I absolutely loved this place. The setting, the feel, and the food was amazing. The staff was great and attentive. Will definitely be coming here again!
The food was wonderful but the manager want great. When we asked for a spoon for our mussels his comment was something about being to busy worry about a spoon!
Ridiculous! We’ve been numerous times to aperitif and always enjoyed the food and the service but tonight not so much!
Been here a few times and always enjoyed dining here. The food is nicely prepared and always delicious. Wine list is well rounded and reasonable. Staff always looks to please. Never had an empty glass of water.
Highly recommend. Enjoy
After a friend recommended this restaurant, I am so glad I finally went. The service/food/staff was amazing. Our waitress was extremely friendly, helpful with the menu and very attentive. My friend and I were not rushed out of the restaurant at all even when it was getting late. Excellent all around and am looking forward to returning.
Place was quiet being mid week. Food and service was good
Great food with friends. Waiter made some excellent wine suggestions. Can’t wait to go back!
excellent for dates and great happy hour. this was my second time here and tried the escargo which was great.
Took my mom here on a Sunday around 1:30 . I thought we would get a lunch menu . Instead we were handed a brunch menu with limited choices. It’s ok , because I ordered the steak sliders and they were very delicious.
Caution when coming on a Sunday afternoon. Thats when they train there new waiters and even thou I understand everyone needs to learn . This was a train wreck from the start . Poor guy was so nervous , he made us uncomfortable. When I asked list of dressing me for the salad . I stood there clueless. Thank goodness it wasn’t busy , because the guy training had to take over .
Would still come back for dinner , because I love their duck .
Their sirloin burger is one of the best burgers I’ve ever had.
it's always fantastic and never disappoints! and I feel like I'm in Paris! Just the best...
We had to wait about 50 minutes past our reservation to be seated. They were obviously overbooked. Food is good.
We were greeted and seated right away! The food was awesome, but we had to sit for almost 30 min this time, just to get appetizers ordered. Not sure if it was just that our waiter was overwhelmed, but that should not be. We had visited this restaurant on several occasions prior and this was the first time that we took our friends there...they loved the food...I'm sure we will be back.
Always a good meal! Took friends and they enjoyed it as well.
Enjoyed . Service could have been better. Would love to see round tables added.
The food at Aperitif Bistro is always wonderful, but we had a reservation at 8pm and did not get seated until 9pm ...the manager nor the hostess came over to apologize for the wait. It wasn't until I went over to the hostess to complain that the manager bothered too come over and apologize He then bought us a round of drinks which would have been the right thing to do while we were waiting for an hour. :(
Food and service were wonderful. But crowded and noisy
NYR not a good test. Restaurant was FREEZING and waiter and hostess couldn’t care less. Hard to enjoy dinner when your teeth are chattering. No matter how good food could be I will place this on a warm weather only place to visit.
We came here for NYE dinner and had reservations at 815. It was blistering cold outside and the hostess told us that the table directly across from the door was the warmest she had. We were freezing cold all night. It's not fun trying to enjoy dinner with a constant chill. The bathrooms were even worse. I'm surprised a pipe didn't freeze in one of them. Our waiter was overwhelmed but very courteous. We ordered the Lobster Bisque because we wanted something to warm us up and it came with a congealed layer on top and it was a little warmer than room temperature. The rack of lamb was delicious as were the accompanying sides of spinach and mashed potato. The mussels were under cooked and hard to remove from the shell and the broth was not memorable. However, the pomme frittes were cooked perfectly. For dessert we had the doughnut special which were so covered in cinnamon they were inedible.
The most disappointing thing about this is that we used to live in Bayside and frequented the Aperitif there regularly. The food is always warm and satisfying. I am hoping that this was an off night due to the NYE rush, but there are many other better places to enjoy in RVC.
It’s been cold lately and the restaurant was just as cold people were coming info taking their coats off or checking them at coat check. Once they realized how cold it was inside they put there coats back on people were actually getting there coats back from coat check. I will not go back in winter not
While it was New Year's Eve, we were there relatively early, 7 p.m., the noise level made for a less than pleasant meal experience. The food was good, albeit overpriced. They were out of the wine we wanted and substituted a similar wine at the same price, but it turned out to be the "per glass" house wine and much too sweet for our tastes so they did let us select another type of wine which was decent. Our server and her helpers were very professional.
