Apex at Montage Deer Valley
Overall good experience disappointed the menu went more steak based. Filet was fair.
Excellent service!
Food great
Incredible view
Beautiful place and ambience
Wonderful atmosphere and excellent and attentive service. My steak was cooked exactly as I had asked.
It was 10 minutes after our seating when we finally had a server. It took us 1 hour and 40 minutes to get our meal. The service was extremely lackluster. This is the 4th time I’ve dined there but certainly the last. Too many other good choices in Park city to waste your time at APEX.
Beautiful place, exceptional attention to table but food was subpar especially for the price. Wasn’t impressed.
The food was only mediocre and very bland for an expensive restaurant
We came to Apex for a birthday dinner. When the appetizers arrived there was a huge piece of plastic in the crab cake. The wine we ordered was not was delivered but we were still charged the higher price. Our waiter was clearly embarrassed by the lack of care or concern from the manager. The main courses were fair but not what you would expect from a 5 star hotel.
IT was just great, from the beginning to the end. The hanger steak is absolutely something to try there. Oh, so tender.
Everything was delicious! The atmosphere was perfect and everyone loved their food!!
Had dinner on a slow, quiet night. The staff was uber-professional and helpful. Matt was our great waiter with Jose keeping our water glasses topped off. The food was excellent - I had the NY Striploin and my wife had the Tomahawk Pork Chop. The side of mac-n-cheese was among the best we have ever had. We were too full for dessert but decided to take a piece of carrot cake to go. That was a great decision. It was huge and we had dessert for three days!
At the very top of our list of favorites in the area. Always great, always leave happy.
Sorry but the atmosphere just feels old, cold, the fire hidden by one table, no color, temperature is cold. Stuffy and dowdy. Birthday dinner, first asked for no truffle on fries, came with truffle, sent it back and the steak came back cold and rare, our daughter asked for med. rare, and fries had no salt. Sent It back once more. Only one waiter, he was awesome, gave us dessert and corkage due to the steak issue. Hot brownie sundae, no hot fudge, only a little Carmel, cold brownie pieces, just a disappointment all around when expecting a sundae. The appetizers (except salad) were very good and our Halibut was excellent. Just over all not a place we would visit again.
It’s delicious. Great service. Excellent Caesar. Excellent steak. Lovely ambiance. Beautiful lit trees outfront. Worth the trip.
APEX is a nice setting inside the Montage with exquisitely prepared food and superior service. A great wine list and sommelier. Lamb was perfectly prepared and a real treat.
Would have given more stars but the hostess sat a couple with a baby and a small child who did not belong in a fine dining establishment next to us and they pretty much ruined our dinner with their screaming and loud noises. They ordered hamburgers instead of going to the Burger and Whiskey dining room that offered hamburgers on the menu.
The resort itself is very nice. But I am not that fascinated by the taste of food and the ambiance. Also it was very expensive. For a single appetizer and 2 entrees it cost me almost $180. I would rather visit the roof top restaurant at SLC. But the service was outstanding. It's a good restaurant for a high end business meeting.
Amazing food. Great Service. Good wine selection
Absolutely stunning views and delicious food. The service was also impeccable. My only complaint was that my steak was slightly overdone.
Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food (a little pricey) but the service was great. We will return!
Great food, well prepared with wonderful flavor. Nice views from restaurant.
Our second time at Apex. We love that they have a printed vegan menu and that is a big reason we came back after our first visit last November. The food was again, very good, just lacking in a little flavor this time. Especially the spicy tofu noodle salad-would have benefitted from fresh herbs and salt - and the mushroom risotto could have used some salt as well. However, the crusty bread, amazing olive oil, sorbet sampler for dessert and sommelier’s wine recommendations won us over-we will be back. Perfect for a romantic dinner while on stay-cation.
We went for Mother's Day brunch and it was very nice. The service was great from the time we valet parked the car. Very friendly attendants. The brunch food looked beautiful and tasted amazing too. The pastry chef did an amazing job. The desserts looked to beautiful to eat, but we did and they were delicious! I assumed the mimosas would be included in brunch price, but were not. That was a little disappointing, but the options for the mimosas was good, but the price was high.
We would definitely go there again for brunch.
Easter Brunch
Very nice restaurant, great food, great atmosphere excellent service. Priced like most Park City restaurants.
