middle...sent them back. They returned almost like we sent them. It was obvious the chef had zero experience on cooking steaks. Trust me, I am not a picky eater but for a meal that cost $600 it needed to be fixed. It was our last night in Park City, UT. We wanted to have a special evening before the family goes its separate ways (KS, TN, MI). It was a bummer way to end the vacation.
This restaurant is a disservice to this beautiful mountain resort. I hope they correct it quickly.
For the price, the food was subpar. Wine selection was small, with not many good options in my opinion.
The restaurant was way overpriced for the quality of the food and service.
Great lunch on the patio after a hike. Food, service & views were incredible.
The drive to the hotel was one of the best parts. Beautiful! Free valet parking. The food was a bit pricey but delicious! I can't remember the name of it, but there was a chocolate dessert with ice cream that was just beautiful, creative, and delicious.
My family of 4 attended for Mother's Day brunch. I booked table at Apex, but we were seated in the more casual Burger's and Bourbon room. Buffet was crowded, waiters were coming and going out of the kitchen and nearly collided with diners on their way into the buffet room. Table and place mats were dirty when we sat down. Our waiter took our drink order and didn't mention anything about the food or how buffet worked, I had to ask. Drinks took a long time to come. Buffet was lovely and food very good but would not recommend attending on a crowded day like Mothers Day. Not the best ambience. For the prices Montage charges ($60 p/person for buffet) I felt a little disappointed.
Amazing food for the Easter brunch. Fewer choices than the buffet at Grand America, but every option was a cut above. Amazing staff! Happy, helpful, personal. We will definitely be going back!
Went for Easter Brunch because Stein's was all booked (of course). I always wanted to eat at Apex because I adore the Montage setting - so beautiful: the lobby, lounge, decks, views both slopeside and valley and the restaurant shows beautifully in the photos. My son asked me was this, at one time, someone's home?
The service in every capacity: valet, hostess, waiter, carvery etc is above reproach. Montage, and all of Deer Valley, know the meaning of gracious customer service. When you meet the occasional rude or indifferent employee it is really jarring after the constant pampering and attention to your needs.
All these positives aside... the brunch has areas it could be significantly improved: overcooked eggs benedict (i want a runny yolk), easter desserts that looked better than they tasted, soup was not hot, most food was cold by the time you got to your table. I recommend some special cocktails for the holidays. So I wanted to rave but just cannot.
We had Easter brunch here. The food is very good. It's not as huge of a selection as the other famous brunch at Deer Valley, but the quality of the items offered is great with some creative options. It's also a little less expensive than that other famous brunch place.
Beautiful location (how could it not be - it's Deer Valley) and the staff is really friendly and attentive.
I have never eaten here for a regular meal, but I think that this was well worth the price ($55 per person) for Easter brunch.
Jumbo shrimp cocktail, beef tenderloin, salmon and more......delicious! The pastry chef made exceptional desserts for Easter brunch. Cute and delicious!
Wine and food was very good. The desserts were okay but not the same caliber as the meal.
Celebrated our 10 year anniversary, we had a lovely time.
The pasta was undercooked and overpriced.
Small portions, high prices, and a wait staff that wouldn't shut up... seriously, the guy insisted on not just reading the whole menu to us, but then explaining what everything was. The best part was when a couple sat down at the table next to ours and we got to listen to it all again. The food was good, but you're better off going downtown. Try cafe terino on Main Street.