Overall, a disappointment on this try.
Aperitif is a lovely setting with amazing food, wine and service.
Food was good but not where the problem occurred. Waiter seemed upset with us when we asked for time to look over the menu as we were chatting with friends when we first arrived. He seemed like he didn’t want to be there and couldn’t be bothered when we asked him to explain something on the menu. Restaurant closes late but at close to 10 we were handed our keys by the valet because he wanted to leave. Worst part was as we were having our dessert an unwelcome dinner quest came to join us by running across the floor. Yes, a mouse!!! You never saw 4 adults run so fast to leave!!!
The Ceaser salad was wrapped in a very stale circular bread. When I told one of the servers he just looked at me and walked away. Hard to get attention of our waiter at any given time. Small cramped area. Waiter/servers kept bumping into my 85 year old mother over and over.
Kind of disappointed overall
Came here to celebrate holaday season. Had a great time. The atmosphere is conducive to great time and conversation. Tried almost everything on the appetizer menu. Food was delicious.
Pleasantly surprised by the French Bistro ambiance. Beautiful tiled floor, wood and red velvet. The bread was hot and crusty, an extensive menu with something for everyone. Mostly not French cuisine, but some good options. Risotto ball and fried calamari apps were very good. Entrees of stuffed lamb chop, a shrimp and pasta dish and of course, steak frites all very tasty and done well. Crepe Suzette’s for dessert, fantastic.
Definitely a place to return to!
Lovely restaurant. Bartenderess (?) was terrific, as was food.
Would definitely recommend & return.
Food and service excellent. Liked that they had wine flights. Our favorite french spot. Tasty oysters and clams for happy hour.
We were the only patrons; however it was Sunday after Thanksgiving. The décor is lovely. The food and menu selection were good. I am always cautious about so-called "French" restaurants where the cooks are not French; however I was pleasantly surprised. The server was willing to accommodate special requests (e.g., vegetables instead of potatoes). The portions were generous. I will definitely return for lunch with friends again.
The food was delicious!! I have heard great things about this place so I decided to try it. Was not disappointed. The cod was delicious!! My girlfriend had the lamb chops and that was also delicious. For an appetizer we had the filet mignon tacos and prosciotto . For dessert we had the chocolate mousse which was AMAZING!!!! We also tried the creme brulee,,also AMAZING!!! Definitely will be back to visit again :)
Pleasure of the dining experience was diminished by the loud and boorish waiter. Quite out of character with prior experience when staff has been pleasant and professional.
$100 at the bar no buy back
$400 for dining - waiter was rude and once again numerous drinks no buy backs
Rvc has so many great restaurants little things make people come back rather than select new place from a slew of places
Sat by the bar ,very busy because it was restaurant week
Food always good . Service was good considering all
Excellent dinning and a much needed French bistro in the community. We've grown tired of
of restaurants in the area with often disappointing results. Live jazz on Sundays is unique on Long Island with great ambience. Will return often.
LI Restaurant week. Excellent selections and food was fantastic. Service was off a bit and the noise level was extreme.
Me and two of my girl friends went for dinner during restaurant week. I had an 8:15 reservation and waited about 20 minutes for my table so it wasn’t so bad. We grabbed some drinks from the bar and were seated at a nice table, not too crowded from everyone else.
Our server did not introduce himself and it took until after the appetizers were cleared for the table to be appropriately set for 3 and not 4 after asking repeatedly. He was also VERY slow. His wine service was poor and you would think with a bottle that’s a bit more than $150 we would have gotten proper service. Anyway the wine choice was great. And we had to continue to pour our own wine, so wine service could be improved.
But the food was absolutely delicious. No complaints whatsoever.
Overall it was a good experience. I had good wine, spectacular food and great company.
Lovely restaurant with a varied menu and knowledgeable and friendly staff.
the food and service were perfect, but the table we sat at had a blinking light above us . At first we thought it would stop but it continued throughout the whole meal. Extremely annoying...
Excellent food drinks service and music on a Sunday nite
Met friends for brunch. Limited brunch items, but certainly enough for all to find something to select . Service was friendly and courteous. Great to meet friends as restaurant was not crowded so we could linger and have a quiet conversation which has become a welcome treat in Rockville Centre restaurants. Food was well prepared, presented and tasty.