Us a nominal restaurant phenomenal service in a beautiful location highly recommended to everyone
Whitney was a fabulous server we were not disappointed. Elk chop was delicious. Side selections were also great.
We loved it! Great staff and food!
Definite must eat in a Deer Valley.
Very busy due to spring break skiers but overall it was very good. Just lots of noise and very cold because of doors constantly being open and shut. Family oriented and great for large groups
Great view, lovely atmosphere, good service and fantastic wine list. Apex markets itself as an upscale dining experience, which it is. However we were next to a table with several toddlers who were noisy. I would not say Apex should be family unfriendly. Maybe older children who can entertain themselves but toddlers no way. One way around it is to not offer highchairs or booster seats. Spending several hundred dollars on dinner in an atmosphere like a daycare setting is not good.
I had my wife’s birthday selebration and all 5 members of my family enjoyed very much the time spent in this great restaurant.
We liked the selection of wine, food and the great service. Our waiter and Sommelier been very professional by doing everything to make us to feel great on that special day.
We’ll definitely go there again and will recommend to our friends.
Thank you.
Beautiful dining room and impeccable service. Claire was amazing!
Every bite was delicious and it was quiet enough that we were able to really enjoy our conversation!
Good. Food was not great. Pricy for what we got.
La ensalada César muy mala, nos ofrecieron trufas y cargaron $20 adicionales pero estaban muy desabridas. El resto de los platillos, regular .
We had two tables of 8 and Brie could not have been a better server. Quality and value of the skier brunch can’t be beat! The Asian Noodle bar in the was buffet was amazing. Always enjoy our yearly visit to the Apex during the Mardi Gras Season! Be sure to have a reservation!
We go every time we’re in town. Good food and service
Would like to write a good review but no one in our party thought the food was anything beyond ok.
I have to give the food a "fair" rating. This restaurant is very expensive and does not translate into creative or particularly better food than other restaurants in the area. Dinner for 4 persons was close to $500 and we only had a 1/2 bottle of champagne and a 1/2 bottle of wine to drink. The ambiance was average and the overall dinner was not memorable. The lobster risotto was overpowered by the smoked cheese, the brussels sprouts were swimming in a too sweet of a sauce, the steak frites consisted of a very small portion of meat (about 3 oz) and about a 1/2 pound of cold tasteless large french fries- not crisp and finely cut frites. The filet was cooked perfectly and had very good flavor. It was my friend's birthday and they brought out an usual messy looking chocolate dessert for her and charged us $10 for this dessert. Given overall cost of the dinner, I would have expected a more attractive dessert to celebrate her birthday and to comp the dessert. Upon leaving, we felt that we overpaid for what we got. On a more positive note, the service was very good. I will not be returning to this restaurant and can not recommend this restaurant to my friends.
Beautiful resort, but incredibly average and overpriced food. The best thing we had was the Mac and cheese. However, everything needed salt. For two people, we spent over $200. Not worth the money for the quality of food. Service was great, however. Go during the day and soak up the views.
We came out to Park City for some skiing, Sundance and good food and were looking forward to dinner at Apex. The Montage is a beautiful resort in a beautiful setting. The Apex is a beautifully appointed restaurant with a great view and ambiance. The portion sizes for appetizers and dinner are good. The cocktails were tasty. The supporting wait staff was great. Where it goes awry is with our waiter and the prices. Our waiter was ok but not the most attentive and very noncommittal on recommending anything when asked. The prices are ridiculous. To give you an idea, the 6 oz filet is $42 and everything else is extra, even some horseradish sauce. Make no mistake, I fully expect to pay more for fabulous food, atmosphere and service and we often go out and end up with a $400 bill but this time around, the four of us split 2 appetizers and didn’t even get the a la carte menu, had a few cocktails (at $17 each) and still, the bill was $400. The food was good, but did not blow us away.
We went as a family for a ski week dinner. The food was good, not great. One tomahawk ribeye was very overdone and much of the rest of the food was good but unremarkable. The service was where they really fell down. Our waiter could not have cared less. Our drinks were frequently empty, I had to flag down another waiter to get bread delivered to the table, The wait between sitting and ordering, then for our food took forever and we never saw him, then the dreaded wait for the bill was terrible. We are a fun group, not demanding, and typically our waitstaff has a ball. Not this time. When they’re charging $1000 for dinner, I think it should be an enjoyable experience. Give it a miss.
Very good service. Good variety of food and very tasty.
