Beautiful outdoor courtyard. Excellent service. Delicious food. Love Aperitif and the fact that it never disappoints.
Found this restaurant with a nice outdoor patio. Food was great. My young nephew who never tried french food loved everything.
It’s definitely one of my favorite places in LI
Loved the food and the ambiance!
The food was great as was the service.
During this COVID time, the staff wore masks and took precautions. Our table was separated from others. We felt very comfortable.
The food is always excellent.
The waiter was unavailable on a Sunday at 4:30. There was an event but no other tables so that was a not ok. However the bus boy was lovely and helpful. He made up for the absent waiter. And again, food. Food. Food. Incredible.
This was a favorite of ours when we lived in Rockville Centre. This past Saturday we returned to dine outside, and we were not disappointed. Food was excellent, service exceptional and we had an overall great experience. Will definitely go back.
The food is always great here! Even with the COVID this place is a sure thing!
Delicious meal, attentive staff, lovely surroundings. Will definitely return!
Delicious food and great service. I will definitely go back.
Completely socially distanced and such a beautiful comfortable atmosphere- had an amazing experience for my first meal out at a restaurant
My husband got the fettuccine with seafood, abundant portion! He loved it. I got the sole, it was delicious, but for the price, kind of stingy, one piece of fish when two would have been so much more reasonable and looked better on the plate. Also mashed potatoes were gummy, obviously reheated.
Our favorite local restaurant. Service is caring and professional,
food never disappoints. Can't wait to return.
My husband and I went for an early Monday night dinner, what a great meal. My husband had the bronzino grilled moist and flavorful. I had the chicken paillard, a favorite of mine in many French restaurants. The preparation and presentation at Aperitif was superb! The risotto croquettes and my husbands blue cheese and fig salad were also delightful.
We ordered mostly appetizers as we couldn’t decide. They all sounded so good. Verdict they tasted better than the description sounded! Each item was unique, creative with outstanding flavors. My husband enjoyed the perfectly grilled branzino and I had the appetizer portion of the shrimp risotto. After five apps I couldn’t possibly have eaten an entire entree. Top this off with refreshingly light summer cocktails , a cosmo for me and a Campari and soda for my husband and you have a delightful summer outing.
I have been to aperitif many times the food used to be very good. It’s a good place for an appetizer and a drink. This is the third time I went for dinner that I was disappointed in the food. Fish was dry and overcooked duck was extremely fatty and very salty.
The service however was excellent and it’s a nice atmosphere with the outdoor garden. However three strikes you’re out on the food
Service and food was very good! I would recommend to give it a try.
This a a “go to” restaurant for us. The staff is very friendly and attentive and the food is always fresh and delicious.
The service was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive and nice. The food was excellent. I would recommend and can’t wait to go back. Great spot for a date night
Food was wonderful as was the service 👍.the bar is beautiful
Great service and amazing food. We will definitely make a return to this warm bistro
Nice spot for a casual, but serious dinner. Delicious and varied selections. Attentive and friendly service.
Good food & attentive service. Seating was a bit crowded. Bar service was a bit slow.
Aperitif - another fine meal in RVC! always worth the trip!
Amazing food, perfect service, great ambiance. My boyfriend and I came here and started out with the escargot and fondue, both were amazing. I had the coq au vin and my boyfriend had the beef Wellington, both were so delicious and flavorful. Would definitely recommend to anyone, great special date place.
Aperitif is a local gem. Food is amazing and the service was very good. It should be more crowded based on atmosphere, food and service but i think parking is a challenge. Park at the train station which is what we did and a short walk

I had to valet, as parking on a Friday night in the area is impossible. I sent my family inside as I waited over ten minutes for the valet to show up. It was a very cold night and felt I should wait outside my car, since I was next and several people had come after and they were also waiting outside. Inside, the service was inattentive. The four of us each got one little piece of bread to start. While waiting for our appetizer, we ate them. We asked for more bread 4 times before more came. Food was good, but the service took a lot away from the experience.
Aperitif is one of our favorite Friday night date spots. Great wine list, the food is always delicious! Sometimes there's even live music near the bar. The lighting is very subdued and cozy. It's a true city brasserie atmosphere right in RVC.
I can’t rate the food because we didn’t stay to eat. Our reservation was for 8:00. We arrived early so we checked in and then had a drink at the bar. They seated us at a table in the bar which was fine. But then they forgot about us We had to ask the bus boy for menus. So after a half hour of sitting there and couldn’t find a server or anyone for that matter we left. On the way out the host was helping to serve the dinners with the servers so I guess they were short staffed. Shame because we really wanted to eat there.
The food was very good. However, all dishes arrived just lukewarm. We ordered escargot, salmon, and Beef Wellington. The service was slow. The waiter told us the food would arrive "in a minute," which became fifteen minutes. Beef Wellington must be hot. Lukewarm is not acceptable.
Had a wonderful experience great service the food was delicious wintering restaurant week so the prices were very good would definitely go back again
Food was delicious, I ordered the lamb shank it was off the bone tender, my husband had skirt steak which he said was very tender and delicious
Went during LI Restaurant Week. Food was fabulous!
The food was good no complaints The only reason I am not giving them a higher rating is that there was no heat and it was cold We asked twice to put the heat on but we still had to eat with our coats on That's uncomfortable
Ate at Aperitif Bistro on January 26th which was a cold night unfortunately the restaurant was uncomfortably cold. I asked for the heat to be raised which they claimed was taken care of but it still remained uncomfortably cold. They should check how their windows were closed becuase one was not closed properly.
The food was very good and so was the service.
Please be advised I had a 4 pm first reservation as the restaurant stated they opened at 4 . I only went because of restaurant week. After Traveling from Queens Through Friday Evenings Hellish traffic I made it there at the stroke of 4.. I attempted to pay my meter but first attempted to pull the door. I saw a cook and another worker laying across the chair with a Laissez Faire Attitude, whom gave us a Gesture as shooing us away. If we were greeted like this from outside, I in no way want to even step foot inside.
I made reservations for lunch at 1:00 and when I went to the restaurant it was closed . Apparently they don’t do lunch anymore . But yet my reservations was accepted .
Excellent as always for many years. We have celebrated many occasions at this restaurant.
